Well, I can't wait 2 weeks for the UK release of the 360 version, so I've got my hands on the PC version for now. I'll give that a go and see what its like.

I had read that the defence learns and evolves during the game, and the LB have more aweness, apprently EA were too keen on all the people complaining about people QB rushing all the time in Madden 07, so they've put a stop - to some extent to it. I guess by the lack of response in this topic, that the game is good - at least for the first 12 hours.

Tyson is known around the world, more or less to follows and non followers of boxing alike. Pacman Jones is maybe known to just NFL fans, for the most part in North America, and those who saw him on the news - again in North America. Just an observation to add to the Tyson v Pacman debate.

I don't bother with a tag division until I'm at mid-top Cult level, I'll have tag matches due to feuds that require them, but I won't have tag belt till later on, costs too much money. As for wage cap, for my small GCW promotion, $4000 is my cap per show.

Aye, remember you saying you had a problem with him, though I don't think I'd offer him creative control in the contract. How's that going anyway? Solved your title problem?

Totally agree with that, that was a great feud. Wonder if they enjoyed working with each other. I'm going to have to dig out the DVDs now and watch it again

WWE General Discussion for August 2007

I'm not sure he'd actually have to feud with Vince to get that honor haha -
It's times like this I wish I was living in America just to get a game a little earlier haha that's sad isn't it?
-
The Austin segment sounds pretty fun, if somewhat tried and tested, be good to watch that.

WWE General Discussion for August 2007

If it isn't Kennedy who could it be? -
Watched it again and there were some positive points to take home from this - Scott Steiner was on fire (although the match should probably have finished after the top rope Frankensteiner). I'm not sure how true the reports are about Steiner working against Doctors orders, but he really does seem to have fallen in 'love' with wrestling again. Sure his promo's are still out there, but his ring work has really improved. Team 3D got absolutely shitted on by the crowd - 'SAME OLD SHIT, SAME OLD SHIT!' - hopefully, they pack their bags and leave when their contracts are up in September (if the reports are true), or at the least TNA realize that people are sick of seeing them. Once again, I've got to applaud Abyss and the amount of crap he allows to put his body through for TNA.

I really enjoyed WCW set up - Tenay would pip up with some info now and again, Heenan would give the heel comments, and then Tony would give you the storyline. I thought it worked well. -- Having watched some more TNA from 2005, I miss Team Canada haha Also, Shelly, Joe & Daniels v Styles, Dutt & Aries from the Primetime Special (11.03.05) was a great match.

Started a new game (tew07) as my own promotion, got bored of playing as TNA. Pretty started with a crap cheap roster Norman Smiley Sean Waltman Ted Debiase JR Alex Wright Petey Williams Were the main guys, also picked up Dan Maff, though his matches against Toa Miavia are sucking really badly, worse then Amber O'Neill v Medusa. However, WWE signed alot of TNA workers, then went and dropped to Cult and released a whole load of their roster, so I was able to pick up Alex Shelly and Austin Aries. They put on a C+ rated match which propelled my tiny local promotion into a small local show. I have been trying to get Jerry Lawler to come down, but he's having none of it. In other news RVD has just passed away for 'unknown' reasons - he was 36 years old.

I mean bless Dixie Carter for trying, but she says alot of things and at times I feel like she's a great 'spin doctor'. I'm not sure how much of what she says is true, I'm sure she believes it, she seems like a very positive and driven person. However, when you read all these internet reports about how backstage moral sucks, and people are on power trips and Dixie Carter doesn't have a clue you start to wonder. However, they are just internet reports... As for Boycotting TNA, I'll still watch it to until it ends, whenever that maybe. I have no idea why, but I like my wrestling and its not like I have to pay for it (we get the PPVs free over here in the UK). I guess there's people out there that really enjoy the product as well (at least the 1.0 ratings worth of people who seem to tune in every week), so to boycott just because you don't like it seems a bit harsh. Boycott Nescafé by all means, maybe even Microsoft.

Is it still illegal to touch yourself during a film? Not that I will, but I'm sure there's some out there that probably will over this film when it comes out... but not me.
-
I simply meant Dixie Carter kept TNA afloat when it probably shouldn't have. Perhaps my exaggeration didn't come across very well.
-
Sweet, let me know how good it is please, It's not out till another 2 weeks here in the UK. Hopefully, they have a 'live update' on the Rosters by the end of the month.
-
Wow, I had forgotten how much weight Tony Schiavonie had lost over the years. Also, I miss the 3 man commentator teams.
-
Wasn't that due to the fact that Dixie Carter gets like $1m pocket money a month. Some kids buy collectors cards, she bought a wrestling promotion.
-
I think TNA have proved enough that they don't care about their fan base, therefore a boycott of people who don't care/are oblivious won't really work. Saying that, I'm sure if they continue to book the crap they've been doing, and their buyrates totally dry up, maybe then they'll change their ways, but I doubt it. TNA peaks and ebbs almost in some strange yearly pattern, it will have one great year, then dive bomb to total chaos and shit.

Comments that don't warrant a thread

Ah, got ahead of myself. I always get worried when a game doesn't have a demo out before its released. Hope its good, me and my mate at work have a whole week off to build and destroy each others franchise team on live. -

Anyone seen/played the new Madden yet? -
I thought I had read somewhere that Joe said at an ROH he was injured due to tripping over some bad booking (aka TNA's Bad Booking). As for the PPV, it's one I'll be quick to forget, it'll still be downloaded and stored in the monthly archives though for the sake of it. There wasn't much, if anything, to write home about. I'm trying think of what happened last night, and I can't put a finger on anything, all I can remember is Abyss getting beat senseless again, yet getting his annual #1 contenders chance. This PPV did manage one thing, it managed to further confirm that TNA is slowly heading down the road of WCW.

There's a 3 month lee way of the production date on the back, as they can't tell how long a unit might have been sitting in a store before it was sold. Not sure how helpful that'll be, and I'm not sure if it extends to the 3 year warranty. But, it's how they did things with the 1 year warranty.

Same old Killings, at least as far as I was concerned. The whole segment seemed like a waste of time, the crowd didn't seem that bothered. A few boos and that was about it. They made a bit of noise for Killings.
