OAO Against All Odds PPV Thread

LAX would work better if they didn't have that oaf Hernandez part of it. Wait...what happened? If I remember correctly when they started...they were on fire. (Including Hernandez.) Although I guess fighting AJ Styles and Christopher Daniels helps.. But, other then that, what's changed? Oh no, I was never one of those people who found LAX entertaining. I like Homicide, but that's the extent of my interest in LAX. I don't like Konnan (though I understand why he is there) nor Hernandez. I wouldn't like Shocker or Machete or Apolo joining either. Don't worry the WWE wants to sign Shocker.

All TNA has made me think is Alex Shelley needs to be in the WWE, he'd basically be perfect for what they do.
  3. Speaking of CM Punk.........here's his high school yearbook photo...... I bet he got all the tail back then too........I could imagine the people he went to high school with realizing who he is and who he's banged and being like "no fucking way"
  4. Here's a little bit more on the RVD thing..... source: Wrestling Observer Newsletter In regards to Rob Van Dam's contract status, if he didn't give in his notice by the end of last week, his contract would have automatically rolled over. This doesn't mean he's leaving, but it gives him the option to leave in the summer, and they'd have to renegotiate a new deal to keep him. Van Dam's downside guarantee is about $250,000. He probably actually makes about $500,000 if you include merchandise, pay-per-view payoffs and such. Although, he worked all those low drawing ECW house shows, and thus he got a lot of $500 to $750 payoffs while on top, so that may be a high estimate. The ECW guys are now working the higher grossing SmackDown shows, so his payoffs should be back up to speed again anyways. Also, RVD has a standing offer to go to All Japan. Although, it doesn't seem to mean nearly as much as when he was a regular there earlier in his career because they run very few dates. But between All Japan, TNA, U.S. and Europeam indies, he should still be able to make a lot with far more time off, not to mention control of his schedule. That's why there is a good possibility that he could be leaving WWE in the summer. He'll probably be able to get about $2,500 or more per date on the indie scene, along with hotel & airfare expenses paid, at least at first. But once six months to a year have passed, it may be harder for him to get as many bookings at that rate. There is talk within WWE of trying to get its "last word" in. Figuring he's leaving, Johnny Ace may make an offer that he'll probably turn down so that he can get the last word in, not to mention as a receipt for him embarrassing at a recent company meeting (RVD made a smart alec remarks towards Ace). People within WWE say that RVD has been telling people that he plans on leaving, but other people think he'll make his decision based on WWE's money offer.

    The Real Maxx Payne Documentary

I'd like to see it released because you know the person who'd be most pissed is Shawn Michaels......I'm sure it has him doing some rather unsavory things on it.
  10. I also read that they're going after Mistico too.I read about in the magazine, and saw a match of his online. He's pretty freaking good...too bad Mysterio 'left town'; if he were to come back and find 3 or 4 new luchadors, that'd make for some great wrestling. Mysterio is going to be on Smackdown in 2 weeks.....

    A serious question about TNA

The first time you see it sure.....but then when he started doing it every show......you realize how contrived it looks.

    A serious question about TNA

At putting together a 5-7 minute TV match he isn't very good at that....and it's his finisher that riles people up. I hate it because it is just really really contrived looking. When your opponent legit has to back flip as you just kinda hold on for your finisher to work........ If you ever see "smarks" going insane on Williams it's his finisher, tons of people legit hate it.
  13. Well he doesn't wear a mask, hasn't been a mexican regular in awhile.....and doesn't speak english very well.
  14. Something for the Lucha fans...... Credit: PWInsider.com Mexican regulars Shocker, Perro Aguayo Jr., and Mistico are three of the names that WWE is trying to secure deals with. It's being said that Dusty Rhodes has pushed for Shocker, whom he worked with in TNA. Another plus for Shocker is that he is from California, and can speak English. The Smackdown audience is heavily Hispanic.

    More greatness from Lance Storm

Well i got the impression he was refering to thursdays show, which is what made him write the peice. Looked more like a response piece to me because I'm sure he got tons of emails to it from Russo/TNA fans that were saying things like "oh you think you could do better huh?"

    OAO 2/8 Impact Thread

I beg to differ......TNA is pretty annoying in and of itself for the 42 angles that go in a 5 minute span but then it gets even more annoying when you add in Tenay and West.

    More greatness from Lance Storm

That really has nothing to do with watching the show after his last report.......he's just talking about how to book the show something you could easily derive from watching a TNA show 6 weeks ago.

    OAO 2/8 Impact Thread

Ive asked this before, theres no real answer for why we watch TNA when its been sucking quite a bit lately. Now, i didnt watch WCW at all, was quite difficult in the UK when you dont have Sky TV. But id imagine i would have tuned in each week just to see how bad the show sucks. I get tempted to do it each week when Raw is on, but i stop myself most times. I also did the same thing with ECW v2 untill i decided to boycott it (which, FYI i've stuck to, unlike Lance...) Why do i tune into Impact each week? Its the only show where i can see Christian, Angle, Joe, Sting, Shelley, Nash, Sabin, Rhino, Austin Aries, AJ Styles, Daniels etc on TV. I thought Raw was sucking then I watched Impact......I stopped complaining about Raw.
  19. I'd be willing to bet slamming Khali is more difficult than Big SHow. Big Show's heaver but he's proportioned better and is actually flexible enough to help you slam him. Khali isn't flexible at all and is top heavy.....

People also don't enjoy that USC has sustained being good so they think they must be cheating and look into all sorts of irrevelent shit. Honestly most schools break some of these rules because there's so many inane ones.

    OAO 2/8 Impact Thread

I wanna know what that guys feelings are on the Main Event & Vince Russo. Holy crap I just sat and read some of that forum.......those people shouldn't be allowed to take up our oxygen. The best are the people that actually think Lance Storm is a moron or the ones that say "longer matches are boring".

So you are obviously a fan of a show that features no wrestling is what you are telling us.

Because we know where this story ends with Russo.....he thinks it's 1998, he refuses to change.
