Mmmhmm....so you happen to choose the one gimmick RAW out of the year (RAW Roulette, and yes, I'm aware there were a few other 'gimmick' shows, but you get the point) and base the opinion solely on that? In case you didn't realize, it's not every week that the females have a match with a bed in center of the ring, it's not every week that opponents switch clothes, and not every week where there's a strange bedfellows match (that's TNA >_>) where Haas, and Murdoch, who have no connection whatsoever team up. And I don't see how the JBL/Jericho stuff didn't build to the RR. Maybe it didn't get you, excited, but for a match that was basically over Jericho being pushed into JBL, they've gotta build it to a convincing 'hate match' somehow, and I'm sure this has done the job. I'm usually working on Monday's, but I took a sick day so I decided since I was home to put it on. I know that stuff doesn't happen every week. I didn't say the Jericho/JBL DIDN'T build towards RR, I just stated that it didn't do anything to get ME interested in their match, and I've been a Jericho fan since his ECW days.

And WWE doesn't have rematches from PPVs where the challenger wins the title on a free show? Title changes on free TV haven't happened for WWE in a long time (I'm not counting tag titles since WWE doesn't care about those). WWE has rematches of PPV matches all the time the night after. I think people just look for something to bitch about TNA for. God forbid there is a title change on TV. I know when I ordered the PPV I didn't have to see a title change for the Women's title. Give it away on free tv, it shows that anything can happen so why not tune in.

That was the first RAW that I have watched in over a year and I must say....that show sucked donkey balls. The good main event doesn't save a shitty show. The "dress as the guy your wrestling" match was dumb as fuck. The women's match was garbage. God forbid the women look good AND wrestle a real match, nope can't have that. It was just to get a returning Ashley over, and she looked like shit. Gail Kim vs. Awesome Kong kicked that match's ass. The HHH/Regal match was bearable at best. JBL vs Jericho was shit and didn't do much to get me to care about their RR match. People shit on TNA for stupid shit but WWE gets away with some of the shit they did last night? If it's shit, it's shit and last night was shit!

It's not that I don't like Black Reign, it's just like Corey said, it's boring. I like the idea that Dustin "don't know about Reign," but the character isn't anything to write home about. Rellik, I like a lot. I also think the little team of Judas, Reign and Rellik isn't bad.

Overall, I thought this was a solid show. It had it's ups (Women's match, fans going nuts for Tomko) and downs (Kaz vs. Black Reign). It was no Bound for Glory, but it also wasn't the worst PPV over the past 12 months, either. I thought the Women's match was everything that a brawl should be. Gail went over without having Kong lose credibility. This PPV also planted seeds for the next PPV, be them good or bad. LAX showed why they are one of the best teams in the world today. I am also unsure of what to think about the X-Division match. I want to see where it goes before blowing up. If it leads to the collapse of the X-Division, then it sucks, but I'm going to give it time. AJ picking Angle baffles me as well. I would have liked to see him go with his tag partner, but I'm going to see what happens with this as well. ODB, in her 3 seconds, was golden and I can't wait for her to be Women's Champion.

WWE General Discussion - January 2008
cd213 replied to Prophet of Mike Zagurski's topic in The WWE Folder
IIRC, when Orton was feuding with Cena I read that they were traveling together. I've read reports that Cena is well liked and people were happy since they were saying Orton can learn how to act from Cena. I say good for him. Someone needs to stand up to HHH if what is said is true. -
I have all of his albums. I like his stuff, especially his album where he covered 40's & 50's crooners songs.

I'm looking forward to The Buzzcocks new double CD. I believe that I read that it was a live album from their last tour, but anytime they drop something it's worth a listen. Also, my friend is working on his new album that is set to drop in '08. Check him out HERE if you like good old school metal.

Who is this guy anyway and why does he think he is so important?

Asylum only makes movies that are "rip-offs" of other movies. They just released I am OMEGA, they have Alien vs. Creature. There is Snakes on a Train, Child 666 (which is The Omen).

WWE General Discussion - December 2007
cd213 replied to Hunter's Torn Quad's topic in The WWE Folder
I think they should move Taz back to SmackDown! and either sign Cyrus or Joel Gertner to team with Joey on ECW. Both guys worked really well with Styles in ECW. Taht won't happen though, so how about Corino? -
How often is it that a movie pulls in over $40 million and it comes in second, and by $30 million?! That's insane.

