Same thing's happening to me, I send apologies if I multi-post this as a result.

Jericho goes over at No Mercy; WM X shows it's luckier to walk under the ladder (Razor Ramon) than it is to walk around it (...Shawn Michaels)

From somebody who's actually seen them play this year: Is Houston better than their 0-3 record? Wasn't this supposed to be the breakthrough year for them to pass .500 and have a winning season?

The comments in question on the whole, for anyone interested: http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/sport...icle1723920.ece In brief:

Whoever's setting them is being sure to hit Update at the end, right? 1 run for 0.5 yards...ouch.
-
The only other starting options, IIRC, would be Knight and "Maybe I dominate, maybe I suck" Niese. Or they could just throw the season and start Heilman, maybe this time it'll work.

Madden, NFL Head Coach, and NCAA Football 2009

Felt kinda slow to me too, until I got a WR screen to Smith and he smoked the Chiefs defense. That was the first & only time it felt not slow to me, was in a dead sprint, everything else felt...realistic, I guess, you can't just barrel-ass at top speed for any length of time unless you happen to break one and breaking one is a bitch. -
At least I won't feel bad fighting a 99 OVR online anymore, as I know at least once that jerk had to play the shit out of Career mode getting disqualified in every non-Extreme-rules match to slowly get his Hardcore stat up.

I believe they hinted at it about the same time as they were teasing the Cade/Murdoch split, but to my knowledge they never got the official break segment as the draft split them. -
We need a human kicker.

Just checking to see if you had what I have, because I didn't have a freeze so much as a "Disc unreadable" error that would pop up whenever I tried to load...anything. I'm already on my second Madden CE, for god's sake, I'll probably bitch to EA for a third one while my 360's on its way to Houston for the end-of-warranty "Give me anything you'll give me while it's still under warranty" repair job. -

Define "freezing up"; like, 360 blade pops in telling you there's an issue or it just jams and sits there until you restart? -
Honest Abe pulled out a decent performance against a weaker team. We'll see how it goes when the games start counting in a day or two.

1. I'm setting the over/under on sacks at 4 in the Bengals/Giants game. Pick one. I'll go under at 3, just for the sake of argument. Maybe the Bengals give up early and just run the ball a lot. 2. Can Houston capitalize on Kerry Collins being a stationary suckass and tee off? Yes they are going to sack him, but the Titans don't need a sack-free performance to beat the distracted Texans. 3. Can Miami generate enough pass rush to shake Cassel, and continue their history of playing New England tough when totally outgunned? They'll get a pass rush but it won't shake him. If coming off the bench to replace a former MVP didn't rattle him I somehow doubt anything the Dolphins can muster will do the trick. 4. Will Tampa and Chicago combined score more points than either New Orleans or Denver? I doubt it. Denver's been putting up points in droves lately, I can't remember how New Orleans has done. I think Denver's got one more shootout in them for the early part of the season. 5. Is Minnesota being hot shit going to be the worst fucking preseason pick in the world, facing a must-win against a good Carolina team? Indeed it will. Carolina held Forte and Tomlinson under 100, and while I'm not going to outright predict they do the same to Peterson I will say that if they can pull off a win in San Diego against Rivers & Tomlinson without Steve Smith, then they can beat a weaker defensive team led by Peterson and...."Gunslingin" Gus Frerotte with Smith back in the lineup.

An excellent episode, I thought. House/Wilson (this episode plus a touch of the preview for next week, consider yourself pre-spoiler warned):

$3.75 yesterday morning, $3.85 last night when I went to fill up. Bastards.

ESPN reports that Ned Yost just got canned, but that makes absolutely no sense at all.
-
The last time they had a clean main event finish was to have a Muscle Buster lead to a pinfall to end a "MMA style" match? That's depressing.
-
10% Colts > however much of the Vikings showed up. AP showed up, so that'd be like 80% or something. Carolina, according to Yahoo GameTracker, holds on for a 20-17 win over Chicago. But then again they choose McKie's 3 carries, 7 yards & 1 TD over Forte's 23 carries for 92 with no TDs for the Bears POTG.
-
Just wait until Smith's back from suspension. Then they'll go crazy.
-
They get a bye week, it's just Week 2. About as useful as the Browns always having the 17th week off back when they joined the league.

You beat me to it by about...seven minutes. -
I consider losing a national championship opportunity due to WVU losing to USF, then USF losing to Rutgers, as well as WVU losing to Pitt last year, far worse than USF losing to Kansas and WVU losing to ECU and whatever other losses you'd consider significant. Get the "We have no shot at a national title and the whole conference isn't worth watching" out there early, don't wait until Thanksgiving to ruin my hopes.
-
The entirety of post-Miami/BC/VaTech Big East history has been an embarrassment, where've you been? Every team that gets good gets humiliated by the next "up-and-coming Big East sleeper team" who promptly slinks back to mediocrity once they've ruined the conference's hopes of stealing a national title.
-
He should buy them all and then give them to charity or Goodwill or something, just so Reebok & Goodell look like douches. Hell, they give away all the shirts & hats for the losing conference champion/Super Bowl games, they're over in Africa somewhere, what's the fucking difference? "19-0" shirt good enough for some starving African kid but "C. Johnson"'s going to break the bank?
