He will be after he's done paying back what he owes the Dolphins. There are good reasons for leaving and bad reasons for leaving. Pat Tillman leaving earned him respect. People were fine with Robert Smith retiring early. It is a little different to be leaving because you want to smoke pot.

I would consider Jacobs Field a success. That old Mistake on the Lake was worse than Olympic Stadium in Montreal.

I'm still shocked that the NFC West is so bad Arizona could still win the division. Here's how bad the NFC as a whole is: 1) The final wild card team is guaranteed to be no better than 8-8 (and that's only if one of the 6-8 teams wins both games); 2) New Orleans is tied for a playoff spot; 3) Everybody except San Francisco is still in playoff contention with 2 games left, even though only five teams have a .500 record. Six teams are 5-9 and only a game back. It's Not Bad, It's Parity!® No, it is not because of parity. It is because all of the top teams (aside from Philly & Atlanta) are all in the AFC. It is the same situation you had in the NBA for years, where the best team in the East couldn't beat the #6 team in the West. Or why the AL East is so good and the AL Central is so crappy.

Eddy is the first US Champion. The old US Title is in the IC Title. And during the World Title feud headed into Wrestlemania XIX, Booker T said that he had never had that title. Because Austin took it back from the World Heavyweight Title. Bischoff couldn't because he had no authority over a belt on Smackdown.

HHH gets cheers over a lot of people. Hell, he might be getting cheered over Orton at Mania.

Green Bay was in position to obliterate the Jags, but sometimes things just don't go your way. I still think they are in good position to beat the Vikings next week, who didn't exactly light the world on fire in their win. Fortunately the Jags game meant next to nothing (only in the unlikely scenario that the Vikes win next week, and then lose Week 17 while Green Bay beats Chicago does it mean anything), so I can't get too worried about it. Green Bay is in the playoffs anyways. Heading to Seattle isn't much worse than playing Carolina at home even for the one of the two that do lose out, so this is merely bragging rights.

I know plenty of cops and have nothing but respect for them.

Weekend Boxoffice Report, Dec 17-19
Kahran Ramsus replied to Youth N Asia's topic in Television & Film
Whoa. Lemony Snicket did really bad for a Jim Carrey comedy. I thought it would do at least double that. Harry Potter it ain't. NOTE: I didn't actually see the movie and have no plans on seeing it, but the hype seemed to suggest that it would do much better. -
It had to be. A president hasn't been this over the news since Nixon.

I'd rather be in the playoffs than out of it, even if it means a Round 1 defeat.

Well, San Diego is pretty inept as a team. They should have drafted Gallery or Sean Taylor, and if Brees didn't work out they would be back at 2-14 and ready to draft Leinhart this year.
-
Absolutely. However, I would not have picked Rivers before him. Manning's team stinks, and it is really unfair that Coughlin put him in that situation. He should have pulled a Marvin Lewis. Ride Warner to the playoffs and then start Eli next year. Going into the season, I had the Steelers pegged as a darkhorse and the Giants pegged for the basement. Ben got drafted by the far more talented team, and you knew this even at the time of the draft. San Diego won the deal though, even though I still don't think they really needed a QB (I always thought Brees got shafted by them). Now they get an extra pick next year, and it will be high given how bad the Giants are.

Except Seahawks fans.

Denver really shot themselves in the foot on that drive. With Baltimore's rough schedule and Denver choking, maybe Buffalo can actually make the playoffs.

I don't think Benoit really suffers from the HHH factor that much. He's pretty much at the point where he can job without losing heat because he is viewed as a top level guy by fans. Where HHH comes in is hurting RAW as a whole because it makes it too predictable, and because we also know that it is only going to be passed onto Orton who is someone that the fans don't buy at all, at least as a face. True. But it was the reason he got depushed and jobbed out to Angle afterwards. Well, that and Angle playing politics.
-
Benoit is not what I would call floundering in the upper midcard. He's a central component of the World Title feud going on right now and had a nice 5 month reign as champ including winning in the main event of Wrestlemania. He's actually one of three legitimate superstars that RAW has right now, the others being HHH & HBK. Also, Eddy didn't get shafted. He couldn't handle the pressure on top. It is unfortunate given his talent, but that's what happened. Partly. I think he would have done it anyways because he has a history of liking to trademark his wrestlers names, like Road Dogg & Sycho Sid rather than just Road Dog & Psycho Sid.

That statement is quite clear. Bischoff gave HHH the old WCW Championship Belt, and named HHH the first World Heavyweight Champion. Therefore, the lineage is not in the belt. It is only the same physical belt.

The Knights finally got beat. 5-2 by Sudbury yesterday.

Now he'll just keep growing it. Do we have another Damon on our hands?

A Star Wars cartoon based around the X-Wing books would be fantastic. Any live action effort would be terrible.

If Sauron gets the Ring, the movie is over and he wins. Mankind was no longer strong enough to stand up to him like they were in the Last Alliance at the end of the Second Age. Sauron's thinking, and it made sense, is that Gandalf will attempt to put Aragorn on the throne of Gondor, the Ring will go to Minas Tirith and that mankind will strike out against Mordor from there. He never knew that they planned on destroying the Ring. That's why when Aragorn shows up at the Black Gate (in the book he looks into the palantir first to taunt Sauron), he damn well pays attention to him, and Frodo is able to go in under-the-radar. The flaw in the plan is that Frodo is not willing to destroy the Ring once he gets there, and they almost lose everything because of it. Once Frodo puts the Ring on, Sauron can immediately sense it. That's why the Ringwraiths flee from the battle immediately when he puts it on and head to Mount Doom to try and get it.
