Depends on how you'd word the original post that led the topic. If it was just: "Lashley looks like he got off steroids" Then yeah, I don't think you'd get much from that, but if you had said: "Lashley looks like he got off steroids" showed some picture of his changed, asked some questions as to what it meant and invited replies the yeah that'd be worth a thread of its own. You get what you give, I guess. Take this thread for example: http://forums.thesmartmarks.com/index.php?showtopic=91479 That could have been put into the random comments thread, as it is kind of, but the poster went into an effort to invite conversation and replies about his point - its a good thread to be honest.

Sorry to link another wrestling forum (but to be fair the posting standard is pretty poor) but is this what you want the WWE folder to look like? http://www.pwsforums.com/forumdisplay.php?f=164

Golf falls into the category of you only watch it if you play it, doesn't it - like Chess.

Madden, NFL Head Coach, and NCAA Football 2009
Obi Chris Kenobi replied to Matt Young's topic in Video Games
So, usually how much of a gage is NCAA to how the years Madden game will be? -
Surely the Game Gear has been mentioned?

http://www.nfl.com/news/story?id=09000d5d8...mp;confirm=true Poor Jurevicius just has the worst luck with his knee injury, which is a shame, as he's a good hard working WR.

We should start a Nintendo one soon

That's a nice goal like. You expecting Barnes to be with you start of the season, or gone? I remember the games against Newcastle he was a real driving force for your team, could carry the ball well, drive it forward on some darting runs, made good runs off the ball and could even pass. I wouldn't be surprised if someone thought they could groom him into a top level player - I really hope for his sake he doesn't come to Newcastle as we suck at grooming young players into potential stars (Tomasson, Dyer, Jenas, Milner, N'Zogbia)
-
Yeah, the Rob Earnshaw signing totally baffled me at the time as well, he's not known for being a prolific scorer now is he? He'll grab that 1 goal after coming off the bench in the 89th minute to either tie the game or give you a sly win once every 5 games but that's about it. As for Giles Barnes, Newcastle are CONSTANTLY linked with him in the press every other month. He did look good, but I'm not sure, he looks like Jenas and Dyer rolled into one player, and we all know how those two turned out.
-
Well, he could turn out to be the signing of the season, even if it is just a loan, for you guys. I mean, I was surprised Paul Jewel was as brunt and as honest as he was last season when he basically came out and said the whole Derby team wasn't worthy of being in the Premiership! What was your take on that, as a fan? I mean, I think he's right, anyone who can give Sunderland a run for their money to take away the worst Premiership record ever, has to have a serious look at themselves. However saying that, it taken Sunderland 40m+ to 'just' secure themselves in the Premiership again this year. Will Derby ever have that money to spend? Is that what it takes now for a club to 'gulf' the gap between the Championship and Premiership?
-
Przemyslaw Kazmierczak I'll give you £10 if you guys can make a terrace chant for that name! Interesting that he's slipped into the Derby team though, keep us informed of what he's like, personally can't say I've heard of him, but Paul Jewel does have a love affair with random Polish players. He signed Tomasz Cywka for Wigan too. EDIT: I've decided to blog Newcastle's season this season on my TSM blog if anyone wants to read it. Expect a break down around mid November.

OOh sorry, didn't get a PM, reet, so for my 2 Picks... Deco "He may look like a lost boy in a Japanese comic but Deco is intelligent, focused, hard, arrogant and a superb passer." - British football magazine FourFourTwo on Deco's abilities. Some say he's past it, but for me he's the one who can pass it. Sublime player and I'm surprised in a way he's drifted this far back in the picks and is sitting on someones bench - mine no less. Hey and fun fact time, he started his career at Corinthians who have a Black & White away kit (ok so he only made 2 appearances but shh). I honestly can't wait to watch him this season at Chelsea - even more so if they sign Kaka to play alongside him! Lucky cockney gits. and here's the mandatory Deco skills youtube video. and for my 2nd pick: Kevin Keegan I would love it, just love it... OK, so his qualities as a manager are questionable, even I as a devout Geordie will admit that. He's passionate, but a bit TOO passionate and I think that can rub off both positively and negatively on the players around him - (read 1996/1997 season - never has a team blew a lead and a hold on a Championship so great as Newcastle that year). However as a player? Jesus, I'm surprised he's slipped back this far as well! Was told he was too small to play football, so played it anyway and became the only English player to be voted European player of the year twice. Skillful, fast and a great knack of scoring. Ended his playing career at Newcastle United by leaving the pitch on a helicopter... seriously. We love him, can't explain why, we just do. He's an adopted Geordie. Keegan Leaving Newcastle To be able to have two players like Keegan and Deco to come off the bench to add their vision, pace and skill to the line up is just a gift I never thought I'd have - Keegan and Milburn up front? wow.

So its odd to hear about Americans talking about Arctic Monkies :S I worked in a record store when they firsted start to become 'known' and had people fighting to get a hold of their limited edition singles. We didn't know what the fuss was about, but then, most people in record stores don't know what the fuss is about anyway.

Hopefully this year will see them break the WWE GAB curse and it won't suck

Top 5 'Modern' (90s onwards) guitarists 1. Tom Morelo (RATM/Audioslave/Civilian) 2. Matt Bellamy (Muse) 3. Jonny Greenwood (Radiohead) 4. Jeff Buckley 5. Mike Einziger (Incubus) I know its all the same really.
-
So far I'm pretty blergh on 2008 in music, there's been so false hopes (RATM reforming) and some nice hopes (Scottish Band Glasvegas - yeah they're from Glasgow).

My headphones broke, and all my natural born gift of stripping wires and bonding them back together with tape and stuff isn't fixing it, I'm going to have to buy some new ones tomorrow. So, any suggestions? I like the big old cups over the whole ear headphones for listening to music in the house.

Lightning Bolt - Dracula Mountain Website Lightning Bolt - Wiki entry I first heard Lightning Bolt due to a band called Muse who played one of their riffs to open up their gig at Earl's Court back in 2003. Working in a record store at the time, I quickly abused my powers and ordered in some imports of Lightning Bolt to buy (£18 a pop). Its just a duo, one on drums, one on bass, that rock out some loud, often noisy, riffs and crazy drum beats - but it works for me. A snippet of Dracula Mountain Extended version They have other songs that are basically in the same vain, lots of noise, lots of riffs lots of drums hit at once - but it gets my hyped up. On the recorded versions of the song it all kicks off around about 2:34 when the 'vocals' (telephone, taped to drummers head fed into mic feed) start with the riff before the bass takes over, then the drums pick up into madness. Here's the album versions on MP3: http://www.filesend.net/download.php?f=3b4...93faf4a2bdd87a9 -
Anyone out there who can do me a favor and link me up with episode 213, 214 on torrent, they're the only two I'm missing and the one torrent I found is dead. Cheers.

Whoops, I must've skimmed over that while the image was still loading. And I don't really care about Andrew's Nintendo Breakdown. So far its the highlight of E3 for me. Really feel for him though

Hope this leads to a Morrison singles run, I think he's improved loads over the years and could be a major star for WWE in a few years time - if he stays 'clean'.
