I agree, and it will be the end of his career, because they will force him to drop the stuff that made him popular in the first place. Unless, he can pull an Angle and turn heel again quick.

I wouldn't save London's win 'til Mania, nobody would notice if it happened there because bigger stuff happens there and it probably wouldn't get as much time either. It would be bigger if they did it on a lesser show, such as this one. What I would do... JBL vs. Show Taker vs. Luther (I hate it, but its already been announced) Kurt Angle vs. John Cena Now to the other stuff. WWE Cruiserweight Championship: Sho Funaki vs. Paul London You've done the big Japan trip, so give the belt to London here and actually try to make something out of him. The Cabinet vs. Eddy Guerrero, Booker T & Rey Misterio I considered just doing Bashams/Booker&Rey, after the challengers ditch Eddy, causing his heel turn, but I think it is too early for that. This way nobody is left out. Hardcore Holly vs. Daniel Puder Why not? Everybody knows Holly hates Tough Enough kids. Insta-feud. Chavo Guerrero vs. Billy Kidman vs. Akio vs. Nunzio vs. Spike Dudley vs. Shannon Moore No. 1 Contendership for CW Title. Mark Jindrak vs. Charlie Haas Heat/Cannon fodder match. New Team Angle vs. Old Team Angle.

Who should of won the WWE world title...
Kahran Ramsus replied to tbondrage99's topic in General Wrestling
Rey as WWE Champion would be interesting, yes. He could do the underdog champion fighting with all of his body, mind, and soul pretty well, possibly leading to some very compelling matches as Champ. ...though...would he be able to wear the title around his waist without it falling off of him? He's been tag champ before, so I don't see that being a problem. -

I'm amazed they would even let Holly in the ring with him after last time. -

Of current guys, I don't see why Rey Misterio shouldn't have had a reign as WWE Champion (other than Vince would never push him because of his size). He's been consistently over for years, and appeals to a wide audience, including kids & teens, a group the company has lost in recent years. Plus, he pushes a lot of merchandise. -

I missed the ending to the Dupree/Holly match. What happened? -

I think Saddam just wanted people to think he had them. I think that's obviously what happened given what has happened and his conduct prior to the war. There are only two options, he had them and managed to get them out of the country, or he never had them but wanted people to think he did. The latter is a far more realistic scenario. In which case you can blame the United States for incompetence, but not accuse them of being treacherous.

Its called knowing which battles you can win and those which you can't win, and making sure that the latter never happens. The Democrats will never win on national security, so stay away from that issue and focus on the stuff you can win (environment, social issues, economy). The Conservatives are in the same boat up here with regards to healthcare. They should just make some vague comments about needing to decrease wait times and increasing funding and that's it.

At least Bush loves the enviornment....
Kahran Ramsus replied to NoCalMike's topic in Current Events
We could use the world's entire nuclear arsenal and detonate them in the atmosphere (which is worse than a regular strike where the earth absorbs a lot of the impact) and it wouldn't destroy all life. But it would kill millions of people, and I think we should avoid that, don't you? We don't make that much of an impact on global warming at all, but we can change the environment at a local level. Bulldozing a forest to build a solar power plant would create a giant hotplate that would drastically affect localized weather patterns. It isn't what we are doing in the atmosphere that is our biggest contribution to warming, it is what we are building on the ground. Concrete absorbs more heat than grass. It is not a coincidence that the average temperatures in cities have skyrocketed in the past century while rural areas haven't experienced nearly as drastic an increase. Smog is another major health concern. Environmentalists are fighting for a worthy cause, but they are too focused on the doomsday scenarios to seem to want to fix the very real problems that the environment is facing. The biggest threat to our way of life is not the United States, it is those bastards in Brazil & Malaysia slashing and burning any bit of rainforest that they can find. -
1) Absolutely. Good examples are the WCW Title in June 2000, or the IC Title in 2001. Nobody will care if somebody keeps losing their title a week or two later. 2) The old 30 days rule is a good one to follow. Three months is too long in between title defences (as in Big Show's US Title run). Once a week is probably too often for the World Titles, but acceptable for lower level belts. No title should go more than 4-6 weeks between televised defenses. 3) Too long is when they become stale and fans are no longer buying the product. Someone like Hulk Hogan in his prime could be champion for years at a time. Austin probably could have gotten away with having the belt for a couple of years after he first won it in 1998. Meanwhile, one day is too long for Viscera holding the belt. In the current situations I have no problem with JBL holding the belt. He remains entertaining and people are finally getting into him now. It isn't like there were much better choices on Smackdown anyways. Angle was hurt, Big Show was hurt, Eddy was rapidly having a nervous breakdown, and nobody else was anywhere near that level. Meanwhile, HHH has had the belt for about 4 weeks now and people are already sick of him because he has dominated everybody on the roster (save Batista) so often that nobody (save Batista) is seen as a credible threat to him. There is no hard rule that says when a champion has held the belt too long.

