I love Vinces reaction as the three count is being made. Where did this match take place? When the Bulldogs are entering the ring it looks like they are in a dome.

Wow....what an amazing post that was.....makes me want to type up a long, 3000 word......Warrior like......response....... Good god.

I have a really strange feeling Mike Tyson will be inducted within the next 3 years or so. Steamboat AND Savage should be inducted next year, due to their classic WM III match IN DETROIT. Won't happen, but hey, one can dream. Mr. T. deserves it as well, regardless of any bad heat with Vince. So does Lawrence Taylor. Both of them did pretty well for being "celebrities". Cyndi Lauper? Is Captain Lou Albano in yet? I'm sure Vince has wanted to induct Donald Trump, but I'm sure The Donald just laughed it off. But, overall, one celebrity who should be inducted: BOB FUCKING UECKER. He is easily the best celebrity they ever hired for WrestleMania, or any event. Perhaps I'm in the minority here, but I always thought he did a terrific job.

I didn't care if either one of them went over, and that was part of the reason I didn't order the PPV. I didn't care. However, from a booking standpoint, they really need to get the title off of Cena, or turn him heel. Or at least acknowledge that everyone hates him. Having J.R. try to explain it and still keeping him as a face is embarrasing.

Whu???? Grisham asked Shawn about Bret being in the HOF. Shawn said it was about time and he was happy for Bret and his family, he deserved it, and he's glad that Bret "Is Okay and has peace in his heart". Of course, he didn't apologize for Montreal, so all that is meaningless.
-
Shawn puts over Bret on the postgame. Let the bitching begin.

Cena? Won? You've got to be fucking kidding me.

Thank GOD I didn't waste 50 bucks on this shit.

The OAO '2006 Hall of Fame ceremony' thread.

Man, I can't believe Shawn ran up there and superkicked Bret. And I REALLY can't believe Benoit put him in the crossface while Vince pissed all over his HOF plaque. Amazing. I am SO ordering WrestleMania tomorrow. Wait a minute......is it April 2nd yet? -

Austin/Hogan should be at SummerSlam, not WrestleMania. I'm sick and tired of everyone wanting these "dream matches" between two washed up 40-60 year olds. And knowing how Vince likes to hurry things up when they are hot (see Hogan's face turn in 2002), we'll probably see Austin-Hogan sometime THIS year. -

So they could have the "Complete 4 hour ceremony with never before seen footage" on DVD. And Gene being on the actual broadcast was more for Hogan than anything else. -

That BETTER be on the damn DVD. -

Looks like the "Hogan-Austin" chant won't make it to TV. -
A major April Fool's gag involving Bret Hart to go down?
JimmyHendricks replied to a topic in The WWE Folder
No way. Most of the roster has too much respect for Bret to put up with Vince (or anyone else) pulling any shit. -

It's NOT Linda. It looks like her, but Linda's nose and eyes are much bigger than the woman with Ted's. Plus, you would figure that Vince would have brought this up at one point or another, especially in 2001 when he "sedated" her and was running around with Trish. I am really looking forward to the HOF this year, but I think it will be disapointing. I can see Bret giving a very nice, humble speech, and everyone will be pissed that he didn't tease a WM appearance or something. One thing about Bret: He has always been adamant about not working with the WWE again, and he hasn't, save for the DVD and this HOF appearance, which I think he is doing to preserve his legacy so they won't try to bury him in the future. Not that they won't, but I think he doesn't want Montreal to be his final WWE appearance. I see it being a very dignified, happy ceremony, much like last year's. Bret's pop is going to be one of the biggest things ever heard. I wouldn't be surprised at all if Rey uses Eddie's induction to talk about how he'll win the title at WM "for him". Ugh. Hogan will easily overshadow Gene, especially if he says the "Well ya know somethin Mean Gene" line. All in all, I will be watching, but not expecting anything special. -
Now that was just plain AWESOME! Of course, Vince would bury him, since he was created by Ted Turner. I loved the WrestleMania video. I just wish they would have included the "Hacksaw Jim Duggan B-B-B-Beats people up!" part. I always thought that little "Look at the belt then sling it over my shoulder" move that Bret does near the end was a sad attempt at doing something hip. Ah, the memories.

Wow, they really have a hard on for Coach, huh?
-
Well, Vince has neutered him since he started. I actually prefer J.R. over the current, WWE Joey Styles. It's a shame because he could really be something refreshing to the product, and he's been turned into Generic Pro Wrestling Commentator #4534.

---I think this is a big reason SNME did so poorly--or at least didn't pick up very many new viewers. It wasn't anything more than an episode of RAW with Smackdown wrestlers on it. I truly feel that pro wrestling is doing poorly because everyone is so overexposed on TV. Why tune into SNME when you can see HHH and Cena on RAW every week? It just goes to show that only the hardcores are watching now. And the ratings won't go up unless they do something original and shocking. HHH: Twelve time World Champion isn't the answer, of course. ---This is the biggest reason I hate HHH so much. He is a heel, yet he is the exact opposite of what a heel should be. A heel should be a chickenshit who only wins because they cheat, dupe, or screw over the competition. Jericho was a great heel champion (until Steph came into the picture). So was Austin. Corporate Rock kicked ass. HHH goes out there, tells everyone (and his opponent) what he's going to do, and does EXACTLY that. He told Cena that he isn't a good wrestler, and that he will win at WM. King of Kings, blah blah blah. And you know what? That is exactly what will happen. He won't win with tons of interference from the outside. He won't win on a fluke. He will pedigree Cena and pin him cleanly in the middle of the ring just like he did with Booker T at WM XIX. That is not what a heel does--and that's why HHH enjoys being a "Cool Heel"--because he can get away with shit like this, and when the crowd doesn't overwhelmingly hate him, he can say it's because he's a great character. No, Paul. It's because you constantly kick everyone's ass. It's hard to hate a winner, especially someone who does it convincingly all of the time.

The Million Dollar Man could have been an over the top, goofy gimmick, but Ted pulled it off PERFECTLY. Hell, he could come back tomorrow and be insanely over. I remember that vignette from an old Coliseum video. He had the most evil laugh I've ever heard. I thought it was funny how he wore his wrestling outfit to go shopping. I wonder if he was wearing the "half" shirt. I loved that promo piper did on him in 91 where he gave him a FULL shirt to wear.

What are you talking about?? Number FIFTY?? Everyone knows that is the greatest moment EVER in the history of the WWF. Didn't you watch the RAW Tenth Anniversary Special? All kidding aside, that was pretty good. I enjoyed the zamboini incident better, though.

What was the biggest crowd pop EVER?
JimmyHendricks replied to JimmyHendricks's topic in General Wrestling
He pedigreed Vince that night. Steph didn't get it until Wrestlemania. Still was a huge pop, though. My favorite part was when the minister asked HHH to say his vows, and the crowd just exploded because they knew he was going to let Steph have it. -
Who wants a phone call from.............
JimmyHendricks replied to swan's topic in General Wrestling
So what's the difference from a "phone appearance" and a "live call"? Lou Ferrigno? Awesome. Lazer from "American Gladiators"? MORE Awesome. I actually might have Tony Todd call my friend on his birthday. He's a huge fan of "The Crow". -
Well, I don't think the WWE is to blame, as they promoted the shit out of it, like they do every PPV. I didn't see ONE commercial on NBC, ever. Of course, I don't really watch NBC, except for Leno and Conan, so perhaps I missed a SNME promo during "Passions" or something.
