I didn't really give a shit about any of them but the last one (am I the only one getting sick of Beth getting fluke pinned all the time? Either she's dominant or she's not, pick a side!) and that technically wasn't sanctioned. WWE needs a heel announcer. So many things can be easily explained (and enhanced!) if you don't have two incompetent faces trying to sell fans the exact same story simultaneously. What I wouldn't give for somebody like Ventura to pull out a "What do you expect, Lawler, it's unsanctioned! He knew what he was getting himself into! What, you want to sanction the unsanctioned match? You know better than a McMahon, Lawler, huh?" after Legacy's appearance, or a "She was badmouthing him! I read her lips!" after the RKO.

To be fair, a) a lot of the guys in question aren't going to have 20+ years on top like the old timers did, and b) unlike the old timers, their title reigns are seen nationwide on a weekly basis, not seen city-to-city on a yearly basis where fast title changes can mean 3/4 of the country doesn't even realize the "former" champion was ever the champion at all.

Edge can win or lose any match he's in, in any manner whatsoever. Cena only loses when it's easily predicted that he'll do so, and it always takes a superhuman/group effort to get the job done.

If ECW can just give Matt Hardy to Smackdown, methinks Smackdown can just give HHH, WWE title and all, to Raw. Especially since, y'know, Vince's daughter runs that show.

Whoa... I'm amazed that guys (Travis Pastrana...) don't suffer more major injuries. Often you hear of a broken wrist or a mangled leg, etc. but never that a guy is in a coma or had a fractured skull upon landing. Brutal, brutal landing. I'm honestly surprised he lived as long as he did.

Is it just me, or does Teddy Long seem grossly incapable of communicating with his superstars? I mean, he signs Christian and books him against his brand's champion, and the champion doesn't find out about this until 30 minutes before the match? Unless they pull out a "Christian's contract was offered up in exchange for Matt Hardy because Vickie thought Teddy had no shot of convincing Christian to honor that contract, thereby giving her Matt Hardy for free" I'm going to be very continuity-disappointed.

I like how you argue a team doesn't need to improve their corner outfield play with Manny freakin' Ramirez while simultaneously citing that their "best hitter" was a Nationals castoff who a) spent half the season on the DL with a concussion and b) had the lowest OPS of his career in 2008. Maybe they steal a page from the Red Sox and deal Manny at the deadline for a swath of prospects to a fringe playoff team.

TEW isn't worth paying for, honestly. It's gone so far into "we have the most depth" that nobody wants to bother making any data for it because it takes a week to get one wrestler sort of right. By contrast, EWR still has several different monthly roster updates, along with a massive stockpile of other scenarios (including two NWA Dominations, which I find to be the best of the bunch).

They have to cut it like that, or else that hair wouldn't reach for the ponytail. It would come loose during a match and look like shit (not to mention be distracting as fuck).

I don't particularly like what he's done with the team, I don't like that he plastered his own name on the stadium instead of selling naming rights to make money and then cried poor, I don't like how he's basically admitted the team's moving as soon after he dies as possible thanks to virtually no contingency plan, but I'm still glad Wilson got in before he died. That's the only reason he got in this year over some of the other candidates, they didn't think he'd make it to 2010. Hell I'm sure a lot of them don't think he'll make it to the induction in August.

As long as the only non-Versus televised games are Stanley Cup Finals matches and the yearly Outdoor Classic, then yes, it's going to be/stay a niche sport.
