ROH Boston/Jersey Weekend (now with results)
The Flamboyance replied to Hawk 34's topic in General Wrestling
I'll be at tomorrows show. Can't wait. -
Word. Great great show. Us InDemanders have to pay 15 bucks for it but I didnt mind one bit. ROH is the only company I really follow. I don't miss a show ever, but it takes me a couple of days to watch a DVD. Unless I'm at their live shows, I can't sit and watch wrestling for more than 45 minutes to an hour. This ppv was different. I sat on the edge of my seat for the entire two hours. I havent been able to do that for a while. It was awesome seeing Austin Aries cut that promo dedicating himself to ROH and it was odd seeing that Jimmy Rave hype video at first. Also, I always thought Danielson vs McGuiness from Unified was overrated but their match on Driven was pretty damn good.

Hells yes, Leon owned it "I brings da ruckus to da ladies" "George Pipitone up in this mothafucka" That was a great episode and a hell of a lot better than the premier ep.

I almost want to buy a Chocolate phone just because of My Moon My Man. Well, not really, but still. I usually don't really mind it, it can be fun.

I'm not crazy about the Hangmans 3 either, but if this leads to a Trios Tourny or something similar, then I'm fine with it. Every stable right now makes sense except for this one. It's just not needed but I'll try to keep an open mind for now. I love Dragon Gate. Pretty excited about Necro Butcher. I hope he's at the upcoming ppv in NJ. Never seen him live before. Haven't seen much of his work outside of ROH and PWG but he always seems to deliver. Good stuff.

I was gonna catch the stream but TNA has been so unfuckingbearable to watch even with free streams, plus I'm doing hw. I'm pretty damn glad Lethal got a clean pin. That's fucking good to hear.

oh fuck thanks for reminding me. great news. cant wait.

Indy wrestlers need to tone it down a notch
The Flamboyance replied to theintensifier's topic in General Wrestling
Honestly, before Danielson got his eye messed up, I swore Morishima would be the one getting a serious injury. Dragon kicked the shit out of him on the same spot repeatedly. It was ugly. -
What the fuck? Londrick should DEFINITELY be in this game. They only held the tag titles for almost a year. I'm way to fucking lazy to create them and even lazier to find out how CAW game saves work. Sabu, Sandman, Dreamer, Punk, Burke, Funk and Rude makes it a purchase for me though. No RVD makes me sad.

So who were your favorite character(s) to play in Mortal Kombat?
The Flamboyance replied to CBright7831's topic in Video Games
I loved to play as Sub Zero in MK3. The Scar down his eye made him look mad hardcore and he ripped ass in that game. That fatality of his where he'd give his opponent a military press, freeze them and then just tear them in half was amazing. Johnny Cage was also the man. The low blow is always crazy. -

Gotta use items a lot. I also found that certain sections of the game are incredibly difficult without doing a bit of level grinding. Yeah, I really like Rogue Galaxy a lot. I'm about 7 hours in, just beat the "Star God" on Juraika and flew to Zerard or whatever it's called. I usually spend a lot of time level grinding in RPGs so I think I'll do pretty well in this game, but yeah, my teammates would get fucked up easily in the beginning of the game. -
Alicia Webb just got her ass kicked...literally Joe Lider reminds me of a Mexican Colt Cabana. I cannot stand the ring announcer. He is the absolute worst.

WWE General Discussion - September 2007
The Flamboyance replied to DrVenkman PhD's topic in The WWE Folder
Yeah, that's the first thing I thought. I wouldnt mind that at all. It would take a while for him to shake off the inevitable Eugene chants but if he can still go like he used to, it wouldnt be a problem. -
while i do think this warrants a thread, i'll put this in here anyway, since i havent seen it anywhere else With American Dragon injured, he was pulled out of the tournament to crown a new NWA champ. Adam Pearce defeated Brent Albright last night in Bayamon, Puerto Rico to become the champion. I think Danielson was the special guest referee.

