when we were poor and living in the ghetto, yes. i've seen home alone 2, batman returns, men in black and some others that way. it sucks.

Yeah exactly. Sandman and Dreamer are the only reasons I'm buying this game even if it has horrible reviews. Punk too, but more importantly Sandman and Dreamer. Nostalgia! Obviously Fire Pro is going to be loads better than SD vs Raw, but hey, it's good to have a job. I can get both. Yeah, maybe. I was thinking the US FirePro rosters would be ruined but would it really mess with the fake Japanese rosters? I dont know too much about that, but the American version of FirePro for the GBA seemed to be A-OK with me.

PWG: 2007 Battle Of Los Angeles thread
The Flamboyance replied to PsychoDriver's topic in General Wrestling
hells yes, it's going to be awesome. I know Im a year late but I finished watching BOLA 2006 a few weeks ago. They were sitting around for about 5 months and I finally got around to watch them. All 3 nights were great. The only bad match imo was Quicksilver vs Dragon Kid. It just didnt flow. -
Early Rumor as to who will play THHHor
The Flamboyance replied to LivingLegendGaryColeman's topic in Television & Film
hells yes -
Lynn is one of my all time favorites. I liked Michael Shane during his first run in TNA even though it was a cheap HBK gimmick. I thought it worked. Perhaps some of these guys asked for releases and got them? I'd hate to think that TNA would choose to get rid of Jerry Lynn but then again, it's fucking TNA here. God, I hate TNA.

I think so. I just read that PWI reported the releases of the Bashams, Runt, Matt Bentley and Jerry Lynn.

Funniest/Best Indy Moments You've Seen
The Flamboyance replied to Diamonddust's topic in General Wrestling
About 6 or 7 years ago at an LIWF show in Brooklyn, our group decided to cheer for the main heel at the time, Jay Lover. This guy sucked big time and never got real heat, he just got some "this guy sucks" heat. That night we rooted for him HARDCORE anytime he came out, I think he cut about 3 promos that show. By the time the main event came, the whole building was cheering him on and he was defending the belt against Homicide, the number one face and the owner of the company. Jay Lover was getting Hogan circa 88 pops from everyone. Homicide was fucking PISSED. He couldnt believe it. Maybe he was just working us but he was cursing us out and it totally came off as legit at least. Either way it was hilarious. The week after everything was back to normal but oh man, that was a night to remember. -
Haha hell yeah, the middle finger war to the Australian Embassy guard was the best. check this out EVERY FOTC EPISODE

damn. i have scattered shows from 2002 onward up until GBHV night one where I started to watch every single show after. Although I did miss Survival of the Fittest 2006.

how true. I've been playing this series for a long time now, and I really look forward to the next one. I just hope CM Punk makes the roster, so my boyfriend will stop worrying. I think Punk is set. I read an early list of confirmed characters and he was in it. I forgot where I read it though, so maybe it wasnt legit? I doubt it though. He HAS to be in it.

Yeah I'm pretty behind too. I started watching Supercard of Honor 2 last night. The show sounds really good. I'm dying to see Claudio vs Morishima. Mad love for Castagnoli from me.

Samoa Joe vs. Rikishi headlines Ballpark Brawl VIII
The Flamboyance replied to GreatWhiteNope's topic in General Wrestling
Wasnt there a poll for this match? The list included Morishima! Morishima vs Joe II would have been great. Oh well. This seems interesting. Scorpio vs Mathews looks nice on paper. I hope it turns out good. -
Someone on the ROH board mentioned that it could be Jimmy Jacobs leading Tyler Blake and Marek Brave which would be pretty cool in my opinion. Whatever it is, I have no doubt it has something to do with Jacobs.

Any news on that Chikara edit? I can't wait for this. I've been playing the first GBA game on my DS a lot lately and killing people with my Nigel McGuinnes and CIMA. It's so much fun.
-
I also really love Chikara and have been watching it a lot lately. It's just really fun and easy to watch. Everything about it is good. The characters, the commentary. I have very few complaints when it comes to Chikara. Not only is Misawa going to ROH but defending the GHC title as well. He'll probably be facing Nigel McGuinness, as he's the most high profile heavyweight ROH guy who wrestles in NOAH. I really hope it's in NYC. I'd love to be there.

Roots Genoa That made me laugh so fucking hard. -
The last game I got was Starfox Command. It's fun but it can be a pain in the ass and I don't have the patience to totally focus on it. Then again, I just got bored with my DS in general. There are still some games (about 6) I have not finished yet. However, I'm sure it will get a lot of use soon. The semester starts in a few weeks and the daily commute is 4 hours. I'm excited for Zelda but I can't see myself devoting so much time on a handheld game, so it will probably take me forever to beat. Everyone makes a huge fuss over Viva Pinata for the Xbox. I'll probably pick up the DS version if it has reviews similar to the 360 game. Also, supposedly SD vs Raw is coming out for DS. Not expecting a classic but I'll probably buy it. I'm getting kinda tired of playin GBA Fire Pro on my lite.
-
I think Nigel was hurt legit. From where I was sitting, it seemed that he got hurt after doing a crossbody to the outside, landing on a guardrail that probably cut his arm open. His arm was gushing blood and he was screaming. He sat out for a few minutes while someone helped him wrap it up.
-
Yeah, I'm hoping for that too. I always thought it was unfair that Dreamer never got a spot in a Smackdown game, especially while he was hardcore champ. Also, I'm kinda bummed that Sabu won't be in it. It would have been pretty cool having him in a WWE videogame. Shame that RVD probably won't be in it either. RVD and Sabu tagging or against eachother would get me to pay full price for that game. I'm crossing my fingers for Dreamer and Balls. Back when the 3rd SD game came out, I rushed out and bought it just for Jerry Lynn, Raven, Tajiri, and Rhino. Also, I hope the CAW will improve so that I can make KENTA and Marufuji, maybe McGuinness too, if they include Thorn's finisher.
-
I like the first episode, and I'm a fan of almost anything John Leguizamo does but I agree that it seems as if this will be dragged out. Although I was at the edge of my seat watching the first episode, when it ended I asked myself how they would be able to pull this off and make it watchable. Well, I'll keep my fingers crossed.

ROH 27/7 NJ & 28/7 NY: Race To The Top
The Flamboyance replied to Garth's topic in General Wrestling
Yeah I think Keenan's last match was in February during the Fifth Year Festival tour against Jimmy Rave. I really don't remember anything from the match besides the end. Rave won obviously. I remember thinking he had a cool look. It's the only SJK match I've seen and I can't really judge him from it since Rave matches are pretty hit or miss. Everyone else seems to bash anything he has done in ROH though.
