Decided to start a TNA game. Think I'll keep to the style of the internet reports to keep the updates going. WWE released alot of workers, like they always do at the start of the game. They went on to offer contracts to Raven, Shelly, Simon Diamond and Rhino, as well as Ricky Banderas (there goes Mitchell's 'Monster' #1). All of which signed, so expect them to do a job at the up coming PPV - which was a week sooner then I had expectd so booking plans went to shit... but hey its TNA no one will notice. Simon Diamond lasted 1 day in WWE before they released him. Odd, how real this game is some respects. Chris Sabin was injured in his match against Jerry Lynn and Senshi with a burst appendix.

What would it take to make you interested in the WWE again

Some new faces might get my interesting. I know myself and half of the internet are waiting for the Magical formation of the 'New Hart Foundation'... but that'll never happen. -

Thing is they could pass it off as they were used in the healing process. They being steroids. -
Haha, sounds like real TNA, almost. All the talk of playing a TNA game has made me start one up. I'll let you know how it goes.

That's because they attack you from angles that the D-Pad can't attack at lol -

Now you mention it, people still get problems with Blue Disks on their PS2s (old or slim line). -

Did it really work for Nitro? Maybes in the early runs where they used the extra hour on the cruiserweights, but from what I remember most of the extra hour of Nitro was all talking and recaps of what happened last weeks. -

I swear there's matches on Football Manager you're not suppose to be able to win, no matter what you do. -
Probably sometime within the next 2 weeks from what they've been saying. They're currently testing the data to make sure its realistic.

Well, looks like someone at Microsoft is on the AA program or something. First they admit they have a problem.... -
Guess this answers the question I asked a few days ago, although it wasn't aimed at Joe since I rate him higher then 'Lower Card'. If someone like Joe is willing to turn his back on TNA, you can only guess at who else would leave. Personally, I can't blame Joe at all, he's on a run, the crowd where chanting his name pretty much from start to finish of each show, he could smell the gold then.... Hi, I'm Vince Russo. Hi, I'm Kurt Angle. Who are you? Samosa Who? No, this is my title, move along little doggie. Ok, maybes that's a little childish, but hey. Joe is the one thing that TNA can count on, alot of people see him as TNA - more so then Christian Cage, a lot more then Kurt Angle, maybes even more then AJ Styles and Christopher Daniels. He's certainly been TNA's TV Poster by up until Angle arrived. However, I'm not sure how much of a 'blow' it would be to TNA if Joe did leave, its not as if they're using him strongly at the moment as it is, and they have a Main Event so packed with premade stars, why should they take the time and effort to make Joe a star. TNA pisses me off.

Maybes its a generational thing but, I've just watched 'The Deer Hunter', had it on DVD for ages but never got around to watching it and.... What an over hyped piece of shit that was. I was bored, and by the end I felt like I had wasted my time watching it. I personally wanted to shoot all of them in the head for wasting my time. Like I said, maybes its a Generational thing... I'm 22.

I like him and can see good potential, I'm sure alot of it has to do with confidence. Over the last year, he's been pushed then depushed for one reason or another, usually not directly his fault (Melina/Mercury). I'm enjoying his ECW run, he seems to have taken it as a sign to step up and prove himself, if he can move away from being a Spot Monkey of sorts, maybes take note of Shawn Michaels early work, he could be a Main Eventer for years to come. -
T-Zone Data Thread http://www.greydogsoftware.com/forum/showthread.php?t=23104 Fall of the One Ring Circus Thread http://www.greydogsoftware.com/forum/showthread.php?t=21646 Death of the Territories (80's Real Life Data) Thread - truly amazing and scarily accurate in parts! http://www.greydogsoftware.com/forum/showthread.php?t=21015 TEW Mod Download Site - very good http://bobinc.net/index.html

T-Zone is the only current real life data for TEW07, its from Late May07, its ok but there's little things that are annoying. There's a up to date real life data mod in the works called 'Fall of the One Ring Circus' which is usually pretty good. T-Zone Pros HUGE DATA BASE Cons Huge data base is copied and imported from past versions of TEW and TEW 05, things are slightly out dated. Most workers have generic stats due to the sheer amount of workers in the database, so things aren't completely accurate. 1RC Pros Smaller database with an eye on accuracy Cons Might not have all the guys you want to use in it Some say its generous on the stat side of things making it easier

OH, the Dupps, I thought they were called The Duffs, no wonder I couldn't find anything haha. Actually, just checked his wiki page, and it mentions it there... retarded moment has passed. On a side note, Goldielocks sucked! Glad she's not in it anymore, missed most of the early PPVs back in the day, didn't see them until S.E.X came into it - thanks to TWC in the UK.
-
Currently watching the weekly TNA PPVs (up to PPV9) and somethings bugging me. Is Stan Duff, Trevor Rhodes/Murdoch? He kinda looks the same, has a similar gimmick and has the same Tazzmanian Devil Tattoo on his arm. I know its a strange thing to ask, but its bugging me and I can't seem to find any info on the net about it.
-
Might be tempted to start a TNA game on TEW, I've been busy adjusting the T-Zone data so its a little bit more realistic, hope it works.
-
Haha that looks pretty cool, I may be tempted to embarrass myself and get the drums.

I've had fun starting my own indie fed in the Great Lakes lol, however the game world is totally fucked due to the data. TNA Brother Spike was TNA World Heavyweight Champion for 4 months, Kip James was TNA X Division Champion (and still is) for a year. WWE They signed, Christopher Daniels, Alex Shelly, Chris Hero, Raven, Juvi and Justin Credible. Shelly and Daniels were jobbers on Smackdown, Chris Hero was a Color Commentator on Raw. They were all fired a few weeks later. Vince McMahon retired from ownership, moved to booker, retired as an On screen Character. Steph took over as owner, Fell to Cult level, lost TV deals, sacked half the roster, rest of roster left to tour Japan as WWE wasn't big enough for them anymore (HBK, Edge, Cena). Ric Flair is now the champ. Thing is, I guess that could actually happen in real life. Great Lakes Wrestling (my Indie fed) Mike Modest has been my champ, feuding with Josh Barnet haha. Alex Shelly arrived and proclaimed that GLW was a shithole, he went on to win the 18man Trophy Tournament. Alex Wright is the midcard mastermind, along with Dallas Hart, Sederick Strong and Ted Dibiase Jr.

TEW07 is really good, nice features added, the only downside is that the team who made the Real World data have done a poor job (imo). Download the demo, then download the Real World data, you'll be able to play a month of it to get a feel of what they've done. They've clearly just imported their previous data from TEW05, and maybes even TEW (you can tell because profiles are several years out of data making references to current events long gone), they have a whole host of wrestlers active who have either retired, or left the business, and have been very generous with the 'puro' stat. The new features on TEW07, are worth it if the data is good. Its a harder game now, you have to actually book well to survive.

But I will say that given how things seem to be going now, I wouldn't be surprised if games eventually did start to become as short as the older games, just because of how many current gen games seem to be clocking in at around 8-10 hours, when 10+ used to be the norm. I was thinking of PS3 games like Resistance, PS2's God of War 2 and in a way Crackdown where I can't see how they can justify releasing it. Of course, it possible I sucked as a kid playing games, and have, maybes, got better over time. -

How odd, that happened in my TEW game not so long ago. Stephanie McMahon took over, 2 weeks later WWE fell to Cult Level, lost Raw and Smackdown from the networks and all their stars left to tour Japan with AJPW and NJPW. But then, that is only a game and the data is very weak.
