12 hours or so until Microsoft's E3 show. If the internet rumors are only half true, I'll be more then excited.
-
hahaha ok that made me laugh. Although not as much as the crowd chanting for Don West before their 1st monthly PPV.

OAO Raw Thread - July 9, 2007
Obi Chris Kenobi replied to OldSchoolWrestling's topic in The WWE Folder
Dusty Rhodes is the least over 'Legend' from what I remember from the Survivor Series match when they were being introduced, he got the smallest pop behind Sergeant Slaughter. -
Jeez, looking at the US prices being thrown around on this board makes me realise how overpriced this Piece of Shit3 really is in the UK. $500 seems to be about average, which converts to around £275. However, the RRP is £425, which would convert to around $800... seriously what the fuck.

Paul Gilbert's back Cat. Man I love Paul Gilbert. Racer X, Mr. Big and of course his solo albums. There's just something about him that makes him stand out from other technical guitarist - probably the sense of humor.

Comments that don't warrant a thread
Obi Chris Kenobi replied to {''({o..o})''}'s topic in Video Games
Anyone used RPG Maker 2000, 2003 or XP before? Downloaded a copy the other day and it seems pretty decent. Just wondering if anyones made any games with it, or knows of some good sites to check out. -
Thanks for posting the Konnan info from WOL. Gutted to see him go, but glad he asked Homicide and Hernandez to stay. The more and more reports that surface about TNA the more I start to get worried that its just going to implode on itself due to shitty booking, low moral and big wages to old stars... hang on, hasn't all this happened before?

Was awesome though, was like WCW had sex doggie style with ECW while they both watched WWF. Perhaps.
-
Haha things like that are awesome, I'm trying to get this new monster Apocolypse over.

I remember when the original Xbox came down by £100 after a few months in the UK, everyone who still had their receipt could phone up and claim a free controller and some games to the value for £100 to make up for it. That was decent.

Let's talk about John Cena.
Obi Chris Kenobi replied to Open the Muggy Gate's topic in The WWE Folder
I'd prefer to watch Cena with the title then Lashley with the title. However, I do think Lashley has something in him to be a smug/smarmy heel champion - even if he does have a soft voice. -
I was hoping to stretch out the disbanding of Seratonin a bit longer then 3 weeks, but WWE acted too quickly. Bentley and Kazarian will add alot back to the X-Division though. However NJPW want Low-Ki to tour with them, so I might lose him. And Christian Cage's contract is up soon and I'm not sure we're big enough for him to sign a new one with us.
-
Haha yeah, that was one of the first things I did - disband Seratonin. Not that I had a choice really, since WWE stole Raven from me However, good will come from it in the rebirth of the X-Division - Kazarian, Bentley and maybes Johnny Devine (probably going to do a 'I'm sick of this business' gimmick for him after all the crap gimmicks he's had - irony?) I've got Jericho on my shortlist so I know straight away when he's back. In my great wisdom I forgot to renew my TV deals - all except Bravo2... TNA TAKES OVER THE UK! Maybes.

WWE General Discussion for July 2007
Obi Chris Kenobi replied to Hunter's Torn Quad's topic in The WWE Folder
Hahaha ah a bit of comedy is nice now and then -
I'd say its been Total Non-Stop Drama more then action, but I see your point yeah. Too much action outside the ring rather then in it, watching the old shows only adds pain to this cause.

I can't decide what I find more annoying. WWE's 'invisible' camera soap opera approach to events backstage or TNA's Floating Microphone Latecia following people aimlessly around backstage as they shout, scream and look for people. Guess it's more 'legit', but she seems so gormless while its going on.

In fairness I think Adam Ryland deserves your monies!!!!!!! GIEF HIM YOUR MONIEZZZZZ KEK!!!111111 lolzzzorzzz Ok, maybes that last part wasn't needed. But he's made these games for almost 10 years now, or at least it feels like that, most of them were for free and now he's managed to make some money out of them, so good for him.

What would it take to make you interested in the WWE again
Obi Chris Kenobi replied to iggymcfly's topic in The WWE Folder
I'd be very interested to re-read this thread in a few years time to see what WWE have actually done and how it compares to what we want. I know we're the internet and we suck, but hey, fun is fun. Actually, I'd be very interested in seeing WWE in 5 years time, who will the Main Eventers be? Is this what WWE in 93 felt like? Was too young for the internet, and obviously the internet wasn't invented till 1998 anyway, so its not like there was an internet smark crowd crying about how stale the WWF was in 93, but was it anywhere near as this? I can't really remember since I was a kid at the time, and as a kid WWF seemed really good, all those colours and stuff. -
Not sure I've ever seen a working free crack for TEW yet, its some stupid online license thing.
-
I actually liked the Eric Young contract storyline, I think it could have had more potential, but overall I think its added to Eric Young and Robert Roode, definatly moved them away from 'Those guys from Team Canada'. Ok, Abyss storyline has sucked, think everyone agrees on that one, which is why they've dropped it and never mentioned it again. The future storyline of Monster v Monster has potential. Angle is better now then he was when he first appeared in TNA and had no direction and was being a Tweener and not pulling it off at all. Only thing that annoys me is the total lack of direction of the X-Division and TNA losing what made them TNA.
-
I enjoyed the Taker match, didn't actually know who was going to win, which made it fun. But other then that, I can't even put a finger on any other matches on the card... MitB and HBK/Cena are the only other two I can remember.

Obi Chris Kenobi replied to iggymcfly's topic in The WWE Folder
They need to get away from the rinse and repeat formula. I don't blame them for rehasing storylines and ideas from 10 years ago, as I guess the average WWE fan is too young to remember them clearly at a guess. However, when they repeat a cycle throughout the year it just gets boring. Also the build up Monsters and Heels only to quickly destroy and forget about them once they've been fed to Cena is annoying. If reports that Ken Kennedy has moved to Raw only to job to HHH are true, then you can add that to list. -

Seriously. That game knows how to put me in a rotten mood. I take it far too seriously, however I've recently managed to gain promotion to the Scottish 2nd Division with Montrose in my first season. I don't support them, I started off unemployed in what I call a 'Legacy' game to see how far I can get from nothing.