Paramount releasing Classic Nickelodeon on DVD!
Kahran Ramsus replied to GreatWhiteNope's topic in Television & Film
It was great watching the Purple Parrots get knocked out before the first commercial, time and time again. I think I only ever saw them advance to the second round twice. -
Well, that and at least one of the triggers would go off immediately (the one with more than 2 teams with a $42 million payroll).

It's a digital cable technology called "On Demand". You have an on screen database of shows that you can select from and watch starting any program at any time and pausing it and rewinding it like a tape or DVD. The way 24/7 works would be like HBO or SHowtime On Demand, in that you pay a monthy fee to the cable company to get access to the menu of shows on your digital box. Then you can watch any of the shows in the category. The ExpressVu satellites in Canada have that, but not for WWE 24/7 I don't think. I would have to buy a new box though since I've got the old cheap boxes from 8 years ago.

I only had Worldwide at the time, and since this feud was featured prominently on it, I thought it was one of the main WCW programs. I never got to see any big stars (aside from Flair) until Nitro started airing up here in early 1996. At least I got to see a lot of Benoit/Pillman tag matches.

That's backstage politics for you. It completely killed his character and he was off TV in two months.

Rock bottom was the In Your House show in October 1995 main evented by Bulldog/Diesel and featuring the infamous Michaels/Douglas/Razor title switch. It never got worse than that show in terms of drawing interest, even if they did draw worst buyrates in a couple of the December PPVs.
-
Shane Douglas's IC Title reign. He gets the title handed to him, and then loses it ten minutes later. They could have at least have him hold until the December IYH, and then put it on Razor then.

Didn't you know Nero was an American?

KOTOR is on PC too. Update: He managed to fix it so everything is good for the time being.
-
I immediately checked the cord and the switch, so no, that isn't the problem. The plugs that power up the drive came out. My father is trying to fix it now, and not being very successful.
-
Ok guys, new problem. My PS2 will no longer turn on, as in there is absolutely no power going to the machine at all, even though it is plugged into a working outlet, and I haven't blown a fuse or anything (the television is plugged into the same outlet and it is on). Any ideas?

North Korea says they have Nuclear Weapons
Kahran Ramsus replied to UZI Suicide's topic in Current Events
How close is China and N. Korea? I have the impression that N. Korea is basically on its own. I didn't think China liked them to any great degree. -=Mike They don't. -
It depends. If the league can get an impasse and bring in replacement players by October, I think you find the players will eventually capitulate. If they don't, then the lockout will continue. The owners are prepared to go down on this, and it is something that the players don't seem to understand. They would rather bankrupt the league than play under the current system. Why shouldn't they? These are billionaire businessmen, the NHL to them is just a sideshow. The fact of the matter is that the players need the NHL a lot more than the owners do. The owners seem quite willing to move on with their lives if they don't get what they want. The difference in MLB is that there, there are enough owners like George Steinbrenner and others who find the league too valuable to them, personally, if not economically. Even in Toronto, Ted Rogers uses the Blue Jays as cheap entertainment for his sports channels. Likewise with the NFL & NBA. The owners in those leagues aren't willing to fold it if they don't get the deal they want. In the NHL, they are. It no longer matters if the players are right or not, they simply won't win. Billionaires can afford to lose more than millionaires of which this is their primary income.

North Korea says they have Nuclear Weapons
Kahran Ramsus replied to UZI Suicide's topic in Current Events
They were however the easiest to beat. The idea seems to be to beat Iraq and scare the other bad guys into giving up their weapons without a fight. It didn't work.
