Religious Tolerance & Religious Moderation Are a Joke
Mike wanna be replied to Big Ol' Smitty's topic in Current Events
The important part bolded. Whether free will exists isn't really the argument. The point is, if God knows all, does he not know who will be good and evil ahead of time? And if so, why does he not just eliminate those who are evil and be done with it? One answer would be that you really can't have good without evil to counterbalance it, or else you end up with everybody stuck outside the Piggly Wiggly saying "No no no, you go first!". My question is this: Can one not argue that due to the necessity of evil to have good exist, isn't it possible that everyone, good and bad, is in God's divine plan and thus worthy of Heaven regardless? -

New Hollywood Blondes, right there. Kenny even did the Stunning Steve rolling camera taunt on RAW. -
Holy shit, I know those girls.

Little Boogeyman got Bundy'd.

I can watch Punk/Striker matches all day.

Did they ditch Cowlishaw entirely? Because I haven't heard Reali utter "Cowlishaw's eliminated, so let's talk hockey" in a week or two.

Fortunately Niedermeyer didn't get hit in the face with that slap shot. On that note, players at the NHL level should really look into wearing the full-face cages like they do in college. I'm sort of surprised they haven't already mandated it, especially considering how many times they've tried to crack down on fighting. What would cut down on fights more than a big metal cage between your fist and his face?

Religious Tolerance & Religious Moderation Are a Joke

You're misunderstanding the meaning. The intent of the passage is NOT to say that all nonbelievers deserve to be punished with violence. The meaning is "they will get theirs from God." When God came to Lot, the one remaining believer in Sodom, his message was not "kill as many people as possible," it was "get out of here so I can deal with them justly." And that's what happened. Have you READ the Bible? Just curious. I'm sure God gave them a stern talking-to once Job was out of the way. That's why he had to leave so God could "deal with them", because Job gets offended when God drops the F-bomb. -

So now that the race isn't about to die off, it's ok to ignore God's word and queer it up? (As for the statement itself, I admit to being slightly confused; does it mean you should kill someone who's gay, or that "gay sex kills" in a propaganda-like attempt to keep them from doing it?) In any case, if it's all the word of God, I don't understand how you or anybody else can just pick and choose which passages are acceptable to follow in the here and now and which ones "need modifying due to contextual changes". -
Prediction: Someone has to join the Kiss My Ass club, but a last-second draft pick to RAW (smart money's on Lashley) interferes and breaks it up.

Read the bible, it's in there. Most people are smart enough to realize it's not to be taken literally, but it's there. Again, we're taking a work that's several thousand years old and using it in today's world. It's a different time and different circumstances. I'm sure you oculd find elements of the Magna Carta that are outdated as well. Does that mean it should be disregarded? Of course not. But it should be adapted to fit in with today's society, because it can still serve as a valuable tool today. Now, when I go to church, my preacher doesn't talk about burning down houses and killing unbelievers. Instead, I hear about the "brotherhood of man", tolerance, and understanding. That's about as far from violence as you can get. And yet people take a passage declaring God commands them to take up the sword against invaders written when the Israelites were fighting for their very lives and decry the whole Bible as "violent". That just seems close minded. So basically what you're saying is that society knows better than God does, and you can just screw with what he said 2000+ years ago to make it work for whatever agenda your particular sector of the religion wants to go after. And while I'm on the topic of screwing with God's word, let's have us a look-see at the Crusades. I'm not even talking about the Bible, I'm taking two things and putting them together: Thou shalt not kill, and "Hey, Muslims took the holy land, let's get them!" Where in these Ten Commandments does it say "Thou shalt kicketh the ass of those who taketh thine Holy Land"? Where's the escape clause of Thou shalt not kill? Hell, technically they aren't supposed to covet the things their neighbors have; isn't that about as close to God saying "Let the Muslims have the holy land" as you can get? -
Who else wants to see C&M keep trying to be faces, claiming that the Hardys didn't show them the respect they were showed when they were victorious?

Again, I ask. How is Carlito the heel here? Who hasn't wanted to back-crack a ex? you are kidding right? i mean you do realize that being critical of sentence structure on a message board is a sure sign you really have nothing intelligant to say, or you are just an ass. i guess you failed to realize though that i just dont capitalize my sentences on a message board, there are periods. i never have and never will just to satisfy dorks on a message board who try to make themselves feel important by pointing out trivial nonsense. And yet here you are, pointing out your proper period usage as if that's not trivial nonsense. Let's see Air Murdoch one more time, come on Trevor!

McMahon face turn via cancer, or Vince def. Cancer at Vengeance via no-show? -
My guess is that this is a filler Raw; nothing of note happens because they don't want to make it obvious who's staying & who's going based on what happens tonight. I expect a bunch of nervous "Bah gawd keeng whozza gon get drafted to the smackadown? And that there, uh, E see dubya? Where dey gon go King? We gon get drafted too?" filler.

Problem was, Batista couldn't see Edge...so he was clearly waiting for the cue to know Edge had landed. Which would have been fine, if this wasn't the second time in a month he blew the cage timing spot. They should've known that coming in, or at least had something believable hold him up (the cage door not opening all the way or something) rather than just stalling for time.
-
They've been really bad at timing double cage escapes. You'd think they would have learned after the last time...no you wouldn't, nobody's gullible enough to think that.

If the midcard wasn't so murky, Kenny could have a solid spot. It's the whole "We have no clue where we're going, so we're going to stick random people in tag teams, and have somewhat random matches every week" syndrome that's fucking it up, not the fact that he was in the Squad. There's no "This guy wrestles this guy because of this", there's just "Here comes somebody...oh and here's someone else, and there they go!". -

If Umaga wearing Edge's kickpads wasn't bad enough: -
I like how while he was only stuck wearing Murdoch's tights, he wore the vest anyway.
-
Not my Gamecube...my 360. If it was my GC I could just go pick up another one for <$50.

Don't you hate when you find a game and think "Why am I not playing this more often?", only to pop it in, get ~20 minutes in and have it give you a "Disc may be dirty or damaged" freeze error?
-
Was that anywhere near the "Another headlock Randy?" and "This one's 4 U Cena: BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO" signs?
-
Shane: You understand? Khali: *unintelligible, makes choppy-choppy motion* Umaga: *unintelligible, wields thumb menacingly* Shane: OK then.
