I think that anything will be better then that piece of crap. It really should not even have Day of the Dead in the title. That's blasphamous to George A. Romero!
-
Don't sleep on The Hills Have Eyes 2. Horror franchises usually do well in their opening week recently, at least the Rated-R ones; see Hostel, the Saw films, Dawn of the Dead 2004, Texas Chainwsaw Massacre remake and The Hills Have Eyes remake.

TSM TV Badass Tournament nominations thread

Don't forget Ryan O'Reily. He was one bad mother. You didn't want to get on his bad side. He never did the work himself, he always got some other shmo to do it for him. -
Actaully, it depends when the MITB match is. If it is before the Originals vs New Breed match then after Punk wins the match he can cause the Originals to loose the match and finally pick his side.

With Petey coming out to help EY, does that mean he's the friend that Eric has been talking about recently? Is this going to set up Petey vs Roode for EY's contract with either Petey winning or EY turning on him and staying with Roode saying this was their plan all along?

I believe this is the first episode since Jarrett announced that the matches will be getting more TV time, at least taping wise. You can see that things this time weren't rushed and everything seemed to flow nicely. I really enjoyed last nights show, except for the Raven promo. I couldn't understand a thing he said with that thing over his mouth, plus why rename the wrestlers just to have them leave the group?

I remember when I first heard that Nash was coming in to TNA to work with the X-Division guys I thought it would kill the division. It seems to have actaully breathed some life into it. He helped Shelly and Austin Starr get more over. Now they have him with Dutt and Lethal, I am interested to see where this goes.
-
I like Shelly teaming with LAX. It gives them another dimention, plus it expands his character as far as doing anything for a dollar.
-
AJ mentioned the feud between Rhino and Christian. That is the first time in a long time a previous feud was mentioned and the reason this feud started.
-
It gives me hope that they will bring in some interesting team, not including The Heart Breakers. I am still hoping for Jericho and Show/RVD, but that's wishful thinking. Maybe even Jericho and Lance Storm. I thought her going off was supposed to lead to a woman's division. Also, am I the only one thinking that once her team wins we will see Christy and her team vs. VKM and a debuting China (Doll)? Actually I don't think it will happen, but you never know.

I like the match. I have always been a fan of the number 1 contender idea. I thought ROH had it right when they did the rankings. Back in the day the IC title was a stepping stone to the main event. The way I see it this year is Edge and Orton cost each other the match and they feud coming out of 'Mania. CM Punk wins and that sets up Punk vs Michaels as someone said earlier. Once Michaels takes care of Punk he will go on to feud with the returning HHH over the title at SummerSlam. (HHH will return and they will have a DX reunion and HHH will then turn on Michaels and then beat him for the title.)

It's suppose to be his version of that under armor shit NFL guys wear............I know it looks stupid but I get why they have him wear it. He needs to add the "WE MUST PROTECT THIS HOUSE" kneedrop then. That had me rolling on the floor. He's a walking commercial for that stuff. Under Armor needs to get him into some commercials. It'd be good publicity for WWE.

I'm actually really interested in seeing who they bring in to be Mitchell's new monster. I'm thinking that there might be a chance that they will bring in Albert since he is tag champs with Tomko in Japan. I have always been a fan of him seeing as he's not bad for a big guy. And to be honest I also am interested in seeing who comes in as Christy's team to beat VKM. There is a lot of stuff right now in TNA that I'm looking forward to other then that, but there is also some stuff that I am not caring for. For me there is still enough to keep me interested in TNA then there is to have me tune out.

I guess it will be sooner rather then later that Joe is holding the ROH World Title again.

I think they blew it with 3D when they didn't put them over AMW. They didn't even really have AMW go over decisively at the end. They just kinda had 3D decide revenge on Team Canada was more important then the titles they'd be chasing for months, making anyone who invested in their title chase feel pretty stupid. 3D has been treading water ever since, and now are trying to leech of LAX's heat instead of vice versa. I agree. When they first came over people were all into them going after the titles. I have never been one for putting already established wrestlers over homegrown tallent ala 3D going over Team Canada and Angle getting the rub from ending Joe's streak.
-
Thank you for pointing out my error in wording. When I said people not caring, I meant that as in booing them. Like WWE fans were doing that to Cena, TNA fans were doing that to Team 3D. In order to get people back to caring, cheering for them, you have to do certain things. Smoetimes, like for Cena, you need to put them with certain other characters, and in the case of 3D you have to put them in gimmic matches. I'm not saying I love gimmic matches month after month, but that's what they think they have to do to get people to root for certain wreslters.
-
What Raw have you been watching? You must have some strange definition of the word "caring", because the people haven't come close to not caring about Cena. Exactly. Just because a lot of us on this board are bored by Cena's act, doesn't mean most of the people in the arenas and watching at home are. He still gets huge pops. I just wish he'd change things up a little bit...also, does he have any other clothes? He's been wearing the same outfit for almost a year, it seems like. Actually if you remember when he was feuding with Jericho, Christian and Angle the fans were booing him out of the building. He even acknowledged it on tv in his promos. I don't mind Cena since I've been following him since UPW. The way they started getting people behind him again was his feud with Edge, who people hated since he slept with Lita behind Matt's back and the fans got behind Matt and hated Edge to begin with.

