    The Brothers Solomon

When I saw the trailer for this a couple of months ago I thought it looked great. The more I saw about it the more I wanted to dig out my own eyes. Looks like a horrible and unfunny movie with only potty humor (not that there is anything wrong with that if done correctly). I'll pass on this and see a good movie, like Hatchet.

    OAO 9/6 Impact Thread

It's a perfect way to bring him in. Once Tomko finally breaks off from Christian and has his feud, I'm sure AJ will do the deed of his "leader." This can lead to Christian and AJ vs. Tomko and a "mystery" partner. This partner will then be revealed as Albert.

    OAO 9/6 Impact Thread

Thinking about it that way, it actually works for Tomko more then it does Angle, the whole "shades of gray thing." I'm really enjoying him a lot in TNA. He's been used the best out of all the WWE castoffs. He's not super pushed to World Title level, yet, but we get enough of him on TV to know he's got talent. I'm interested to see if there is going to be some sort of Diesel/ Shawn Michaels thing with Christian/Tomko in the near future. I think the fans would get behind Tomko big time if they did.
  4. Damn, that sounds awesome!!!

    Complete Raw spoilers

I was looking at the rosters for each of the shows and there really isn't anyone else besides Kennedy that would work without this angle ending up really horrible.

Rob Zombie to direct next Halloween movie

I saw it last night with a group of people that were HUGE fans of the original and we all had the same response, it was a DAMN GOOD HORROR FILM. People that are hating went in WANTING to hate it. People were going to hate this from the word go since the original had such a huge fan base. Those people need to get a life. It's a movie, and a damn good one at that. Did it have it's flaws, yes, but what movie doesn't. I saw the workprint copy last week and thought that many of the changes were very good, except I liked the workprint ending more. This is a very good stand alone film. I go into movies different than most people since I do reviews, and judge movies differently than most. I wouldn't give this movie more then 2 1/2 stars (mind you it's just a step below 3 for me) but I really liked it. The acting was very good, especially McDowell. The kid that played young Michael did a good job. He brought sympathy to a character that no thought they would feel that for, and that's not a bad thing since he started off killing people that might have deserved it for different reasons. Then when Michael starts killing people that didn't deserve it you hated him even more. Sherri Moon wasn't horrible. Danielle Harris was HOT!!! The chick that played Lori did a good job of making the character her own. Overall, this wasn't the best movie and the best remake (I like dDawn of the Dead more), but this isn't as bad as MOST people are making it out to seem. And the over 32 million that it made showed people didn't mind it as much as some are making it out to be.

    SuperBad

I can tell you from fact that Seth and Evan stayed friends. They went on to write Superbad a movie that went on to critical and commercial success.

WWE General Discussion for August 2007

I saw that the other day. I actually bought it since it is one of the few decent designs on a WWE t-shirt.

    TNA Impact spoilers

I hope I'm wrong about it as well, but I think it all depends on what happens with Joe. The other thing I was thinking about was TNA did a good job keeping Angle a secret. No one knew he was going to join them, maybe they are having Joe going around saying he is not happy about TNA to throw people off from his eventual win at BFG. It will make people care about him again, may be their train of thought.

    TNA Impact spoilers

Time for TSM's TNA smark to ring in about the tapings from Orlando, not that many, if any people care, but these tapings really don't look very good on paper. I know it has happened before that the tapings read really bad and the show came off better. I am a very big Angle fan and only slightly care for Joe, but there is really way too much Angle. I HOPE that the only title he walks away with from the PPV is the world title. I see him dropping the X-Division title to Lethal and Team Pacman ::shudders:: will win the tag titles. Ricky Banderas will interfere and Abyss will lose the title match wetting up Joe (after he beats Christian at the PPV) vs. Angle where Joe will finally win. If Joe leaves the company he will be stripped on the next Impact and mini Tourny will start with Jeff Jarrett will face off against Angle at the next PPV after BFG for the title and JJ will win due to interference from Brock!

    Michael Vick's "Dog Fight" Investigation

That apology was pure shit. I love how EVERYONE seems to "find Jesus" or "find god" once they've been caught. Would he have been asking them for forgivess if he had not been caught. He can say he is sorry till the cows come home, I hope he rots in jail.

