I bought a copy for my mum for her birthday. (Again hindering to people's critcisms that the Wii is a gimmick machine).

I would love to be a fly on the wall during the meetings that determine these posters. "D'ya know what would be cool? Hunter in a jail and he's walkin' to the camera bein' all mean like!"

I'd agree with that for the most part, I tend to forget who the IC champ is. Hell I even forgot on several occasions when Hardy was the champ. And I'm a Hardy fan. But the fact that MVP hasn't been in a fued for the US title since Matt got injured just makes the belt seem worthless. Are they trying to tell us that no one else on Smackdown wants to fight MVP for the belt?

No Raven? Boo-urns!

November 11th I think. I had a nightmare getting tickets. Jump into a que for Raw tickets, then the automated voice says "tickets for WWE Survivor series tour on Tuesday.." Shit no, I need Monday tickets! Jump into another que for Raw tickets, then the automated voice says "tickets for Smackdown..." Shit no, I need RAW TICKETS! Finally get through then... Me: Can I get 4 tickets for Raw? Ticket Woman: I've got four tickets in the top tier... oh no they've gone now... I've got four seats by the entrance.. nope they've gone too... Then she finally got me some. I now have no idea where I'm sitting. Row F is all I can tell you.

I got tickets for the Raw show in the Manchester, UK later on this year. Go me! Anyone else this side of the pond going?

I was in my local Virgin today and saw the RAW DVD and the Austin DVD but they we're both 25 quid each and I don't want to buy them in case they're shit. What I want is documentary style, kind of akin to the McMahon dvd, the Monday Night Wars, Pillman etc. Are both of them like that or are they like Taker's one which was just matches?

Mick Foley offered commentating job on smackdown
luke-o replied to Atticus Chaos's topic in The WWE Folder
Foley as comentator would certainly limit down his random apperances. Which is a good thing. I can't really remember ONS1 so my memories of him on commentary are vague. But I'm sure he'd do OK. Anything at this point is better than Coach. -
I wasn't either, I needed to think of a big guy and he was the first one that popped into my head.

Not a great episode but pretty good. The townsfolk we're awesome and when the place closed was hillarious. But overall it was a pretty average episode.

The 360 chick looks like Lana Skye from Phoenix Wright: But then I guess all Jap drawings look a like.

I disagree, the hype for them has been worthwhile, but something as huge as those two charcters should warrent unlocking.

It shows how long it's taken for them to do this game by the poster still being a picture of AJ Styles, Jeff Hardy and Monty Brown.

I may have been overboard with my claims that Cena and Orton are generic, that I will conceded, maybe I should expand: Cena is the very typical "root for the good guy" face, as you said it is pretty stale and he could do with a freshing up of character. He's pretty generic in ring and his promos are corny. But that's the character that he is and credit where credit is due, he does it very well. Orton is the "I'm the best wrestler in the world and I'm not afraid of anyone" heel. He offers nothing new. But his promos are good and he can usually do well in the ring. My main complaint with Orton so far as champ is that he's been booked as lucky more than anything. But again, credit where credit is due, he does it very well. I really don't see what you can't see in Joe. If Umaga or any of the other big guys pulled out the shit that Joe does then fair enough. But they don't. Wether that's the E's limitations on big guys or whatever is not the point. The fact that Joe does do this stuff is awesome. Now don't get me wrong, I don't think Joe has been amazing since he left the X division. In fact I think he's gotten worse, because the smaller guys cater to Joe's strong points. I've said on several occasions that Joe hasn't had a 5 star match since he moved into the heavyweights. Maybe some fours, but never fives. I'm not a guy who will argue that Joe is the best wrestler on the planet because he isn't. But to say he is generic is wrong. You know what's hillarious for all the wrong reasons? This: It's a typical smark comment that one booking mistake means the whole division is ruined. So they added a head shaving angle to the division, big deal. It'll be over soon and they'll move onto something else. Do I like it? Hell no, I think it's stupid. But to say that "the whole division is fucked up" because of one angle is beyond retarded. Now if they keep doing shit angles like this, then yes the division is in for a downfall, but untill then let's not jump the gun shall we?

Wow, we finally disagree on something.

Me too, just for Capcom vs SNK. Oh and card fighters.

I'm a bit of a fan.

Booking and getting over because he was in ROH aside, Joe is still pretty far from generic because he has something new to offer. Maybe it's not new to ROH fans but to the general fan, it is. And if we're talking "main eventers" who are generic, then look no further than the E. Cena is pretty generic, HHH has been pretty much the same character for nearly a decade and Randy Orton is generic heel #101. Now I don't want this to become a TNA vs WWE discussion because it's pointless, the E is techinacally a better company. Consistant PPVs, sell out shows, top rating TV shows etc etc. But to say that Joe is generic just because you're not a fan of the way TNA is booked is pretty lame.
-
They did, only now Christian's not in the title picture. And saying that, Joe hasn't been either for ages. At least now they've added Steiner into the frame just to freshen things up. Sure they added Angle again too, but it's better than having Joe v Angle again.

When Michael Bay remakes Nightmare on Elm Street and Friday the 13th, I will just view them as a pointless endevour. It won't tarnish my views on my favourite horror franchises.

I've agreed with a few things you've said and disagreed with a lot of things. I won't go into them because you're an argumentative fucker and I don't think a pre-deterimined sport requires this much argument. But that last sentance is pretty false. Joe is pretty far from generic. Why do you think he got over huge in TNA? Or anywhere else for that matter? Because he was a big guy that could do all of that X Division shit that all of the smaller guys we're doing. It's incerdibly impressive to see a man his size move as quick as he does. Joe is generic? Please, DH Smith is generic, Cody Rhodes is generic, Samoa Joe is not generic.

Comments which don't warrant a thread.
luke-o replied to Giuseppe Zangara's topic in No Holds Barred
He didn't say he wouldn't drink water, he said that didn't like to. And I'm in the same boat as Captain Name Change. Water has a weird taste and I don't like it. Now put some orange juice in there or something like that and now we have a taste. Water on it's own is pretty vile. The only time I will drink water on it's own is if I am down the gym.
