Well in the game Helms is a 78 with only 3 pitches with ratings that aren't very high. And Howard only has 2 years left on his contract. Youks is a 82 and Timlin is 83-85. Yes I know that would NEVER work in real life but it's a V-I-D-E-O G-A-M-E. It's fun. It took me a while to get the trade and I think both sides worked out. I can't help that the computer agreed to do it and I didn't force them to do anything. And I wasn't bragging about it, I was just stating a trade that I did. I really don't see why people are having such a hissy fit about this. "OMG, so unrealistic. I mean, that would NEVER happen." No shit, which is why they call it a video game. Besides, Howard has a horrible hitter's eye and isn't doing that well for me. And Helms gave up 5 runs in 2 innings after his no hitter.

I traded 1 great pitcher, 1 good pitcher and a decent 1st baseman for a good 1st baseman and an average pitcher. I'd say that's a fair trade. Besides, the force trade option is off so they wanted this trade. It took me a while just to get some interest because it was hurting their lineup.

We should let him back in for a week or something.

It was a good trade. Howard is only making 200K and Youks was making much more than that. And this is a video game, so when someone is a 92 and the other is an 82, I'm going to go with the 92.

HDMI looks better than component and like Marv said, HDMI does audio which is great. You upconverter isn't HDMI? And I wish I had two HDMI inputs because switching stuff is a pain in the ass sometimes. I have to get up and hit the switch on HDMI swithcer.

One thing I like about this game is how in the top right corner they have league news. And I saw that Ryan Howard was unhappy with the Phillies. Sooo I try and trade for him. I traded Clemens (who I signed, obviously and will probably retire at the end of the season) Timlin and Youks for Howard and Cole Hamels. The next game, Hamels pitches a perfect game. And my lineup is stacked. Lugo, Drew, Papi, Manny, Howard, Tek, Lowell, CoCo, and Biggio (who I traded Clement, Wakefield and someone else who I can't remember to the Stros for Biggio, Wheeler and someone else.) I also signed Bernie who was a Free Agent.

Ummmm, I just hit a ground rule double. Over the monster. And stealing is soooo much harder. You don't have the speed boost like in 2K6. So you just have to get a good lead and take off once the pitcher starts his wind up. I've been caught about 12 times now and I've played 9 games so far. I've also noticed that Wakefield sucks in this game. Yeah.

Yes this sucks about the PS3 backward compatibility, but the 360 can't play all of the Xbox games either. And everytime I played a Gamecube game on my Wii, it froze up on me. (which was probably due to the scratches, but I'm just saying). My PS3 hasn't had any problems playing PS2 games, so why should I care what's going on in Europe? I don't. Sucks for them, but mine works great (so far).

Good God, this game is awesome. One thing I love is that if the other pitcher gets on a roll, it's almost impossible to hit the ball. And since Clemens was a free agent, he is now a BoSox. And Dice-K isn't in the game. It's Dennis Miles. I don't think you can change the persons name, but I'd like to.

HD-DVD can do 1080p also. The 360 does it and Toshiba is coming out with a player that does 1080p soon. http://www.cepro.com/news/editorial/16826.html And some sat company will say they can do 1080p and it will look like shit.

I love that Forest won and all, but it wasn't a lead role. He was the supporting actor and the Scottish guy was the lead. This is the third time this has happened, Hopkins in Lambs and Kidman in the Hours.
