OHL. And with Rogers televising 67s games at least once a week, it isn't difficult catching games for those can't get tickets.

The big thing was losing Brock. The draft lottery was supposed to fix that situation, but it didn't. Smackdown had to get a star, and they didn't. HHH would have been a big edge on Smackdown, and probably would have improved RAW by subtraction.

Benoit/Edge would result in a good match, even if the feud gets shoved down to the opener. Presuming HBK does face Angle, I don't see any other real feud for Edge, 'cept maybe Jericho and that match should be pretty good too. At least Edge is a huge upgrade over Christian from last year.

Bringing in Hogan was a good idea, it was just executed wrongly. He did get interest for the show for a short time. Had they kept him as a special attraction, it could have turned out well. Even as it was, they got some value from him, aside from the idiotic World Title run. It was bringing in Hall & Nash that was monumentally stupid. They had no value left at that point in time with the Invasion dead and personal problems had made them unreliable. Hogan should have come in alone.

Angle/HBK would be good, but honestly I think HBK would have better chemistry with Eddy.
-
True. But he wasn't a fat slug. He had talent at that point in his career. Jarrett/Michaels is my favourite HBK non-gimmick singles match of his entire career.

He started the reign by facing Bret Hart, Jeff Jarrett (they had a brief RAW feud), and Shawn Michaels. He was already flopping by the time he got to Sid, who I have no problem with. He also had Bulldog, who wasn't dead weight at that point yet, before going back to Bret. The one big botch was Mabel, unless you hate Sid, and one feud won't sink a reign, especially when it occurs 9 months into it.

It was the biggest disaster in Canadian history, although I thought it was early 1998. It was during that winter anyways, the one with the biggest El Nino in 20 years.

The AFC is easy. San Diego is clearly a better team than the Jets are at this point, and the Colts beat the Broncos by over 30 points last year when the Colts were worse and the Broncos better. Denver is dead this week. Last time I remember this happening was back in 2000 when the Rams won at New Orleans in Week 17 to back into the playoffs thanks to Detroit losing to the last place Bears and then getting beat at New Orleans against the Saints A-Team the next week. Same thing here although it won't be as close. In the NFC we have two divisional matchups in which one team won both. Of those, the North matchup is easier to predict given the way Minnesota has been playing lately and they are a dome team going outdoors. The Packers lead by a field goal at halftime, when Moss declares that the game is over and decides to get an early flight home. It might be closer than some people think, but Minnesota is too sloppy to handle Packers running game over the long haul outdoors at Lambeau. Seahawks/Rams could go either way, but both teams are so inconsistant I can't see either of them winning 3 straight over anybody, possibly even San Fran. That and the fact that the Rams stink outdoors after the Canadian Thanksgiving, has me picking Holmgren. Colts, Chargers, Packers & Seahawks are advancing. The upsets could come next week, but the wild card teams (and the Seahawks) this year are clearly weaker than the divisional winners.

That's been changed fairly recently then. I know that back in the late 90s Green Bay hosted Tampa Bay in the Divisional Playoffs and they were both in the Central at the time.

Making the decision to have Stephanie McMahon head creative.

You see Sunday's game? And he said on a radio show today that he might do it again. I did not see it, and I thought he got over the whole "doesn't work hard" thing. Nope.

How exactly does a commentator "lose his edge," so to say, especially with someone as skilled as J.R. I think the bad commentary is reflective of the product, rather than the announcers. Sometimes you just get tired of it.

JR can be saved. He did well with Tazz at the Rumble last year. He isn't what he used to be regardless, but I think a large part of his problem is that Lawler drags him down.
-
Try a fan, whether it is hot or not, and put it on a low. A gentle breeze will put me out all the time.
-
I liked JR, Heenan & Savage for the short time they were around.

Well, Moss doesn't want to play so maybe this is the solution.

Don't say I didn't warn you when you come home disappointed. Remember the Invasion? And WCW had a much better roster than ECW. -

I don't understand why people are so interesting in it. To me this is no different than when Hollywood tries to remake a classic film like Psycho. It only ends up being a cheap imitation. Heroes of Wrestling also comes to mind as far as trying to relive the past in wrestling. -
Taboo Tuesday was killed by not being on Sunday night. The real story is that this did better than No Mercy and December is typically a month people don't order PPVs. My guess is that the boost is because fans thought that JBL might actually lose this time, which is what WWE should be trying to do every month as opposed to telegraphing the finish in advance of the show like with Survivor Series & No Mercy.

I actually would have done the same thing, but I would also have Benoit beat Batista clean to end the EC to balance things out. I wouldn't be surprised to see Benoit be the first eliminated, and it is that, not this job that will be the more harmful.

On film they pretty much had to be used at Minas Tirith. Apparently, Jackson didn't want to use them at all, but he feared the fanboy backlash if he didn't include them. Or at least so I've heard.

It could have been worse. Aside from the teams we have to face for winning the North, we get the Saints, Ravens, Bucs, Steelers, Browns, Bengals & Panthers. All those are winnable, especially if the Steelers fall off again like after the last few times they have had great seasons. The Atlanta & Philly games scare me, but if all goes well those wins won't be needed. Minnesota can't ever beat the Giants for some reason, and I prefer Seattle at Lambeau to the Rams in the Metrodome, so there seems nothing too much to complain about here. Detroit could be a problem, as they have potential and an easier schedule (Dallas & Arizona as opposed to Philly & Seattle), but they do have to go to Tampa Bay where they are tough and to Pittsburgh, two places I am glad Green Bay doesn't have to see. Grossman's injury this year ruined the Bears, and it will take them a year or so to get back on track. They also get to visit an NFC South dome team, Tampa & Pittsburgh and Washington could be dangerous next year so I don't think they will be much of a problem. This is a three team division as of now.
