According to these TSN announcers, Ovechkin can't play one on one against skilled players. Apparently Koivu > Ovechkin.

I'm not sure what's happening to me, but I think I'm becoming a Washington Capitals fan. I love Ovechkin and Brashear, and Green is awesome. Of course I despise them when the Flyers play them, but I find myself being legitimately happy when I hear Ovechkin scored or they won, especially against an Eastern conference team. I did despise them last year in the playoffs but respected how they bounced back after such a poor start. I also love the new (old) logo and look. I hated the Eagle-type logo (but I love the Philadelphia Eagle one, go figure). Should I consider myself a Washington Capitals fan?

Huh, seems like every time I catch a Wings game they're at home and wearing white, so I thought they did that all the time.

I've been wondering... why do the Red Wings wear their white jerseys at home?

Good for the NYI in tying the game up. NYR dude didn't get slashed like everyone thought, and they come back to tie it.

    Let's predict 2009's won-lost records.

Obviously I wasn't trying to say that's the only reason they kept him around. Of course he still has something left or else he wouldn't have signed.
  8. I couldn't care less about his wrestling career. I'm not one of those people who is justifying watching his matches just because he was a great wrestler. Of course it was a horrible thing he did, and I'm probably one of the most compassionate men you'll ever meet (hard to believe because of this thread, I know), but if Orton did the same thing, or HHH did the same thing, etc... I still wouldn't be affected.
  9. That's not what my point is. People watch football even though Ray Lewis murdered somebody. I'm not gonna get all emotional because some overrated prick decided to take his family and himself out.

    Let's predict 2009's won-lost records.

While I agree they shouldn't be relying on him for most of their starting pitcher wins (and he won't be the leader this year), I think they kept him around to continue helping Hamels and Happ and other young pitchers. Hamels said Moyer helped him out so much the last couple years, so why would you want to let him go?
  11. I was being facetious about the wimps part, but I still don't have a reason not to watch any of Benoit's matches. As much as I love wrestling, no one wrestler is going to affect me that much.

Christian's Re-debut in WWE has occurred!

For all intents and purposes, Christian IS an upper-card guy, and that's it. I will never buy him as a main event guy and never will.

    WWE No Way Out 2009

I agree that when Edge took time off to heal, it should've been the end of the whole Vickie angle. While I'm not all for needing to have everything explained to me on TV instead of using my imagination, they didn't hint at all that Edge and Vickie went to marriage counseling or anything like that, which bugged me a little bit. They could've explained why they got back together instead of just forgetting about it. Like I said, it normally doesn't bug me when you can just use your own mind to say "they must have made up", but as a top storyline of a show, you should explain it a bit more than nothing.

    WWE No Way Out 2009

The Edge/Vickie thing has been going on since Survivor Series 2007, and they've "broken up" and gotten back together. It's not as cut and dry as you seem to have worded it.
