Thinking about it, I might have overcompensated for my dislike of Jeter. He's top 5 at least, but there are definatley some guys I would put ahead of him. Also, he loses points for smelling of chilled grapefruit and clean oakmoss. What the hell.
-
Pujols would get my vote, obviously. In the AL, I guess I'll go with either Jeter(as much I don't want to) or Mauer. Whoever makes the playoffs would help me decide.

Oh man, Saturday Night Slam Masters. My team of Scorp and Oni was UNSTOPPABLE. Pyramid Crash ftw.

You know, I used to have an unreasonable hate for Adam Dunn. I have no idea why, but I just never liked him. I'm starting to like him now, I think. He's such a unique player, and so damn goofy, that I just can't help but like him.

Yes. This is my kind of thread. Lets see... -Lots of Mortal Kombat memories. Like when I first played the Mortal Kombat II arcade machine. Goddamn, that was awesome. Also, completely owning this 20 something guy at the age of 10 on a Mortal Kombat II for SNES display stand at Wal-Mart. I reduced him to a pile of smoldering bones. He was impressed. -Chrono Trigger. My big brother got it for his birthday, and I had to sit and watch him play it, since he never let me play. I remember being SO pissed off when he decided to fight and kill Magus instead of letting him join. I'm pretty sure he only did it because he knew Magus was my favorite character. Fucker. I got to play it eventually, and Magus was always in my party when I got him. And yes, I got the Frog ending. Along with every other ending in the game. Except the one that required you to fight Magus, on general principle. -I never owned Earthbound, but I probably rented it like 20 times untill I beat it. It took so long because I guess someone stole the big ass strategy guide that came with the game. Bunch of savages in this town. -I used to own the game Rocket Knight Adventures for the Sega Genesis. I never really liked that game, but I tried for the longest time to beat it. I remember it being pretty damn hard. My Uncle gave it to me, I think. My relatives were all pretty bad at giving video game gifts. My Aunt gave me Defcon 5 one time. I still dont know wtf that game is about. I just remember running around a space ship-looking place, waiting for something to happen. Then I turned it off.

Haha, yes. That was really quite fun to watch. Wait, shit. Jeff Weaver is pitching. Probably should have gotten like 7 more doubles there.
-
Woooo, go J. Dennis Hastert! Numbah one! I don't follow politics at all! Woooooo!
-
Dude, you have to get the matchups right. dude the matchups

Yeah, how did Rowand give the Cards 2 runs? I'm not watching the game and it just says here on the gameday screen that "Chris Duncan homers to center field. Jim Edmonds scores. " What, did it bounce off of Rowand's head Canseco style or something?
-
Hey, you know who's not very good? Jeff Weaver. Yeah, pretty obvious. I really felt like saying it, however.

Ok, was it really necessary for ESPN to superimpose blinking MVP letters onto the David Ortiz highlight? I don't recall seeing those during the game.
-
Wow, I remember when Oliver Perez was one of the best young pitchers in MVP Baseball (that damn slider of his was pretty much unhittable). Now he's part of a package for Xavier Nady? He's fallen pretty far.

Without looking at the numbers, I like this trade. If only because I find Ronnie Belliard's "Mini-Manny" demeanor to be entertaining. Could someone tell me how Belliard is defensively? I don't really watch many Indian games, I guess.

Ok, seriously now. What the hell is it about playing in Chicago that makes the Cardinals just totally suck. They haven't won a game there all year.
-
Aw man, Aaron Miles hit a homerun and I missed it. Of course, it was in Coors Field.
-
Wasn't Reynolds one of the guys who was suggesting that A-Rod be traded? Why would he be complaining about it when he was essentially fueling the fire? Unless they made him say that, that is, which is something I wouldn't put past ESPN.
-
Man...Skip Bayless, John Kruk, Joe Morgan, Stephen A. Smith, Steve Phillips and like a thousand other guys were right there, and HR gets the axe?
-
Apparently, the Cardinals are interested in everyone from Bobby Abreu(doubtful) to Pat Burrell to Dave Dellucci. I'm not so sure that they should be so quick to replace Chris Duncan in left field, he's been doing pretty well so far, and you don't have to give up Wainwright or Reyes to use him.

It'd be hilarious if Jason Marquis ended up winning 20 games with his 5.50+ ERA. Give that man the Cy Young!

Edit: This post doesn't make too much sense anymore, so I will take this oppurtunity to say that the Rams may or may not be marginally better or worse this year. I just can't tell.

Wasn't Soriano supposed to decline after going to RFK? So far he's having a career year. In fact, looking at his splits, he's hitting better at home than away. Edit: Also, A-Rod for Mike Shannon. Make it happen, Walt~!

Thanks Mr. Bauer for allowing me to fantasize about a line up featuring Pujols and A-Rod. Holy shit, yes.
