I think the world has just stopped caring about TNA now.
-
Hope that's true and doesn't suffer the, now near comical, downfall of quality of Prison Break.

I'm enjoying AJ retarded cocky gimmick, it's something different and at least now he has a personality compared to his 'I'm in the X-Division, I do crazy shit' no nonsense character. I'm still waiting for some kind of backlash from Tomko toward Christian Cage, ever since he's arrived in TNA, Cage has done nothing but talk to him like a piece of shit. Though, his 'toy belt' remarks are pretty funny. Maybe this one is a slow burner. Team 3D v Eric Young & Chris Harris was HORRIBLE! It was so sluggish and the timing seemed way off, it was just embarrassing to watch. I've never been a Team 3D fan, and this match has just made me dislike them even more. I can't understand why they're still around TNA, they should just retire while people are still 'fond' of them. JB isn't nearly as good as Mean Gene at pimping a phone service for information. I enjoyed the old woman opening the door in the background during the Kurt Angle Family Affairs skit. I guess its all part of the swerve coming up, perhaps that old woman was Samoa Joe in drag.. probably not though. It's odd to see Sonjay Dutt being the Guru after having recently seen a 'highlight' tape of his appearances in CZW and other indie promotions, I've never really liked him in TNA, but he seemed pretty decent on the indie scene. Credit to him working through a bunged up shoulder. However, if he's a Guru that's found Inner Peace, why is he in the ring fighting? It would be much funnier if he just refused to be tagged in due to his pacifist nature, or just sat in the ring allowed himself to get kicked to shit. XXX were ok, though I have no idea why Christopher Daniels is still wearing that eye make up. The match was ok, but nothing amazing, nice finish though. Shelly and Sabin were at ringside, good to see TNA keeping them together as a team. Really not digging these Kurt Angle/Karen Angle, erm, angles. His wife is pretty hot. Why does Tomko keep helping Cage for? It makes no sense. Test debut was pretty none eventful fan reaction wise, he looked to be gassing, I mean gasping for air just walking down the ramp. I look forward to seeing Grappleworks Remix of today's Episode on youtube.

oAo Monday Night Raw Thread -- 8/6/2007

You seriously think that Vince not being on TV is more likely to cause a huge drop in ratings than one of their top stars snapping and killing everyone near him? It wasn't a serious suggestion, just throwing it out there. I thought I was in the WWE Booking Office for a while, I slipped into Brown Nose mode. But aye, on further reflection, I retract my statement. Haha. -

They could have the voice over from Star Trek "Previously on Star Trek: Raw" Then show the recap of what happened. -

Could it not be his disappearance from our screens that has caused the ratings to go down? I personally find Vince McMahon pretty entertaining, I'll admit that he needs refresh himself and style of feud he puts himself into, but overall he's a really entertaining guy. It must be embarrassing for some of the roster to have a 60 year old guy be more entertaining and do more outrageous things for the company then they do. -

Is this the earliest wwe.com has reported something about Raw? Or is it usually up on a Thursday? -

Maybe he strikes back at the Raw roster for losing 0.9 points in the ratings during his absence. Shouts at them for not trying know that the 'Boss' was away. Yeah I know, a long shot. -
Sweet, I can have the week I wanted off work now. They said no cos GTA4 was out, losers.

Spoilers, 'blurbs' and so forth were around when the ratings were sky high. If people are going to be turned off, it'll be because of the product at the time; they'll know they'll probably get something they don't want to see and won't tune in to see it. They don't need blurbs to tell them that. Ah yeah, that's true. -
I just laughed milk out of my nose and I wasn't even drinking milk. Damn, TNA is pretty fun to watch like that.

This might sound stupid, but, could these 'tv guide blurbs' be a reason that people don't tune in? I mean, if you know whats in store for some part and it sounds crap. Why watch? -

I can totally remember seeing him turn heel and there was just dead pan silence. Now I'm confused. -

Nah, there was complete silence when he originally turned, think it was at the end of a raw taping. -
I posted a link to it above.

Austin's heel turn comes to mind there then. Have to agree with the the Hogan heel turn. -

http://theinquirer.net/?article=41361 hahaha what the.. GET OUT! -
This sound familiar, I saw something like that at Sandy Bay Caravan Park when I was 15/16. The ring was tiny, and there was just a whole lotta running the ropes and take a clothesline. It was very boring, thankfully, War Zone had just came out on the N64, so I went back and played that instead.

And that's the problem, yet no one wants to buy into it that the world has shitty parents that don't give a damn what their kids sit and play for 5 hours on end. Its clearly the Devil Gamer who makes these Satanic games, that some how walking into houses and into the consoles of 6-12 year olds, and warp their minds. As a store clerk what can you do? You stick to the law and refuse the kid, only for him to bring his parent, who is over age and legal enough to buy the game, you tell them what the game is about, you tell them its not suitable for their kids, and they say... WELL THE GAMES FOR ME! Nothing you can do then.
-
Oh its all mental, its easier to blame the game then it is the parents. The amount of, call my discriminating here, 'chav' 'scum' families that come into the store to buy games and ignore the warnings you give them about 18 rated games they buy for their 6 year old amazes me. "Are you aware its an 18 rated game?" "Yes, he has loads." "You do know that this game contains, strong langauge, violence, drug and sexual references." "Yeah, he's played on the other ones. Just give me the fucking game." ... ok...
-
Aye would appear that way. The BBFC is aware that people who play games know its a game, and that they don't feel engaged into a virtual world as much as they do when they watch a film and are captivated by the storyline and well being of the characters. They (BBFC) also found out (from the survey) that those who play games, believe that games don't cause violence, and the violence that has happened was due to the person already being unhinged/suffering from mental problems. So it does look hopeful. http://kotaku.com/gaming/bbfc/brits-consid...ions-254198.php Little bit about it on the link above, but there was a pretty indepth article in Edge, like I mentioned before. Something I do remember from it, was the BBFC saying that they thought that the media did more damage then the game itself, citing that the media probably made Manhunt more popular then it ever had been before during the media frenzy of when the killing happened.
-
Well the BBFC is just for the UK, so it would only affect us. They decided that they could rate games based on the same model design they had been using as it was for DVDs, a different medium. I think the article was in last months 'Edge' magazine. So, they've taken the answers from surveys they've done and have went away to remodel a ratings system soley for Computer Games and Interactive Software, rather then use the template they had been using for DVDs.
-
I read somewhere that the BBFC are actually looking into how they classify games anyway, so this may get released yet.
