The One and Only Batman Begins thread
Obi Chris Kenobi replied to Ravenbomb's topic in Television & Film
haha that's cool, for a moment though I thought it was the guy from 4400. -
Well, until this is confirmed I'm guessing this is just wildfire on the back of Sabu's release from WWE. Considering WWE.com have been jumping the gun with releases this year, seems odd they haven't had anything up on their site yet. Personally, RVD/Sabu in TNA would piss me off at this moment in time - where's the space for them? Who would they replace? It would just make TNA even more of a watered down 'WWE Brand'. Hopefully RVD takes some indie bookings and stays away from TNA.

Shows That Shouldn't Have Been Cancelled
Obi Chris Kenobi replied to In Credible's topic in Television & Film
haha Jericho was cancelled? I called that one in the 'Shows that should be cancelled' Thread, nice one. In truth it just never produced the goods to match the concept. -
Isn't it an in house production by Dale? Also, why does Shelly never get a pinfall win, and further still, how come he's always the one that gets pinned in 4 ways?
-
It already happened in WCW, didn't it? Possibly, but I can't really remember, stopped watching WCW by 2000ish.

Bigger is better! Almost a WWE mentality with these new belts, awesome.

Ah well, there's always next year

Too late to join in?

Didn't they say that he had backproblems about 2 weeks ago on Smackdown?
-
The Bashams weren't over whatsoever, mark that down as another Ex-WWE talent bombing the iMPACT Zone (Angle, VKM). Infact, I'm pretty sure I heard a Bashams Suck chant on the iMPACT before Sacrifice. It's a shame really, as the Bashams are actually pretty decent.

Impact/Xplosion Spoilers for the next 2 weeks
Obi Chris Kenobi replied to Matt Young's topic in TNA Wrestling
Kaz and Seratonin has been a little slow and patchy build up, a few weeks/months ago, Kaz stood up and looked like he was going to rebel against Raven caning him after he lost a match. However, he backed down and got a caning anyway, could it be they're simply building a Kaz/Raven fued? -
I read they baited Roma into saying shit to make the DVD more interesting, this true?

Impact/Xplosion Spoilers for the next 2 weeks
Obi Chris Kenobi replied to Matt Young's topic in TNA Wrestling
Thanks for posting, looks like TNA have done something at least semi smart in having Joe advance to the KoTM, strange they put him over Sting with no fan fare (then again they do have 2 weeks of Tenay and West to hard sell it like troopers). I'm half excited to see the Steiner Brothers back together, wonder what condition Ricks in, been years since I've seen him in the ring and the last time I saw him in wrestling was when Sting was choosing his partner about this time last year. -
I only found out by saying the same thing, and got shot down by the Lost Fanatics at a Lost Forum. They're mean, like month old bread.
-
That was an in joke, a poke at the Lost Forums who thought that a bird had said Hurley's name in an earlier episode.
-
Hahahaha I can see how you might think it was Evaluating your performance. That probing Eye.
-
Could be, would make some sense, as that's the only connection I can think of. On a side note, if Jacob is Smokey the Monster - as I've read on other boards - why did Smokey try to drag Locke down into the middle of the island? Then again, Locke did shout at the Losties to let him get dragged down.. hmm

Shows Worthy of Cancellation
Obi Chris Kenobi replied to milliondollarchamp's topic in Television & Film
I'm tempted to say Jericho, but its such a good idea I want it to get better. Only problem is, I've been wanting to get better for the entire first Season, it just lacks something. I'd also rate Jericho as the #1 Unintentional Funny show on TV right now too, some of the scenario's they act out are so bad, and badly reacted to its unreal. Hey lets have a BBQ, terrorists just blew the world up. -
Now you mention it, I guess it was 'wrestling instinct' to kick out of a pin fall? Or maybes they're not that clever. For as excited I was that Angle was announced as joining TNA, am as disappointed and almost regretful he did join. I'm tired of him already, he's just this 'Angry shouty man'. He's going to take a real main event place from Joe/Daniels/Styles, and will probably be crowned the new TNA Champion at Slammiversary, which by all rights should belong to Joe/Daniels/Styles. Same with Sting, is he retiring at the end of this year? EDIT: I just watched the main event again and the no sell by the crowd when the match is over made me wet my pants with laughter. You can almost see the disbelief/anger in Angle's face that no one is cheering. The front row behind him are deadpan bored/uninterested - it sums up TNA's Main Event picture right now. Is it possible they cut from the show quickly due to the none reaction to Angle 'Winning' the belt?
-
This was, actually, a really enjoyable PPV. The only thing that ruined it slightly was the main event - but isn't that TNA's speciality recently? I thought the Texas Deathmatch was going to suck, but I'm glad I was wrong. They put on a real good match, had some good spots, insane bladejob and a nice touch that they'd actually kick out of pin attempts now and again - haven't seen that too much in Texas Deathmatch's I've seen in recent years. The opening X-Division match was great way to open the show, even if it was starting to turn into a bit of a spotfest, it got the crowd alive. If Dixie Carter claims to be in the crowd and absorb the atmosphere as much as does, then hopefully she's picked up on what the crowd are enjoying - although this isn't an excuse for more gimmick matches. As expected Tiger Mask got zero pop, even less so then the Bashams. It was nice to see the Steiners reunite again after almost 10 years of them splitting up due to the NWO.
-
I will wet my pants with laughter if Big Sam goes to Man City, it would be typical Newcastle luck. All this jazz and whohar about Big Sam coming to us, then he swerves and goes Man City.
-
Ah makes sense, though TNA have had a new champion every other week since JJ.

Time for another post your desktop thread....
Obi Chris Kenobi replied to Mik's topic in General Chat
Haha yeah, love Reeves & Mortimer and it's not just because I'm from the North East. -
What had TNA done that had breached the agreement?
