I agree with Oz. But Serkis had to act out the performance on set, and then repeat his exact movements in studio later. He had to do double the work of a normal actor, and they merely replaced him with a digital image. He wasn't a puppeteer or anything like Oz. He completely acted out the part, and it was a revolutionary performance. Nobody believed you could create a realistic digital character until Gollum. It changed the industry. It is just the Academy not being with the times.

It reminded me of the scene between Takagi & Hans in Die Hard.

It would leak. There are too many powerful parties that would be interested in a cure. This is bigger than US Drug Companies. No matter how corrupt they might be, they wouldn't be able to keep it from coming out.
-
Again, it is Reid's decision, not TO's, and previously he has said that he wouldn't let him play without clearance.

I also thought that Gladiator was the best movie of 2000, but I happen to be a fan of that genre, so I'm probably biased. I would have been fine with CTHD winning, but I thought Traffic was way too predictable and poorly edited.

A 25-year old can live 20 years and pay $500 a month in prescription costs, which is about $120,000 over a long period of time, not including his health insurance premium and office co-pays, or he can get an AIDS vaccine for what I would imagine would be less than that. You'll never be wrong underestimating the ethical standards of the health care field. I've worked in it five years and can testify first hand. In the US. In Canada that is $120000 that health care no longer has to pay. If there was a cure, there is no way it would be kept underwraps. The government would save millions of dollars if they had a cure.

No, it should be up to Andy Reid. He's the coach of the team and it is up to him to decide whether it is worth risking the career of his star WR and whether he is healthy enough to actually make a difference on the field anyways. Its all in good fun. Kind of like the old Babe Ruth curse. I don't think any sane person truly believes in it.

Artsy pictures rarely win. Usually the like going for the bigger event picture (Titanic, Gladiator, LOTR, Braveheart, etc.). I think it is one of the reasons Aviator is the favourite. It is a bigger film than MDB or Sideways.

Danny saved the Book Smarts this week, who would've thought? Also, Brian's the biggest ass in the history of this show. I'd hire Omarosa over him.

I disagree. I think Edge will get in the mid-numbers, #15 or so. I definitely see him coming out before Michaels. I also expect to see Shelton early on, while Haas shows up late to spread out the entrances for the big guys and gets eliminated in a hurry. Haas is one of my contenders to be the fastest eliminated, along with Coach & Simon Dean. I agree on Batista. I would be surprised if he gets lower than #25.

Smackdown going live would be terrible. Not only is it far more expensive, but they also won't have the chance to edit out errors, which with guys like Heidenreich & Jindrak on the roster they desperately need the ability to do.
-
I didn't like the 4 person parties either.

Not a chance. If there were cures countries like Canada with public health care would certainly get it. It would save a hell of a lot of money.

When Did You Stop Watching On A Regular Basis?
Kahran Ramsus replied to Chazz's topic in The WWE Folder
The big one was when Hogan won the Undisputed Title in 2002. I had no desire to see some old man parade around the company with the belt, and it was a complete farce to believe that he stood a chance against guys like HHH & Taker. Then I was back watching Smackdown fulltime during the Smackdown Six era, all the way until the Mr. America shit, and a to certain degree all the way until Benoit jumped to RAW. I watched RAW fulltime for Benoit's entire run, but turned it off when Orton won the belt. With first the Olympics, and then MNF starting, there was no reason to watch the Orton/HHH show. I still tend to see both shows, but neither has been can't miss for awhile. I still miss weeks and I don't lose sleep over it at all. -
How about Slaughter, Warrior & Andre? Two problems with Diesel being champ. 1) They turned him into the lame baby-kissing face for his title run. The exact same thing happened to Lex Luger in 93. 2) Nash never seemed as threatening as Batista. He won, but he didn't look especially intense doing it. Batista is more like Goldberg than Nash.

I'm currently playing through it now, right after I got Snowe to join my group. I don't imagine I've got too much left, which certainly makes for a shorter game than the previous two. The naval battles are extremely entertaining. Me neither. I was 15 hours through Star Ocean 3, and I ditched it to play Suikoden IV instead. I'm happy with my decision.

The OAO AFC CHAMPIONSHIP THREAD!!!
Kahran Ramsus replied to Dr. Tyler; Captain America's topic in Sports
But the FG kept them in the game at the time. Had they gone for it on 4th Down and failed, the game would have been over. It ended up not mattering because they let the Patriots score again on the next drive as you said, and that is why they lost. They would have lost had the Steelers scored a TD too, because they needed to stop the Pats and they couldn't do it. You bring the game within 11 points when you have the chance. A FG & a TD+2 would tie the game. From a mathematical perspective it was the right call. -
Official Royal Rumble 05 Entrance List

You mean like Mo? My guess is Coach ends up alone with Kane at some point and gets slaughtered. -
Curt Schilling is going to be in the Amazing Race? If you want to really find out... Click Here I'm already not looking forward to this. Groan...

Russell Crowe should have won for A Beautiful Mind if not for the 'Oh Crap! What if he beats up our producer? attitude'. At least I think that was same year. It cost him a nomination for Master & Commander too.
-
He will be fine for a few months. I am not suggesting that he is going to be on top for years to come. But right now he is a breath of fresh air in a sea of crap booking.
-
Who cares? It is between Shrek 2 & Incredibles anyways, and it shouldn't even be that (Incredibles was the far surperior film).
-
Harry Potter deserves it, for Buckbeak alone. Hotel Rwanda got screwed. Ray does not deserve picture/director nods.

1) Good riddance. 2) Idiots. 3) Idiot. 4) Idiots.
