Whoa...has it really been ten years? I remember my brother and I scraping together every dime that we had to make the trip to Wal-Mart after school that day to pick up the SNES version of that game. We were kinda disappointed (didn't know about the no-blood thing before we bought it, for one) with it...especially after we beat the whole game with five different characters within that first night of playing it. Still, the memories of me destroying my friends and pissing them all off are great.

You don't really think the Dolphins were up for that game, do you? If you watched it, they were sleepwalking through the whole thing. Yet they still almost won. For whatever reason, they wrote it off as a sure "W" and didn't take it seriously. Compare that Houston game with the next two weeks, the Buffalo game in particular. The Dolphins played their asses off on Sunday night and it showed. THAT is the true power of the Dolphins. All I'm saying is, don't be surprised if the Dolphins end up with more success this year. I'm by no means a fanboy of theirs or anything (Go Cowboys!), but they're a damn good football team and definitely better than the Vikings.

TM's bastardized "convenience fee" they slap onto EACH TICKET you buy is what pisses me off most of all. Haven't been to any concerts lately, but I bought some Dallas Cowboys tickets last week and had to pay an extra $24 in those charges. Ordinarily, I wouldn't have bought them, but there really isn't any other choice.

Plus, the Vikings have played and beaten...who?? The Bears? The Lions? And before you say "They beat Green Bay at Lambeau!!" stop and remember that the Pack is NOT very good anymore. Witness their losing to the freakin' Cardinals! Minnesota will probably end up in the playoffs, but they aren't a serious contender. The Dolphins, on the other hand, might end up in the Super Bowl if they can avoid their December swoon. Saying the Vikes are better because they're 3-0 while the Dolphins are 2-1 is a logical fallacy.

Where's JMA to blame the fundies for this? Seriously, I think I've had about all I can stand from the PC crowd. These folks either need to grow thicker skins or just simply die...whichever is easier for them.

It'd be a little weird, but I don't think it would make me afraid to ever eat soup again. And I certainly don't think I be "mentally distressed" or whatever she's claiming here. I'd just ask Campbell's for some coupons for a case of free soup or something and get on with my life. Like any rational person would.

There's no doubt it's a step forward for the Phils, playoffs or not. But this is a team that was supposed to challenge the Braves for the division title, not scratch and claw with the Marlins for the friggin' wild card. Seems to me that they've underachieved a bit. I dunno. Maybe I'm just a little peeved that their not winning the division (along with the Mariners' fall from grace) is going to cost me in the office pool this time around.

Why hate the Marlins just because your team has been underachieving all year?

Ok, as sick as this might sound, what is the story with this? You can't say THAT and then expect to not fill us in.

8 Simple Rules should be cancelled now. The show only works because of the way Ritter's character freaks out about damn near everything related to his kids, and I just can't see it working with any other character in that spot.

One of my roommates from college and I sat in center field at the Astrodome once and heckeled J.D. Drew relentlessly throughout the game (nothing against Drew, really, he just happened to be the guy near us). We kept yelling "Your shoes are untied! You're gonna trip and fall!" until, finally, in the sixth inning, we saw him look down and his feet and then turn his head around slightly towards us. It was hilarious. We mostly left him alone after that.

I think you're splitting hairs, man. Downloading IS stealing because you're getting something for free that you would ordinarily have to pay for. The terms "piracy" or "theft" or whatever else you want to call it are pretty much interchangeable. I mean, think about it: let's say you "pirate" a copy of Windows XP from a friend of yours and install it on your PC. Are you telling me that that's not stealing?? That said, fuck the RIAA. I've gotten over 2500 mp3's, and have no plans to stop anytime soon.

The thing is, Baylor is usually very competitive in the Big 12 in everything EXCEPT football. They've won a lot of conference championships over the years in other sports, so it isn't as if they're totally outclassed or anything. Their football program just really, really sucks. Unfortunately, so will their basketball team now....
