Ok Vince is funny.

I just like how she groups the WWE with hip hop......and brings up Stone Cold being a wife beater even though it has 0 to do with his movie.

This take on the movie is hilarious cause it comes from a political person who's always on MSNBC and such... Debbie Schlussel: "The Condemned": Time for a Divorce from GOP's Version of Pimp & Ho Rap By Debbie Schlussel Sometimes a Republican pot needs to do its own introspection. And get its own house in order, while it keeps the heat on the kettle. In the wake of Imus-gate, we've been hearing about Democratic Presidential candidates--like Hillary Rodham Cankles and Hussein Obama--hangin' with the worst purveyors of hip-hop trash. They should be ashamed. Hip-hop is among the worst cultural influences, and it has helped speed up the decline of American civilization. By standing side-by-side with--and accepting campaign contributions from--vile rappers, prominent Dems have legitimized their beat-laden spewing. But the GOP has its own version of Hip-Hop. In fact, the Party of Lincoln and Reagan has also embraced a violent pimp-and-ho culture all of its own: WWE--World Wrestling Entertainment. I was reminded of this, Tuesday Night, when I screened the thoroughly sickening new movie, "The Condemned." Starring convicted wife-beater and WWE star "Stone Cold Steve Austin" a/k/a Steven James Anderson, this horrifying snuff film is produced by WWE and its CEO, Vince McMahon. Normally, I'd have skipped this killing-and-torture fest. But because I will be reviewing movies on a national cable news network on Friday Morning, I was obligated to see it. Two hours later, I'd viewed a two hour series of non-stop torture, slashing, hacking, shooting, beating, raping, dismemberment, exploding humans (with bombs strapped on), and other assorted killings. The "plot"--if you can call it that--is that 10 men and women condemned to death and sitting in prisons around the world are acquired by an egomaniac American (of course) millionaire and dropped on an island for 30 hours. The millionaire is shooting a sadistic online reality game show, "The Condemned." At the end of 30 hours, only one of the condemned can survive. He/she must kill the other nine or be killed by virtue of an exploding ankle bracelet. At any time, one participant can try to blow up another by tugging on the other's exploding ankle bracelet. The tagline for this horrid blood-fest on film: 10 People Will Fight. 9 People Will Die. You Get to Watch. And, sorry, this is no "300." It's not art. And there isn't any brave or important message about freedom. Though the movie pretends to have a moral message, uttered by a Diane Sawyer knock-off named Donna Sereno, that's really just a phony attempt to give the kosher seal of approval to this celluloid horror. Yet, despite movies like this and other products like its regular TV shows filled with the pimp-and-ho mentality, the Republican Party continues its long-term relationship with WWE and the McMahon family that owns, runs and stars in it. At the 2000 Republican National Convention, then-WWE wrestler Dwayne Johnson a/k/a "The Rock" addressed delegates. Jim McMahon and his wife had a luncheon reception attended by George W. Bush and wife Laura. At the 2004 Convention, the GOP again invited WWE personalities as the GOP's special guests and invited McMahon to include the GOP in his effort at having WWE consumers and fans influence elections. That, despite the disgusting pimp-and-ho story lines on WWE shows. And there is no sign the GOP will change course in 2008, especially when the party is desperately fighting to beat Hillary in a very uphill battle. It's time for the GOP to finally divorce itself from WWE--not because its fan base is waning, but because it's the right thing to do. If the GOP cannot do that, Republican activists and conservatives are in no position to attack Hillary and B. Hussein Obama for their alliances with disgusting rappers. "The Condemned" is just the latest in a long line of disgusting trash coming out of WWE. If conservatives and Republicans are truly offended by the trash coming out of hip-hop, why are they so silent about the trash coming out of WWE? And finally, there are "conservatives" like Bill O'Reilly, who are upset about Obama's friend, rapper Ludacris. His raps are obscene and disgusting. But the pimp-and-ho and drug-pushing phenomena he is glorifying is the same stuff "Kid Rock" a/k/a Bob Ritchie is gushing over. Yet, O'Reilly has praised Kid Rock because "he's a friend of 'The Factor,'" while O'Reilly rips on Luda. And the GOP initially invited Kid Rock to perform at Bush's 2004 inaugural festivities (he was disinvited after some family-values conservatives protested). But here's the scoop on Kid Rock, from my November 2006 post on this sleazebag: Rock/Ritchie has repeatedly told the world that he modeled himself after convicted, imprisoned Detroit drug kingpin "White Boy Rick" a/k/a Richard Wershe, Jr., with his fur coats and pimp hats. Wershe ran one of the most notorious drug rings in America in the 1980s. He ordered the murder of countless people. Kid Rock glorifies Wershe in his lyrics and wrote a letter on his behalf to authorities in an attempt to get Wershe paroled. Thankfully, Wershe was not paroled, and soon after, he was discovered to have been running a national auto theft ring from his prison cell, for which he's since been convicted. Kid Rock is an admitted former drug dealer, but he still speaks glowingly of doing drugs. He gleefully raps about his life as a drug dealer, doing crack, and having sex in a school bathroom with the fellow drug dealer who had his out-of-wedlock kid. (It's not like he had to be this way. He comes from a wealthy family. His father sold his lucrative Ford dealership for millions. The whole trailer park thing is an act.) He had to go to court to stop the circulation of a video of him and another rock star getting oral sex from groupies on tour. Glorifying hard drugs and misogyny are themes in a lot of his most popular "songs." He used to "date" porn stars, and they and strippers are a constant accessory on his tours. Don't forget what he told Rolling Stone: Bill Clinton ... a [expletive]pimp. ... The guy's my hero. (He told the mag he was stoned on drugs when he met Clinton at the White House.) Ritchie--the self-proclaimed "Pimp of the Nation"--likes to give the one-finger salute in every publicity shot and toured the country in his "White Trash on Dope Tour." He used the Michigan chapter of crime-prone "Outlaw Biker Gang" as security at a video shoot. The GOP must end its relationships with WWE and Kid Rock. Or shut up about the Dems and Hip-Hop. You can't be a family-values, moralizing pot. . . when you're as black as the kettle. Posted by Debbie on April 26, 2007 11:49 AM to Debbie Schlussel

