...and the Rangers are the first team to move on to the next round in a hard fought game. Exciting from the drop of the puck. I always love the hand shakes at the end. It's classy.

It's not that I'm tally pro-TNA, I don't like eveything they do. There is a lot that I don't like that they do. I hate the fact that they have such gimmic heavy matches at all the PPV's. I took my name after one of favorite up and coming wrestlers' finishers. I've followed Petey's carrer for a while now.

That's sweet, I was interested in trying to find this film. It looked really good. Do they sell it anywhere? My recent purchases: Kiss, Kiss, Bang, Bang Hellbent Altered Inferno The Bird with the Crystal Plumage It's Alive 1-3 2 Disc Set Dead-Alive Mario Bava Box Set Kidnapped

Actually, it was. I do music and movie reviews and decided to do a review for this PPV. As I stated in the review, I hated the gimmic of the electrified steelcage, but the match itself was really good. I enjoyed the wrestling on the show. That's what I enjoy the most, I don't care about gimmics or anything like that. As stated Lynn vs Daniels was what a wrestling match should be. Every match kept me interested in the show except the Blindfold match. I would review WWE like that but I haven't watched RAW in 8 months, SmackDown in almost a year and ECW I catch once a month if that, and I haven't watch a PPV from them in about 4-5 months, with the exception of Wrestlemaina which was very subpar with the exception of like 3 matches.

Talking about bad on the mic, I'll probably get shit for this but Michaels and HHH are god awful. That's right ahhhhh, I said ahhhhh Michaels ahhhhh and HHH ahhhh are god awful ahhhhh on the mic ahhhhh. Plus they are boring as hell trying to be funny, which neither are.

I was watching the Rangers game last night and came to the realization that Atlanta is a hell of a dirty team. I've known that for a while, but it came out in full force last night. Oh no they are getting crushed, no reason to get chippy the way they did. Didn't they learn from the end of Game 2 that Avery and the other Rangers weren't going to be suckered into taking a stupid fighting penalty. I will trade off Avery of Kovalchuck(sp?) in every game. Also, the Ragners, though 3 games have really done a great time shutting down Hossa's line.

This is a review I wrote that got posted on the Wrestling Observer webite in the feedback for LockDown:

Iced Earth's Tribute to the Gods is pretty fucking badass.

In Europe that is what they are doing since Europeans really don't know what a Grindhouse is. The plan from what I read is to do the same thing here. The Weinstein Company wants to release Planet Terror first then have [/b]Death Proof[/b] make the rounds on the indy circuit and then a few months later DP will go back into the theaters. I think it's being done since the movie seemed long for a few people. Also, when it hits DVD you will either be able to pick them up seperatly or together.
-
I am a fan of them. I don't like everything they have done but I do own 3 of the 4 albums that are out right now. When the new comes out I'll have to pick it up. As far as Finish metal goes, I'm more of a LORDI fan. Similar to the sound of Sonata though, I really like Iced Earth, DragonForce, Dream Evil, Nevermore and Nightwish more then them. I would however, love to see Sonata when they come to New York but I will be working when they show up.

It will drag out for a few weeks and then at the PPV he will show his true colors when he turns on TNB.

I think that is Death Proof came before Palnet Terror it would have been better. After all the action in PT, you can't have a dialouge heavy, no action first have of a film. It kills the moment. Being in to grindhouse fare I got the joke of DP and it was well made. Kurt Russell was classic of his portrail of the killer that is nothing more than a pussy. The thing that tied in the two films was the "women empowerment" part of the films. That was done well. I know I'm going to buy the double feature version when it comes out oppsed to the single film version.

If anyone can pick up a copy of Rue Morge magazine there is a 12 page article on Grindhouse and there is a very good history of what a grindhouse is. It is a great, fast read. You can really learn a lot from reading it.

I've been waiting for this film to come out for over a year now since I first heard about it. It was the second best film I saw this year behind Hot Fuzz. Grindhouse is an homage to the films of the 70's and 80's that played exclusivly at theaters all over the country. They were the films that were "anti-Hollywood." At that time Hollywood had a code of how movies were to be made and these movies that later came to be known as "grindhouse" movies were grainy, sex-filled, violence-filled adrenaline rides. Some of the more famous ones were The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Last House on the Left. and Bloodfeast. The most popular area to house these films was 42nd Street in Manhattan. Anyone could get into these films as long as they had the money to. You would all kinds of seedy people to come out to these films. The advent of the VHS was actually part of the downfall of the grindhouse since these seedy people could find the movies they wanted and bring them to the privacy of their own home. Hoor films, over-the-top action, sexploytation were just a few of the popular genres. Planet Terror was a play on the horror films and Death Proof was a play on the action films. The movie as a whole was an amzing piece of cinema. As two seperate films, they would have done pretty well. Not enough people in this day and age understand what a gindhouse is and were probably turned away. The film was well put together as it really had the look and feel of an old grindhouse film. I was not alive when they were popular, but I have seen a number of the films from then, and thismovie captured the feel exactly. Even the faux trailers were well done. I especially loved Don't from Edgar Wright since it played on a popular fad from Hollywood at the time. In the 70's and 80's Hollywood would take a popular horror film from Europe and bring it over to America and give it a different name that had nothing to do with the movie itself. Very well done and funny if youknow what the joke is.

That wasa the final I was hoping for. They are more badass then any of the other chracters left. I am going to sit out of this one since I don't watch any of the shows except for The Soprano's but I don't like the show. Have only watched it in passing here and there.

I liked that opening segment. AJ with the "you made a pinky swear" when talking about the title shot, that was great. AJ is really playing that cocky, funny heel great.

Montreal vs Toronto on Saturday with a playoff spot on the line in the last game for both teams, no THAT'S awesome. That game in going to be insane. Rangers make the playoffs in a great game where King Hank was on his head. I was hoping that at the end of the 2nd period the refs would have let Avery fight. He was ready to knock Boulion's (sp?s) head off.

Means nothing to me as well. WGN is a Chicago station and I live in NY.
-
This is actually good for TNA. They can use this as leverage to get a 2 hour show. I would be interested in what station is this "major cable network." MyNetwork TV might not be the best bet. The IFL only get about .7 right now since they aren't in some markets. I would say if the cable network isn't serious, TNA should stay with SPIKE only if they are given a 2 hour slot with time for specials. I like the pre PPV specials they have.

I listened to the album 2 times yesterday. It is amazing. It might be the best album since Pretty Hate Machine, IMO.
-
I can't wait for this. I am going to watch my newly bought Season 3, Part 1 in the next few days to get ready for the next season.
-
Very true, they seemed to have played many songs before they were popular.
-
Not only was it a drunk driver but the asshole was driving without a license. I hope he burns in hell, that piece of shit!
-
I might have to add Scrubs when they used How to Save a Life. For those that have never seen it: It is one intense scene for a comedy.
-
That just sucks. A Christmas Story is one of my all-time favorite movies. This is a sad day in cimena.