The way I see it is each PPV Christy is going to bring in another Tag Team to go up aganst VKM and loose until maybe she brings in Jericho and Big Show/RVD.

Bullshit. You get 3D over by having them realize that LAX is slowly becoming a face team that is embodying the market that both TNA and WWE are going for. By putting 3D into more of a heel mindset, you get both Devon and Bubba back into the roles of two guys that went out and attacked the fans, that jumped down people's throats and didn't give a fuck what you thought because god dammit, they were the fuckin Dudley Boys and they're simply going to beat the respect out of you. You don't need to keep throwing them into gimmick matches to get 'em over, you throw a singles match between the two teams in there once and awhile. Homicide VS Bubba.. Hernandez VS Devon.. after a bit of time, switch the matches up to freshen things up. By putting them in re-tread street fights and "ghetto fights", you wind up burning out the fans on two teams that can have a good match with good heat if you let them build it up. Granted, part of that takes Bubba not being a bickering little baby and give LAX their due.. As far as "tables VS pure wrestling" ... TNA fans loved the pure wrestling of the X-Division, of others that can link a match together and make it mean something. Look at Joe/Angle.. there weren't tables and spotfests.. you had two guys WRESTLING (OMGWTF11!!~ right?) and those fans ate it up. So don't say that the only way to get people over in TNA is with gimmick matches when its been proven otherwise. I never said the only way to get people over in TNA is gimmic matches, I said the only way to get the Dudley's over that way is. No one seems to care about them anymore. It's the same reason why the WWE decided to put John Cena in a team with Michaels and against people like Edge and Orton. People stopped caring for Cena so they put him with their number one face and against the two most hated wrestlers. It's only a way to get someone over. Seeing that TNA doesn't seem to have clear cut faces and heels there is no one to align the Dudley's with to do that. (I know that certain wrestlers are heel and face but most are in that gray area.).

I have never seen that before. It's sickening. What happened to each player after the incident? Is the player that went down better now?
-
Stafford hit Perezoghin pretty brutal to start the incident, which is often overlooked, but if Perezoghin had gone to jail that night, I'd have been fine with it. Stafford's convulsing was awfully fucking scary. Hollweg clobbered Simon, and probably could have expected a fight or to be nailed later on. But that was one of the most disgusting acts I've ever seen, probably worse than McSorley. I think this was worse then McSorley. From what I remember Marty swung and hit the side of the helmet. Simon swung the stick like a baseball bat at Hollweg's face. Any lower and it would have hit Ryan in the throught, and that would have been real bad. The woset part of this was the shitty Islander fans were cheering Simon as he left the ice. I know I shouldn't expect anything less, but a player on the oppsing team could have been seriously injured and they were cheering it. I don't care if it was a team you hate, have class!
-
I have been a huge Chris Simon fan since his rookie year. I have followed him from team to team and when he came to the Rangers I was happy seeing as I am a huge Rangers fan. When he went to the Islanders I was pissed, but I saw it coming seeing as he's one of Ted Nolan's boys. That stick to the face of Hollweg was a dirty, cheap shot. Simon should get at least the rest of the season and the playoffs (if the Islanders make them.) Hollweg didn't have that coming since he was skating back to the area to stay with his man like you are supposed to. It was a clean hit and no one wold ever expect Simon to do that. I have lost a lot of respect for Simon as far as playingwise. He's a hard player, but he has never been dirty. This is a scar on the face of Hockey. It's going to be all over the highlight shows and doesn't do anything good for the sport.

That's really the only way to get Team 3D over nowadays. Back when they were in ECW they got the heat they needed to get over. Today though, they can't get the heat of yesterday. People have grown bored of them. The best way to get someone over with today's wrestling fan is to do gimmic matches. Fans will pop for tables, but they don't pop for pure wrestling, atleast not "smarks."
-
I don't mind when two wrestlers/teams face off against each other a number of times. I don't know what the big deal is, it's called a feud. I don't know if it's because the average wrestling fan's attention span is shorter or not, but back in the day feuds would last a year +. There is nothing wrong with a feud lasting longer then one match.

I bought a Dell in June and it's still going strong.