If the WWE has bought your shit, you can't go and call your shit that, they do have legal right to sue you. If you open a promotion called WCW they can sue you for making money off something they own.

WORLD WRESTLING ENTERTAINMENT FILES LAWSUIT AGAINST DALE GAGNER'S AWA FOR TRADEMARK INFRINGEMENT AND CLAIMING TO BE THE ORIGINAL AWA PROMOTION by Mike Johnson @ 2:53:00 PM on 4/26/2007 World Wrestling Entertainment filed a trademark infringement lawsuit on 4/25 in the United States District Court of Minnesota against Dale R. Gagner for using thetrademarks and copyrights of the American Wrestling Association (AWA), which WWE acquired from Verne Gagne in 2003 along with Gagne's AWA video library. The 17 page complaint by WWE alleges, among other charges, that Gagner's "AWA Wrestling Entertainment" misrepresents itself as the successor to Verne Gagne's promotion, which shut down operations in 1990. The complaint singles out Gagner, listed as the owner of "AWA Wrestling Entertainment" as a "serial offender", noting that in April 1990, The Minneapolis Boxing & Wrestling Club (which then owned the AWA trademarks) filed a similar claim against Gagner. The courts ruled against Gagner in June 1990, enjoining he and his company from creating any claims that represented him as part of the original AWA promotion. WWE also alleges that Gagner has gone as far as to change the spelling of his name professionally to "Gagne" in an attempt to play off Verne Gagne's name when there is no relation between the two. WWE's complaint delves into the history of both WWE and the original American Wrestling Association, noting that Verne Gagne promoted the AWA until 1990, when he shut down the company. WWE noted that they acquired the library, copyright, and trademarks in January 2003 when they purchased them from Gagne, who was later inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame. WWE's subsidiary "WWE Libraries, Inc" is now the exclusive owner of the AWA and has the exclusive rights to use its letters, name, and properties. WWE noted that they have spent time and effort into reviving the AWA brand, most notably with their recent AWA DVD, while Gagner's company is "cybersquatting" with their websites www.AWAStars.com and www.myspace.com/AWAStars. Gagner's website features images of Verne Gagne, The Vachons, Nick Bockwinkel, The Crusher, and The Bruiser, and the tag line "Since 1959, the Major League of Professional Wrestling." The company's title lineage dates back to Pat O'Connor and Verne Gagne in the 1950s as well. The website features a number of upcoming dates from independent promotions around the country, which are using the AWA letters and logo, having paid an "entrance fee" to join the promotion. WWE also alleges that despite not having rights to the AWA name and trademark, Gagner is, "selling merchandise, including hats and t-shirts, featuring the AWA marks; promoting wrestling activities, performances, and events using the AWA marks; presenting information relating to the historical AWA wrestling promotion; and displaying images on its website of wrestlers formerly associated with the AWA promotion." WWE alleges that Gagner's "clear intent" is to "misrepresent that the Defendants are the successors to and/or affiliated with the AWA wrestling promotion. At no time have Defendants, individually or collectively, been affiliated with WWE or the AWA wrestling promotion." WWE claims that by Gagner's use of the AWA trademark and letters, the company has been "irreparably harmed." noting the company "has lost its exclusive right and ability to control and/or determine the manner, appearance, timing, location, content and image of the AWA Marks, in which WWE has invested considerable resources to acquire, develop, and promote" while noting that Gagner's company has "unlawfully and unjustly" been able to benefit from properties that World Wrestling Entertainment legally owns. WWE is seeking a permanent injunction against Gagner to prevent him and his company from using the AWA trademarks and initials in the future, an injunction preventing him from doing so in a similar manner in the future, an injunction shutting down Gagner's websites followed by the domains being transferred to WWE's ownership, financial damages and World Wrestling Entertainment's legal costs. There is expected to be some local media coverage of the lawsuit in the State of Minnesota in the next 24 hours

