  1. I like Coach as well, but yeah, he did make some flubs throughout some of the days. He has more potential then most of the people they just throw out there though. He was very good on MSGNY when he was on there for a couple of months. It's funny, reading the stuff people are saying about him on gerweck.net, you'd think he was the next coming of the greatest announcer ever.

    Watchmen

Corey, I have to agree. I bought it Sunday and started it Monday, finished it yesterday. I had the same thing to say about the ending. After reading it, it is a little easy to pick out some of the things that can be left out of the movie. Don't think it's a spoiler, but I don't want to upset anyone
  3. Looks like The Condemned with cars. Are you kidding me? The Shining was an amazing book. The movie, on the other hand... It scared me to death as a kid, but watching it recently, it bored the shit out of me. It's not even close. I didn't like the original version of the film much. I actually liked the made for tv version a lot better.

    Watchmen

Or they could have thought, WB spent all this money in the movie and publicity and it's their loss.
  5. I didn't see the roast, but that is one of the funniest things I've heard in a long time!

    Watchmen

From what I remember from hearing the story last night, back in the 1980's and early 90's (from 1986-1991 I believe) Fox owned the rights. One of the producers left Fox and he had the rights to the film version of THE WATCHMEN. There was an agreement that if he sold the rights to a third-party, Fox would get paid for this. Fox never got paid, according to them, and they don't care about getting money for the movie, they don't want it released. From the story it made it seem like they don't care about getting money, but they don't want anyone else making money off of this.

    ECW on Sci-Fi (8/19/2008)

I'm actaully starting to enjoy ECW a little. I dig Miz and Morrison as they work well together. Evan Bourne is simply put, awesome. Ricky Ortiz wasn't horrible (this is the first match of his I have seen), and I can really see people, speciffically kids, getting behind him with the rally towel. Gavin Spears looked pretty good in his debut. I missed the main event, but from what I understand, it was good. I'm digging Henry as champion. Finley/Knox segment wasn't terrible, but I don't like the "kindler, gentler" Finlay. Also, Super Crazy sighting. He got fat, but can still go. I think with guys like Bourne, Ortiz and Spears coming in, it wouldn't be bad to start to bring in a secondary title.

    Watchmen

I heard about this on ATTACK OF THE SHOW last night, and they said if Fox gets their way, the movie isn't even going to be released. They interviewed an editor for Entertainment Weekly, and he said that Fox doesn't want money, they don't even want the movie to come out.

    WWE Raw (8/18/2008)

If anything, I would compare Punk's title reign to either Jericho's title run, both are not the focal point of the shows, or Angle's first run. I think what should happen is Punk loses the title to Batista, then he turns heel. Punk can ask for a rematch since Batista never beat him in the pervious meetings, and have Batista win by pinning someone else. Punk can then chase the belt saying he is the real champion.

Oh boy, now a "let's steal the titles" story.

    WWE Raw (8/18/2008)

I love seeing people in the audience crying during stuff like this. Some people take this stuff way too seriously.

    Pineapple Express

I saw this on Sunday for a second time, and it was better the second time around. Right now this is my second favorite film of the year behind HELLBOY II.
  16. I saw CHARLIE BARTLETT this weekend, and it wasn't that bad of a movie. Robert Downey, Jr. was very good in it. It almost made me think if John Hughes (sp?) made a movie now.

    Impact (8/14/2008)

Actually, if Nash also joins Angle, Sting and Booker, then Nash can be the one that cuts the promo and I think he might be able to get Sting over as a heel, at least for a short time.

    Impact! Spoilers for 8/14

These are quick results I found on gerweck.net: (1) Consequences Creed & the Motorcity Machine Guns d. the Prince Justice Brotherhood. (2) Christian Cage & Rhino d. The Rock 'n Rave Infection. (3) Matt Morgan d. Johnny Devine. (4) Sheik Abdul Bashir d. Jay Lethal. After the match Sonjay came out and attacked Lethal. (5) Taylor Wilde d. Christy Hemme with Traci Brooks as the special referee. After the match, Kong came to the ring and destroyed Taylor until Gail Kim made the save. (6) Hernandez d. James Storm Jim Cornette announced the main event for No Surrender. It will be Samoa Joe putting his title on the line in a Fatal 4 Way match. There will be 3 matches to decide who his opponents will be and the first one will take place next week with Booker T vs Rhino. (7) AJ Styles d. Kurt Angle. The lights went out at one point and when they came back on Angle had a black bat. As he went use it they went out again and when they came back on this time AJ had a guitar which he used on Angle and got the win. I like the use of Traci as the ref for Knockouts matches. She looks cute in the ref outfit.

    WWE Smackdown (8/15/2008)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xSXZS2BUQJs Colt is simply awesome. If he is up for good, i need to DVR SMACKDOWN for his stuff alone. The Kozlov vs. Festus match wasn't that bad.

    NOES re-make casting updates

Mellow, I thought the same thing. It was posted earlier, I think in CTDWAT.

    Foley to TNA????

The size certainly is a hinderance (sp?). I really like the six sides, but the ring really should be a little bigger. I think the main problem (outside of the booking) is Orlando. It's about time to start moving out of there. Taking the PPVs out is a start, but now they need to movie IMPACT! out as well. I also like the different entry ways. Realistically, why would faces and heels come out of the same place, when they might run into each other and just fight before they get to the ring. I know that something that has always been done, but i actually like that. And LAX having their own entry way was awesome when they were doing the anti everything, but I like that they are so badass that they still have it.

    Foley to TNA????

I disagree with that. My friends aren't what you'd call smarks. They aren't into reading stories online, or anything like that, and they like the ring. Also, my fiancee's co-worker who is a huge WWE mark saw TNA one day and fell in love with it, and he said he liked it because of how different it was, including the ring, and he too is not what you'd call a smark.

    Many guys released

I like how people are blaming The Miz, just because of a report that he missed his mark. Maybe there is more to it then that. Maybe, since none of us are backstage, there was something going on behind the scenes that caused the release. Not sticking up for The Miz, but you can't blame someone if you don't know what goes on in the company.

    Foley to TNA????

I hear the ring argument all the time. I have been watching TNA since day one. When they first went to the 6-sided ring, I thought it was weird. I had to get used to it, and find nothing wrong with it now. When I watch old TNA footage, to me it's more weird in a 4-sided ring. I think bringing in new fans, it might hurt, but once you get used to it, it's not that bad. It's like a wrestler with a new look. It takes some getting used to, but after a while, it's the norm.
  25. For anyone that has Time Warner Cable (at least in NY), there is FINALLY an all horror station. FEARNET has been turned into a free on Demand channel. Right now I'm watching the remake of THE BLOB after watching the original. They also offer THE DEVIL'S BACKBONE, ESCAPE FROM NEW YORK,976-EVIL, 976-EVIL 2 and other really good and fun horror films. Time Warner finally got something right.
