Its honored and fabled and has its own Legacy as the shirt that was worn by Newcastle greats such as Jackie Milburn, Andy Cole and Alan Shearer. It's an honor for a striker to be given it. Likewise the Man U #7 Jersey has its own history and so on. So rather then retire the number, they hold it high esteem due to those who wore it before and pass it on to someone they believe is worthy to wear it.

Well, I'm more then surprised at how well Newcastle did against Man U - if I'm bold I could say we deserved to win considering Man U scored when we were down to 10 men with Taylor (Defender) was off the pitch due to injury. I'll have a more detailed conclusion in my blog later on. The 1-1 draw was more then earned.

You guys really had to work for that win today though, you didn't start to play until the last 15 minutes and were lucky to be drawing at half time against Sunderland. Roy Keane has done something interesting with the dirty mackems though, they look like they care about doing something in the Premiership. As for the other Keane? I think he still looks out of place at Liverpool.

Wow Dean Ashton is looking amazing today - if he can have an injury free season he could really do some good for West Ham. Always been a fan of Ashton, had him pegged to replace Shearer a few seasons ago, but his injuries harm his chances of ever doing anything good. EDIT: hmm Liverpool are making Sunderland look decent - shame on you, Liverpool, SHAME ON YOU! Two games in a row you've looked pretty poor. They need a word at half time.

I didn't sense the hype when I played the Demo either. I mean fair play to them for developing the game, but I don't see why people defend so much on various messageboards (GAMEFAQS).

Hey Folks! I'm thinking of starting a Podcast soon about my Football (Soccer) Team Newcastle United or maybe the Premier League as a whole. I was looking for any tips/advice/programs from people who have done/do podcasting to get me on my way. I've got some experience with multi track recording, editing and dubbing from when I used to record stuff in my band - so I was basically just thinking of using the same stuff for that. But any advice or tips would be more then welcome on presentation and formatting. Thanks, Chris

Agreed. The insertion of "you think you know me" when Edge starts beating down Chavo was an excellent touch. That was indeed a nice touch as was other stuff like Foley's "Am I understood" ringing in the background. I didn't catch that, but it is indeed great that they did it. I'd love to work in their video department. They could practically give seminars on video editing at this point. The music they used was an ode to 'Why So Series?' from Dark Knight OST though, surely?

Been playing some COD2 and I'm in a bit of a War Movie phase at the moment. Can anyone recommend some good War movies to download. Could be WW II, could be modern/made up wars. Can be recent, can be old. Thanks
