  1. I've heard that it's the uploading that they can get you for, not the downloading. I don't know if it's 100% true, but it makes sense. If you are downloading, you can say you got the MP3s from iTunes or the Zune Marketplace.

  2. It's a hypocritical situation. A company like SONY puts out CD-Rs and CD-RWs so you can make your own CDs from music you download. They put out their own MP3 players, but then they bitch and moan when you don't spend $18.95 plus tax for a CD from one of the bands on their label. They can't have it both ways. This is a situation where they want to have their cake and eat it too.

  3. ADVENTURELAND was a huge let down. I was expecting a totally different movie from what I saw. I didn't hate it, but I didn't love it either. I think the weakest of the Apatow Universe films so far.

While Adventureland was directed by the same guy who did Superbad and features some Apatow regulars, there's no actual involvement by Judd Apatow. I'm seeing it on cheap night on Tuesday. Reviews seem to indicate it's a lot more serious than the trailers make it out to be.

I don't know about others, but the trailers and commercials make it seem like a straight comedy about a teens wacky adventures while working his first job at an amusement park. Don't go in thinking that at all.

  4. Agreed with the above. There are far too many people involved at this stage (Legacy, McMahons) to have it simply end clean in the middle of the ring. They've got the Backlash main event to think of, it's only about three weeks after Mania.

And that's why I think that this won't be the main event. You don't want to send the fans home after a cluster fuck. YOu want to send them home happy, and that's why wouldn't be surprised to see HBK/Taker end the show.

  5. I got these from gerweck.net. Some interesting stuff from these tapings.

    - Motor City Machine Guns d. No Limit (w/Kiyoshi & Sheik Abdul Bashir) in a IWGP tag title match.

    - Samoa Joe d. Booker T (w/Kurt Angle) in a Lethal Lockdown advantage match (clean finish too - though Angle tried to interfere in the middle of it but was stopped by AJ Styles). Joe grabbed a kendo stick after the match and went after Booker and Angle but they got away.

    - Hernandez (w/Homicide) d. Kiyoshi (w/No Limit).

    - James Storm (w/Robert Roode) d. Scott Steiner (w/Kevin Nash) by DQ after Steiner got Storm with a steel pipe. Steiner took down Beer Money after the DQ but Team 3D made the save. 3D gave Beer Money their titles and they had a staredown before leaving the ring.

    - Awesome Kong, Raisha Saeed & Taylor Wilde d. The Beautiful People & Madison Rayne. Velvet & Madison got a hold of Kong after the match and Angelina cut off some of her braids.

    - Homicide (w/Hernandez) d. Chris Sabin (w/Alex Shelley) and Tetsuya Naito (w/Yujiro, Kiyoshi & Sheik Abdul Bashir) in a triple-threat match.

    - AJ Styles came to the ring and called out Jeff Jarrett. He's tired of the rumors going around backstage and wants some answers. Jarrett says when AJ finds out who he chose as the fourth teammate (and the only hint he gives is that he's a former TNA champion) he'll be sorry for not trusting him. MEM came out after that and Kurt said Kevin wasn't cleared to wrestle the final Lethal Lockdown advantage match tonight against Team Jarrett's fourth member. Jarrett says Kurt can wrestle instead.

    - Team 3D is in the locker room with Lauren when Brother Runt walks in. He's in town for a show and wanted to stop by and wish the guys luck for their match in Philly. Balls Mahoney then walks in and does the same.

    - Abyss & Daffney (you read that right) d. Cody Deaner & ODB in a mixed tag match. Matt Morgan came to the ring after the match and took Abyss out. He said he'll be showing Abyss the final blueprint of his destruction at Lockdown.

    - Mick Foley comes to the ring to do an interview. There were two chairs set up in the ring for it. Foley says the person he's interviewing comes from Truth or Consequences, New Mexico - it's Cactus Jack. He goes back and forth between Foley and Cactus Jack like a madman, talking about how Cactus will be showing up at Lockdown to finish what he started with Sting back in the day. Sting then comes to the ring to try and talk some sense into Foley. He goes nuts and takes out Sting, saying he's got the power to do whatever. He even has the power to play whatever theme music he wants, so he calls for Curry Man's theme to be played, then Shark Boy's, and finally Sting's. The segment ends with Foley standing over Sting with his barbed wire bat held high.

