Poster for Bound for Glory. It looks pretty good.

Actually, I think they are building Bashir in a good way so people don't think of Daivari when he is on tv. I know that that's going to be one of the first things that internet fans will think of, but the name change is a good start. Calling him something completely different gets people to stop thinking of the WWE reject part of him, at least for a short time. I think he shouldn't be pushed this hard this quick. Let him grow into #1 contender over time instead of just pushing him quickly. Whatever happened to Doug Williams, I thought I read that TNA had signed him to a deal right before the World X Cup?

I saw TROPIC THUNDER last night, and it was one of the best times I've had at the theater all year. I couldn't stop laughing the whole time. Very good movie, my second favorite film this year behind HELLBOY II.

Question about 'Taker's Wrestlemania streak: when did they first acknowledge it? Was he 3-0 before they said, "Hey this guy has a streak" or was it deeper in? Just asking this, because after thinking about it, I rrally think that is one thing that they have that's untouchable in the ring. I think he is going to retire undefeated, but that's just me.

If anything, this has gotten people, on here at least, talking more about TNA in a somewhat positive light. I think this can be good to great for TNA. Foley can have many different roles, from putting people over on the mat, to becoming a good color guy, to even taking over as a GM. More positives here then negatives, IMO.

I think theaters refused to play POSTAL due to what it was about more than who it was directed by. That being said the dvd, as an extra, will have the boxing matches btween Boll and his crtics.
-
I'm not saying he is going to bring in non-wrestling fans, but there are still some people that might not know about TNA, casual fans, kids and such. Seeing Foley talk about it, and say he is involved might entice those fand to check it out.
-
OldSchool, you are correct. He was one of the people interviewed for the Rough Cut segment.
-
I think people are over looing one main thing that Foley has over almost anyone else in the company, he's known outside the world of wrestling. He's a NY Times best selling author, he's known to people in the media from his time in WWE. He can easily go on Letterman or Leno and publicize TNA better then most of the people alreadt there. He's someone that can draw people based on that alone.

I've never been a fan of the whole "I'm bad because I'm an enemy of the state" gimmick. It didn't get Hassan over, and I don't think it will get Bashir over. I'm afraid he's going to get the X-Division title at the next PPV as well, which would totally suck. On the pull aparts, I agree its a stupid premise, but remember this is wrestling, a job, sometimes, made up of one stupid premise after another.

It was much better then I thought it would be.

And WWE never does stuff like this? There is nothing wrong with what happened at the end of the match. Jobber loses and heel teases hurting them more until the face that is going to feud with said heel runs out to make the save. Since they are building the feud, the security and refs run out to make sure this doesn't lead to anything. It's a pull apart, which we saw in WWE recently with Cena ad Batista before they had their PPV match. Pull aparts are part of building up a feud, which I'm sure you know. As far as the show goes, it was an enjoyable show. The two things that stood out to me at the beginning of the show, they actually acknowledged that Gail Kim left on air during the Kong/jobber match. Also, I don't know about anyone else, but I can't believe Bashir's theme music, it starts out with the sound of a plane flying and then crashing.

Gee I can't understand why anyone would call Uwe Boll a hack. Not at all. I've heard and seen reviews of POSTAL and it's getting decent reviews. People find it very funny and love that it's so anti-PC.

I liked the Angle spot. No one expected that to happen at all. In regards to the twins, does anyone know about their wrestling skill? I know WWE doesn't always care about that with their Divas, but it's something I'm interested in knowing. Are they Victoria/Nattie/Beth in the ring or Kelly Kelly/Candice in the ring?
-
I like the idea of Jarrett coming in to help the "real" TNA, but then again Joe hasn't been there since day one, but he did make a national name for himself there.
-
2001 MANIACS is one of the best remakes in recent memory. Robert Englund and Lynn Shea are awesome! The gore is sweet and the story is easy to follow.
-
This week apparently. Shocked it took WWE this long to have twin divas. Here's a photo for those who aren't aware of these two Unless they come off better looking on TV, this doesn't impress me. The only thing different about them from most of the other Divas is their hair color. Other then that they need to eat something, they don't need to be fat, but they look way too skinny in that picture.
-
In refferance to Jarrett returning on tv, if they end the show on the 11th with it, it's not bad. Plus, it's not like he's going to draw a huge buyrate for his return. And maybe they brought him out for the show since they have another big surprise for the PPV (Mick Foley).
-
I think if Jarrett takes a low main event/high mid card spot it should be fine. Let the focus of the show be on other people and it's all good.
-
The new DragonForce is pretty good. The new Iced Earth on the other hand is awesome! Matt Barlow is back and better then ever. The new album has a great epic sound to it. Any fans of theirs should really pick this one up once it comes out.
-
Samoa Joe really should have won the title about a year before he finally won it. Booker T should have gone over Joe in their first match.
-
So, it's ok for JBL to not be a muscular freak, but someone having a tryout must be?
-
The results I read on gerweck.net said that Tomko beat Joe with help from Nash. That being said, TOMKO IS BACK! I love it! Maybe Gail leaving is a swerve as well? Probably not, but that is my mark out moment of the week.
-
So much for Jericho in the Scramble match.
-
So, you can have a 20 minute promo open the show with no commercial break, but you can't even have a match go 10 minutes before the commercials start.