Recently I have been watching Oz in repeats on HBO. I remember watching this every Wed. night when they originally aired. I had forgotten how great of a show this was. It was one of the first shows to air on the movie stations. It never won an Emmy, yet was easily the best show and I have yet to find on bad episode. The acting was great and the writing was superb. I loved how the writers would make you feel sympathy for these dirt bags, but then made you hate them all in the same scene. I have been trying to get the show on DVD for years, but the $60 price tag made it hard to do. Recently I was at bestbuy.com and found them on sale for $13.99 EACH!!! I bought seasons 2-6 for a total of about $86. I would loved to have gotten season 1 but it is out of print, so I found a copy on e-bay for $31. Anyone else watch this great show?

Kaz sucks at promos. There was one time he was calling himself "The K-A-Z" too. I was thinking the same exact thing. Too bad Nova got fired for drugs, otherwise I would say bring him in as Kaz' mouthpiece. Also, Mapleleaf Muscle? I wondering if his character is supposed to be a parody on the Masterpiece.

I really can't stand Led Zeppelin. I tried to get into them many times, but they bore the snot out of me. They have maybe 3-4 songs that I can tolerate and that is being generous. Someone didn't get their Social Security check this month and they needed a way to make a quick buck. Bands like this, including the Stones, who I love, need to just go away and stay away. There is something really sad about seeing musicians that are 60+ "performing" on stage. That and Plant really sounds horrible now. This is just sad, and I don't care how many people fill up a stadium to cheer for them. And I know I'm probably going to get flamed for this post, but fuck it, I don't like Zeppelin, and never will.

Wait, Molly showed up?!?! Damn having to work until 10:30. Does anyone have pics or know where I can download a copy of this besides torrents?
-
I'm going to wait until I see the show. I know that they are doing 3 weeks worth of tapings in 2 nights so they might re-edit some of the segments to make more sense then they do at the moment.

This is review for the camera that I have, the Olympus FE-230. I love it.

How is Feist even considered a new artist? She's been around for years. This isn't even her first solo album. These nominations are all fucked up too. Shit like that always happened. I remember Fiona Apple getting nominated for the same song like 3 years in a row?!?! Avengened Sevenfold was nominated for best new artist, and won it when they had three albums out. It seems that when groups/singers finally become famous, that when they are considered "new artists."

I don't think 1.1 is a bad rating. You hae to look at it this way, Spike isn't in every market as it is. When RAW was on Spike the ratings weren't very high compared to what they were before and have been since. I think that if Impact was on a different station, let's say FOX for example, I think they might do better then that. If you look at UFC, the ratings were always better then Impact, but they were also always steady, in fact Impact as a lead in to UFC did much better as well. Impact did 1.1 and UFC did 0.5, albeit it was a repeat, but still.

Man, I'm a TNA mark and not even I'm that bad. I know when they do bad things, although Impact wasn't bad this week.

You transition the tag titles to Team 3D (via LAX or possibly a multi-way match). Then the MCMGs beat them for the title at Destination X. Rematch and blow-off at Lockdown with Sabin/Shelley getting the win. Jay Lethal faces Sonjay Dutt, who finally explodes from all the tension that he's been holding inside and turns heel. OK, that's if I were booking. During their match at the PPV I brought that up to my friends that were watching and we all agreed that that feud would be pretty fun to watch. Sonjay being all peaceful one second and then beating the crap out of everyone the next.

I use my Zune player to listen to MP3s. Winamp, MediaPlayer and Nero ShowTime I use for videos and DVDs (when I watch DVDs on my computer, which is rare).

Actually from what I heard when they were shooting Last Days in Seattle, Michael Pitt walked around town and people actually thought it was the ghost of Kurt Cobain. Van Sant is a very strange director. He seems to take time off during shooting to do really nothing at all. He also doesn't use the script much during production. He does A LOT of improvising and tells the actors to do the same, at least he does this on movies like Elephant and Last Days. When my mom was doing the payroll on Last Days, he drove her nuts with all the reshoots and days off they had. Next to The Good Shepherd, this was her least favorite movie to do payroll for.
