Chris Benoit Dead - Toxicology results released
Mecca replied to Human Fly's topic in The WWE Folder
I don't think of Benoit as an evil monster, I think of him as a man who finished his life with serious problems that he didn't let many people know about. It's very sad that he felt he needed to take his wife and son with him..the stress and strain all of that Eddie....he probably in his state of mind thought they'd all be better off with Eddie. It's sad to know he likely ended up as a emotionally broken mentally unstable man that could do those things. it's pretty obvious to me that over the last couple of years he had slowly slid more and more and wasn't the same guy we all held in such high regard. It's really really sad Eddie wasn't still alive or he didn't have anyone else he could open up too all this could have been avoided. -
They'll never cut back on shows....house shows are important to the bottom line, and the wrestlers pockets.

I don't think the WWE is up for losing months worth of revenue..... I like the idea of cycling people where everyone gets 2-3 months off but they'd have to hire some more guys...and most guys would get mad and wouldn't like that it cut into the money they make.

At the time they said he did at as a gesture to try to show Benoit he wouldn't fuck him over, most people thought he would and so did Benoit..... I remember reading a story about how Sullivan threw Nancy into a wall stuff like that....of course I don't have a source this is just memory of something a long time ago. -

They closed like 2 Benoit threads already.....they did away with non-stick because they thought "there were to many idiots on the board" remember it is the elitest board....... Pretty much if you post anything that doesn't infer that he's a total piece of shit that should rot in hell you are an asshole and thread closed. That was what I saw earlier there. -

Some people will take this and turn it into their agenda to hate the WWE for any and everything..... -

I think the WWE has handled this all pretty well considering all that has gone on, regardless of what Dan Abrams thinks. -

If they had waited the wrestling world would have gone bonkers last night....I know those people will never understand the wrestling circle but it wasn't plausible last night. -

Benoit lost his fucking mind there really is no logical reason for this, even if it is a mental illness, depression what have you, he just lost his fucking mind. -

What's the point of constantly going "one of the IWC's" constantly in this thread...you are posting on a a fucking wrestling message board son, you are no better than any of the IWC are you so desperately trying to act like you are above. -
That's my opinion aswell.......people vastly overrate how much congress or average people really care. Congress would only care if they thought Vince was distributing that was why they went after him before.

My point is that Kevin Sullivan isn't some awesome person.......let's not try to take Benoit being a psycho means he was a swell guy. Nancy had very poor taste in the types of men she was attracted to...she liked violent abusive types there's no other way to describe it. -

Benoit, Sullivan, Nancy all were/are highly volatile people I think that much is obvious. I don't really think there's a good or bad guy in this, because what happened with Benoit is far worse that doesn't validate the bad things Kevin Sullivan reportedly did aswell. -

Charlie Haas brother died while under a Develop deal working down in Ohio somewhere.......I don't think they ever once mentioned it on tv. -

Some women gravitate toward violent men and can't get away from them...... That wrestler are a frat thing is really ioverblown, few people are friends most of them are cut throat and would stab you in the back and take your spot as soon as you turned around....I don't buy that the boys look out for each other what so ever. -

We dont really know what he's been though entirely and if it was "alot of stuff" but there is no excuse, nor really reasoning, that would make us really understand what the fuck this was all about. The best way I can summarize this all is that he was mentally VERY unstable, even back years ago, and the accumulation of such lead to this. I was basically saying in my opinion since Eddie died he had become a much different person.......very disturbed emotonally and mentally. But he was enough of the "same guy" in the WWE for them to think this is just typical weird Chris being weird, but even toward the end he got even weirder. It appears he changed into something he wasn't anywhere close to what he was before....but even close friends of his like Malenko pretty much said he was weird and no one was really close to him.... Don't take this as some excuse for him it is very horrible what he did, just seems like a man who slowly spiraled out of control into this horrible ending after he lost his best friend. Nancy had a restraining order against him in 2003, before anything happened with Eddie. It's pretty clear this guy has been fucked in the head for longer than just Eddie's death. I'm not disputing that I'm saying when you throw that on top of what he already was it possibly played a role in taking him from aggressive asshole to psychotic murderer. -