ECW/Smackdown Spoilers for the 9/4 and 9/7 airings

Hells yes -
Hells yeah. I like that movie too. Always have. That scene youre talking about is the fuckin best. Plus, Ice T is the shit. I saw that movie laying around in my store for 5 bucks the other week, I should pick it up.

Eh, The Vulture Squad works. It sounds like a typical hip hop styled group name. And yeah, the Stable Wars have been pretty meh until recently. I'm hoping Kingston or B-Boy join with Jacks group. Manhattan Mayhem was pretty good with a couple of dissapointing matches (Pac vs Richards, Jacobs vs Franklin). I got second row tickets for Misawa in NYC. First row was sold out and that made me sad. Either way, I can't wait.

Rave was on fire at the end of 2006 and beginning of 2007. After his loss to Homicide for the ROH title, and getting his jaw destroyed by Nigel in the UK, that was it for him. I like/liked Rave but he's pretty damn inconsistent. He can have a spectacular match one night and a total shitfest the next. To the post made by Jingus-I've been watching TNA since day one of the Wed night PPV era and I don't remember him at all. Ha. I remember reading a while back that Russo really likes Rave so maybe TNA could be the right place for him, but then again, it's TNA. I won't lose sleep if Rave gets buried though.

For what it's worth, Danielson vs Morishima was one of the greatest matches in ROH history and one of the best matches I've ever seen. I hope Danielson recovers 100% no matter how long it takes for him to sit on the sidelines. From what I saw, it was more of a freak accident that could have happened to anyone in any company. Yeah, the match was pretty brutal in that Japanese kind of way but I don't recall a seriously blatant shot to the face on Danielson that would have caused the injury. -

I've gotten back into gaming. I started playing Metroid Prime Hunters after having it since June and I've continued with Final Fantasy 3. I just got past the water temple. I also bought Rogue Galaxy the other day. I love the cel shaded graphics and the I'm digging the action rpg elements. It's definitely not a purchase I regret and this is just based on playing for about 15 minutes. -
The Story of XTREME PRO WRESTLING
The Flamboyance replied to LucharesuFan619's topic in General Wrestling
I picked it up for 15 bucks at Bestbuy the other day. The quality definitely sucks but hey, it's XPW and it was 15 bucks. Then again, this is only based on watching the first and second episodes, maybe production picks up after and the quality is better. I've only been exposed to a handful of XPW matches before this so it's my first time watching the actual tv show. Was every episode just match highlights? Because I was kinda dissapointed with the first episode. It was just clipped beyond belief and badly edited. -
Im watching AAA right now. It's great seeing Sabu on tv again. Him cutting promos and having Konnan translate is weird though. It's funny, Sabu fighting Extreme Tiger. Two botch artists going at it. Extreme Tiger fucking sucks though and I'll always have love for Sabu. Man, X-Pac will never stop living off DX. I can't believe he comes out to their music. Get a new gimmick, bro.

Yeah, I beat it about 7 or 8 months ago. I was actually thinking about playing it again. We were talking about it the other night while playing Wii. I convinced one of my friends to borrow it from his brother. His only experience of Okami was watching his bro play while he was on shrooms. We all agreed a sequel for the Wii could be greatness. Anyway, I think I might start to play it again because I got kinda lost in the story towards the end. I found myself not paying too much attention to what was going on and just played and played.

I didn't like it the first time I saw it, but the second time I saw it I thought it was rather funny. Try to give it a second watch, the humour in the scene might surprise you. Favorite part of the episode is when Bret is in the bathroom tripping, Jermaine walks in and Bret goes "Get out of here, I've got acid reflux" I didn't catch that the first time, and it had me LOLing last night. yeah, you are absolutely right. i watched it again the day after and found it a lot better than the first time. also, the show is officially getting a second season. nice

Anybody watch this last night? It had its moments but i felt it's the weakest episode so far. Highlight of the show was definitely Murray but that's usually the case anyway. I didnt really like the scene in Daves apartment. I just didn't find him lying about living with his parents funny. Not sure why though.