    Project 161

So...what ever happened to this thing?
  14. I was thinking of where they can go with Cena and Orton now. Why don't they turn real life into part of the show. Tomorrow Orton can be at the hotel and he just flips out since he didn't win. He can then trash the hotel room and that can be his gimmick. He has just gone crazy and his is giving a rematch. At the next PPV it is built up as Cena vs Orton "the nut job" that will do anything now to win the title.
  15. Those aren't restholds. Rest holds involve resting and Orton looks like he's putting every effort in trying to strangle Cena until he passes out. I love Orton's chinlocks. Go back to watching your lameass Petey Williams flipping Piledriver shit. Ok, I will considering it's an actual movie that is supposed to knock your opponent out for long enough to pin them. And those chinlocks are considered rest holds. A rest hold is a hold where you are not moving giving time for you and the opponent time to catch your breath enough to do another big move, no matter how much effort it seems the person is putting into the move. The only problem with that in this match was after the chinlocks it was back to more punching and kicking, no big power moves or chain wrestling.
  16. This was the first PPV that I watched since WM. I went to my friends house for his birthday and we decided to get the PPV. I must sa it was a great night, my friends and I had so much fun...making fun of the PPV. This PPV was such shit. The best part was Regal dancing around. The Austin part was so obvious once you know that beers are in the cooler. Kane and Finlay was a fun little opener. Nothing great though with an obvious finish. Umaga vs Carlito vs Kennedy was ok. Kennedy did a good job in this match and I liked the interaction with Umaga. I'm looking forward to this feud. Chavo vs Rey was shit. It was so slow. Rey made Chavo look horrible. He needs to just retire already. After his interviews, Rey needs to go away for a while now. Women's Battle Royal was horrible. Very boring. The best part was seeing Victoria and Mickie, even if it was only for a few seconds. Punk vs Morrison was whatever. ECW is done. HHH vs Booker wasn't that bad. It was good to HHH, but you can really see how much weight he has lost. He looked pretty good. Khali vs Batista...no comment Orton vs Cena had a good build up. The ending was such shit though. Cena always looks dead bu can easily pull out his finisher and not look tired. Orton looked pretty bad. I don't think I have seen so many rest holds used by one guy in such a long time. I was happy to see Cena win, I want to see him go on a 2 year title run just as a FUCK YOU to everyone that boos him. I've always hated the gimmick, but have been a fan of his since his Prototype days.

"John Morrison" is a Horrible Gimmick

For someone that is horrible on the mic, it's going to take time to get there. Not everyone is a natural on the mic, some people need to work on it. Look at someone like Shane Helms. When he was in WCW he was HORRIBLE! When he came to the WWF and got the Hurricane gimmick, I used to be excited for his promos, especially the ones he had with Rock. Those were great.

WWE General Discussion for August 2007

Don't forget, in these games they have the storylines you can play. Benoit might have been a big part of that in the game, and thus they would have had to edit that whole part out. It's more then just taking him out of the wrestler menus.

    oAo Movie Rentals Thread

I only rent through NetFlix now and it's stuff that I don't want to pay for (mainly box sets that are too much money). Right now I have Oz season 4 discs 1-3. Next up after I finish all 6 seasons I'm going to go though all 26 sets of the classic Dark Shadows.

    NHL Offseason - 2007

Michael Peca signed with the BlueJackets. That's great news, since now he won't be joining the Rangers.
  21. Many of the new wrestling t-shirts really aren't that good. Too many are corny. I do have a few that I like to wear though that aren't bad. ECW: EC f'n W, Lance Storm (Canadian Superstar) TNA: Samoa Joe (This one is really nice though, on the front it has a Samoan design and says "Joe Knows Pain" on the back), Christian Cage (Got Charisma?), TN Eh (Team Canada), I also bought a team Canada baseball jersey a while back and when I realized it was the same as the one that team Canada wore I had 00 D'Amore put on the back.

    That Was Stupid!

I hate how wrestlers will just wait for finishers to be done to them. Example: whenever The Rock would face someone and he stand around waiting for his opponent to get up and the opponent would "get his barrings" back and walk right into the Rock Bottom. Finishers should be able to be applied quickly. I might not have liked Stone Cold but the Stunner/Diamond Cutter/Ace Crusher could be done at any time and with the quickness.

Smackdown Spoilers 8/24/07 from Columbia, SC

No, quite different. Even if they did the feuding tag champs thing, it's a completely different story. (An actually interesting one) Especially since Matt/MVP hate each other, Cena/Michaels didn't persay. ::Waiting for people to shit on this idea:: Just like they shit on Joe and Angle being teamed together. IIRC people were complaining that Joe and Angle being teamed together was shitty and they didn't want to see the feuding tag champs thing again. If people don't shit on this as much as they did when TNA did it, that just proves my point I made a while ago that when TNA does something people shit on it, but when Vince does it they have no problem with it. As far as the show goes it looks OK at best. I'm interested in seeing Palumbo since I've been a fan of his since his WCW days.

Who would you prefer winning at SSlam?

I would like to see Orton win for one main reason, it's been said on this board many times and I'm surprised no one brought it up yet, having Cena chase the Title would be better for his character right now. Orton wins and we get a couple of months of Cena chasing the title. Once HHH is through with his feuds with Booker and the bastard child of Vince he moves on to Orton and Cena moves on to fight someone for the #1 contender. HHH beats Orton and Cena wins the #1 contender setting up HHH vs. Cena.

    SuperBad

I loved the movie. I have yet to see an Apatow/Rogen film that I have not liked. I liked the fact that Seth Rogan had no problem with his youth being made into a movie. He doesn't seem to mind making fun of himself. Any time I see either of those names attached to anything in the future, my $10 will be ready to be paid.