    - We see Balls Mahoney and Brother Runt leaving the building on the big screen, only to be attacked by Beer Money from behind. They fight to the ring, where Beer Money just destroys them. Roode even hit a Bubba Bomb on Runt through a table. Team 3D finally makes the save and Brother Ray gets on the mic. He says their match in Philly was just supposed to be a good wrestling match between two good teams for tag team dominance, but it's gotten personal now. Every match is supposed to be in the locked cage, but theirs won't be. It's going to be a Philadelphia Street Fight now at Lockdown.

    - Kurt Angle comes to the ring for the Lethal Lockdown advantage match. Jarrett then comes out and gets on the mic. He says he's tired of the rumors and all that and he'll be putting them to rest tonight. He's done what's best for TNA and what's best for the fans. He then introduces the fourth member of Team Jarrett and Kurt Angle's opponent for tonight - "The Fallen Angel" Christopher Daniels. He comes out to a remixed version of his last theme and a HUGE pop from the crowd.

    - Kurt Angle d. Christopher Daniels after the original decision was reversed by Jeff Jarrett. This was a really good match. The finish was sorta like a roll-up of sorts - I'm not really sure how to explain it. After Rudy Charles declared Daniels the winner, AJ came out to celebrate and Kurt got pissed and said the match needed to be restarted. Apparently he had his shoulder up. Jim Cornette comes out and teases saying the match would be restarted but then calls Kurt the loser and then Kurt went nuts. Kurt then calls out Jarrett to make a decision. Jarrett shows the replay on the screen and it does in fact show Kurt's shoulder go up at 3. He says he's not happy about doing this but declares Angle the winner. Angle and the Mafia celebrate in the ring until Samoa Joe's music hits. Joe runs in and chases the Mafia and Jarrett out of the ring with AJ and Daniels to end the show.

The return of Daniels, no more The Gov. name, Balls and Spike! Beer money being serious but still kicking ass. I think this show is a good one for building Lockdown.

  6. This is all I want out of Michaels/Taker

At somepoint the two collide with each other, knocking them down to the mat. Wait a few seconds, then...

    Simultanious Kip up/Sit up!!!

I'm not a Michaels fan, but that would be AWESOME!

And Molly f'n Holly. I read that she was going to be overseas. If she is in fact coming back, that will be worth the price alone for me.

  7. Fucking "Aquarius/Let the Sunshine In." Boomer assholes actually listened to that shit?

But y'know, this certainly isn't limited to songs from the 60s. For instance, my initial thought here was "Dream Weaver," the mere mention of which is enough to send me into a bloodthirsty rampage for days on end. But it was released in 1976, and therefore would not qualify.

The first part of this gets a YES! Even with it being used at the end of 40 YEAR OLD VIRGIN, it's still an annoying piece of cow dung.

The second part, not so much. As bad as the song is, it will forever be the song that Wayne Campbell hears when he first fell in love with Casandra for me. And for that reason alone, it becomes more awesome!

  8. Get pumped for April 1st:

So now the question is...would TNA be stupid enough to play an april fool's joke on it's customers?

That's what I was thinking. You order thinking you're getting up to 75% off, and they end up adding up to 75% on.

  9. John Cena said that New York Yankees baseball star Alex Rodriguez should receive jail time after failing Major League Baseball's steroid testing. “[steroids] are the personal choice of the athlete,” Cena said in a report from the New York Daily News. “And [Rodriguez] got defensive, saying he used because he felt he needed to. If there was a set of [legal] stipulations set in place, he may never have even considered it.”

Cena added, “The government should take the initiative, and if you get caught using drugs, then you should go to jail. A criminal record will hurt your endorsements and long-term contracts.” You can read the article at this link.

So, if John gets what he wants 75% of the male roster, some of the divas, half the McMahon family, and a few of the commentators, will go to prison. Raw is...Oz.

I would rush home every Monday to watch that.

  10. I find it funny that people complain when Foley or someone else puts over WWE, that said wrestlers shouldn't put over the competition, and when Foley puts over his own product as better people complain about that as well. Now, don't get me wrong, I'm not being a TNA apologist here, in fact last night was the first time I watched any part of Impact since last month's PPV, mainly because I thought it sucked, and the MEM vs Frontline feud bores me right now. My point being, that either way TNA goes about it, putting over the competition or putting them down, people are complaining. What do you want them to do then? (and I know the same people aren't complaining both sides, but there are people complaining for both directions.)
