Impact spoilers for Feb. 26 and March 5, 2009
luke-o replied to Hunter's Torn Quad's topic in TNA Wrestling
Other than drop it? Which would be a much better idea. A Don West heel turn could be a good thing. Heel anouncers are more fun. As long as it doesn't lead to a Mike Tenay vs Don West match, then I will be a happy man. -
Following in the footsteps of Disaster: Day of Crisis, Sadness is still coming to the Wii: From ONM: Thoughts?

Big Teeth and Fat Bitches - The Luke Owen Story

I get a bit of slow down on it too, but I blame my crappy PC for that, not Mellow.

I'm all for DLC, if done properlly. It's my one big gripe with the Wii is it's lack of DLC. Hell I'd buy a 360 and Burnout Paradise just for the Legendary Cars DLC and I don't even like Burnout Paradise.

Ref's will never ever notice broken guitar shards in a Jeff Jarrett match.

Isn't BG a road agent of some sort? It amazes me that Kip is still with the company. Dutt going is no big loss, as Lopez said, it's just cutting the fat. The problem TNA has is a massive roster and only 2 hours of TV a week. There is just no time to get everyone on and in good storylines.

...but...that's the whole reason for the game! There are various problems with the game (not even stuff it does intentionally like the timer and save system), like the ally AI, but changing the amount of zombies in-game makes it a totally different game. Crowd control is a major part of what makes it fun, intense, and unique. Agreed. My main problem with Dead Rising was that it was so infuritating to play and it hurt the fun of the game. Rescuing people was a nightmare, the "escaped convicts in a jeep with a mini gun" was the worst thing in the world and the "nightime zombies" didn't help matters. They tried to fit too much into the game and it suffered for it.

I'm all for it. From what I've been told, Dead Space on 360 wasn't all that good, but it's a game I would have liked to try. I've got high(ish) hopes for this.

Came free with the zapper. Hardly a "must have release" Is this a shooting game? With the exception of WWG, they're just cheap nasty games that people who know what they're doing ignore. Hardly a ground breaking case for "does the Wii really need another on the rails shooter?"
-
ONM said that what they played was fun. I'll be picking it up because it'll only be like 30 quid.
-
To be honest, the film wasn't inteded to be that long. The script was 32 pages long, it just got extended via action sequences.
-
It's not meant to be a comedy, but I have had some laughs from the people who watched the rough edit. The film is about 45 minutes. RE: Black and white. The film isn't, my editor has obviously got his new editing package and went a bit "effect" crazy on it. Don't worry the film doesnt look like that. And no worries on the hating BL, I take critisism well.

As I said, its probably worth a rental.
-
It doesn't really need it's own thread. But here is the trailer for my first short film: Enjoy and be kind.
-
Me too, it's such a great idea for a game and should be really fun. But it just doesn't work.
-
Official Nintendo Magazine said it was good, but buggy and annoying. Much like the 360 orginal. I'd say rent it. RE: Mario and Sonic and the Winter Olympics, ONM have a great article and first play. It sounds good and there should be balance board action~!

Yeah, I guess 4 is a lot. Jesus Drew.

On the rails shooters are awesome. I'm glad it's on the rails. Regarding House of the Dead: Overkill, here's my review. I've been psyched about this game for a while now. I love on the rail shooters and I particually love HOTD. But this game felt like it was lacking something. To start with, don't believe the hype over "best graphics on the Wii". It's a lie. Sure, the actual shooting parts are really good, but the cut scenes are beyond bad. It's embarassing at times. But this doesn't hinder the gameplay, which is the most important thing. The gameplay itself is good, if a little standard. Not that it's very long of course. It'll take about 2 hours to clear all 7 levels and then you unlock "Director's Cut Mode" which is the same game again, only a little harder and with more disturbing cut scenes. And for a game that is centered around "getting high scores", the game is pretty unforgiving. It might just be me being not very good at games, but I died at least once per level. And when your score gets halfed everytime you die, it's really annoying. Oh, that's the other thing. You can die, die and die and you can still carry on playing. Which actually takes a lot of the skill out of the game for those who just want to finish and see the story. The story itself is okay. As with most HOTD games, it doesn't really matter. It's sick and disturbing and quite funny in places. Made to look like a bad horror film, the game doesn't take itself seriously. The acting is shoddy, but it's meant to be. The dialogue is awful, but it's meant to be. It kind of reeks of, "we've made a bad game here, let's just make it look like we did it on purpose." I know that they are meant to be bad, but as I said earlier, it's just embarassing at times. That said, the "trailers" are awesome. The game needed more trailers, less shitty cut scenes. There is no need for the amount of swearing in this game. It's so unneeded. Fuck, the ending is fucked up. But I enjoyed it. Just not as much as I hoped I would. Maybe I was expecting better, I'm not sure. But I'm going to play through Director's Cut mode and hopefully the 2nd run through will be much better.

Damn Cheech. Really? -
I can't believe that in 2009, people still use "banging" as a term for sex.

Too true. Cammy: Are you okay? Guile: I'm just half dead. Cammy: And Bison? Guile: He's all dead.

Could they have not picked two White Zombie songs that have been on one of these games before? Oh, they did with More Human. My bad.