He had spousal issues with a violent temper though way before Eddy passed on. I dont think it was the stress and frustrations of losing him that led to this. He had some serious mental issues that were probably always there. I don't deny that to be the case, I think all of those things became magnified even moreso though....I think all of these situations just completely added onto everything to a man who was getting more out of control with his mental stability. -
Did Punk do a thought to Benoit at the end there or was I reading to much into his emotion....

Given what he did, it's best not to say anything. I don't fault WWE for the tribute show, unless they absolutely knew that Chris probably did it. I don't think they would go out of their way to pay tribute to a murderer I don't necessarily fault them for the show but according to keller the moment everyone found out, everyone had a suspicion it was the act of Benoit. I think a case can be made either way for if they should have done it or not. UPDATED: Tuesday, June 26, 2007 - 11:11 a.m. Here are some random thoughts that reflect what I've been thinking and talking about the past 20 hours... -Raw last night was a mistake. WWE personnel had reason to believe (because I did at that point from people I was talking to) that it was a murder-murder-suicide and that Chris Benoit was likely the perpetrator (based on what I was told about the text message contents they received the day before). Doing a tribute show to someone who very possibly had just killed his wife and son was a bad call. Now, that said, I soften my criticism in this respect: As after the Owen Hart death, people were under duress and not thinking clearly and had a three-hour show to create quickly. Not acknowledging Benoit would seem crass, if not presumptuous of his guilt. The tribute to him as a great family man may have been a true reflection of the person they knew, but it does in retrospect seem akin to a Hollywood or sports world tribute to O.J. Simpson's contributions as the details were sketchy regarding what happened with his wife. -What was the other option? Cancel the show entirely and air reruns of a USA Network movie or syndicated series in its place with a crawler at the top of each hour explaining the cancellation. Or have Vince introduce the show as he did in mid-ring, then broadcast a PPV or a previous edition of Raw or even a DVD documentary on tag teams or another innocuous subject. That'd be my call, and it's not a case of 20/20 hindsight because everyone in WWE suspected what's come out today, with less precise detail of course, at the time that show was put together. Wrestlers can mourn without cameras filming them. Keller is big on blasting them for everything these days but I honestly believe they handled it the best they could have.....I don't fault them for holding the tribute show. -

So he has been suffering from issues for awhile.....been through alot of stuff.....she tells him she's leaving and taking their son and that's the moment he goes over the edge never to return. I'm honestly not surprised by this scenario, that's pretty sad to actually not be surprised by something like this. Sounds like a man that was going through some very severe mental and emotional problems far more severe than even anyone close to him would ever understand.......I think that goes back to him being private and never letting anyone in so to speak. Just a sad situation all around. -

Based on what they said......he likely didn't hear either beg. She had blood on her head he probably clocked her and knocked her out...and his son was asleep.... I still just think the guy lost his fucking mind, but who's to really know.....All that weird bible shit for all I know it was his weird planned way of going to see Eddy again and taking his family with him. So he believed Eddie was in Hell? Like i said religious people truly believe if they ask they will be forgiven for anything..........and that to him at the time it may have been some weird justification. -

hey, maybe Chris Benoit takes religion literally. What do you think is better, this world, or heaven!??????? It's kinda hard to go to heaven when you MURDER your wife and kid. But he believes if he asked for forgiveness he would be forgiven.......that is what it teaches you.....some people are really weird about it I'm telling you. I'm not religious at all myself but there are all kinds out there. -

When drug testing began to affect their PPV cards and buyrates guess what.......it didn't matter anymore. It's about money above all else the odds of them ever doing any of this stuff are so low....they're nice thoughts but in the end it's about money and nothing else.