The thing I wonder, is how he'll react when he's asked to? From all accounts, Cena is a humble guy and hasn't let the bid'ness go to his head. With that being said, going on well over 2 years without jobbing clean, how wouldn't you start to develop an ego? His days as champion have to be approaching the Triple H reign of terror type area at this point. I was on a WWE hiatus I believeFo r the beginings...so Please...Explain this entire Reign of Terror...... I believe it was between 2002-2005, Triple H was champion for something like 650 days. It was when he was having fueds with new guys they kept signing like Nash and Steiner.....and old stand by HBK. ahh yes....Was this when Bischoff gave him the World Heavyweight Title...was it even worse then him Retaining at WrestleMania 2000 Yep it's that time frame.........Cena has to be getting to that level of days as champ in a time span.

Cam Cameron and Trent Green have a relationship that dates back some 15 years to when Green was in college.....Cameron is installing the offense Green has run for his entire career. Also he hasn't really said it but he thinks Culpepper is to stupid to run his offense, because "he's a chuck and play on the fly type". Also the HOF convo is moot because fuckin Derrick Thomas can't even get in...

Rhino wouldn't have gotten fired for it but........it happened at a really nice hotel during Wrestlemania weekend and the real kicker was, he did it on front of a ton of people including some higher ups....... He was getting divorced and his wife told him she was moving to Germany and taking their kid. Ok now I can see being upset but in public you do have to control yourself. If Orton trashed the lobby of the hotel in front of high ranking WWE employees on the business side he'd probably get fired too.

They aren't going to release Orton, they'll punish him but it won't be by firing him.

TNA Impact Spoilers (First Hour Spoilers now up)
Mecca replied to Hunter's Torn Quad's topic in TNA Wrestling
There's nothing like taking a beat down that required something like 60 stitches that will likely lead to um well nothing for him or something stupid. -
Apparently, this is what happened last night. At 7PM ET, all Deep South talent reported to the building and were addressed by Mike Bucci (Simon Dean) and John Laurinaitis. The talent was informed that the WWE office was not pleased with the DSW product, and that DSW was hereby closed for good. DSW talent had to assist with the removal of all WWE property from the building. Jody Hamilton allegedly had a verbal exchange with Laurinaitis, and the DSW talent were then told not to step foot in the building again, or they would be immediately fired. It appears talent will be relocated to Ohio Valley Wrestling or Tampa, FL, the home of the new Florida Championship Wrestling. Right now, nobody has any clue where they are headed or when they are headed there. Afterwards, Laurinaitis and Bucci supposedly took the talent out to Hooters for drinks. Former DSW talent Kenny Omega commented on WWE's decision to sever ties with Deep South, "The rumours had always been there. For over two years there was suspicion of DSW shutting down. The system certainly had its flaws but the wrestlers were the ones least at fault. It would be an injustice for those who've endured years of physical/mental punishment to have it stripped away. The athletes there were hard workers and among the toughest I've seen in wrestling." From GERWECK.NET

TNA highly professional........

There's some talk of them using Afa's promotion as a developmental place so if that's true this isn't shocking at all............ They also can't ship all those guys to OVW that would give a developmental fed a Raw sized roster. Some of them may be released but there's alot of people in DSW I would be shocked if they released Angel Williams, Krissy Vaine, Shantelle Taylor, Ryan O'Reilly any of those would shock me....... If the Afa stuff is true most of them will just get shipped there, if not you'll see some callups, some firings some moves to OVW a big mix, there will probably be some callups anyway.
-
He must have pissed off Dixie or Jeff that's really all you could do to get suspended in TNA.
-
I wouldn't be surprised........ I've already heard the morons blame video games, why can't people just be crazy anymore? Not everyone goes nuts cause they did something, I don't think Charles Manson is nuts cause he played video games and watched wrestling.
-
Spoke up about the shitty booking? Please change the record. It was probably a drugs thing. Was he at the impact tapings? EDIT: i just checked, he didnt have a match, so it was probably for missing the tapings. TNA suspend someone for drugs? This isn't the WWE here TNA has no policy and doesn't suspend people for that.
-
The Hell? I thought Survivor Series was in Montreal this year? They ended up moving it.

Those other OVW guys wish they had learned to speak Italian now.
