The booking for Wrestlemania XIX was better too, at least on Smackdown where Angle/Lesnar was the obvious dream match and Vince/Hogan was being talked about as early as July (before Hogan bolted the first time). Jericho/HBK was well booked prior to the actual finish of the match. The only real problems were Benoit getting lost in the card, and the disasterous title run HHH was in the midst of.

Like any profession, there are those that are good at their jobs, and those that aren't.

Humans are too easily corrupted by the ring, and while dwarves are not, they would also be careless. They lost some of the rings they already had and Sauron got the rest. They aren't the most reliable race. The elves are leaving Middle Earth and don't see where it is their problem.

Gollum says that he would die if the ring was destroyed. Now I know it just came from Gollum, but if it is true it is extra motivation for him.

I loved all three, but Two Towers is the weakest due to the emphasis being on the more generic Aragorn storyline as opposed to the better Frodo/Gollum/Sam stuff. Helm's Deep never really did it for me either compared to the bigger battles in ROTK or even Gandalf vs. the Balrog. ROTK is my favourite with nearly all of my favourite scenes occuring in that movie. FOTR is in the middle. The Extended Versions are also much better than the theatrical versions. The biggest improvement is in the The Two Towers, where in the original the Hobbits (especially Merry & Pippin) were rarely seen as the Rohan plot got all the screentime. Adding the new scenes of the Hobbits & Faramir really help flesh out the story. EDIT: I am a fan of epics so I have no problem watching long films. My favourite movie is Lawrence of Arabia.

1) He doesn't want this burden at that point. It is also to show why Frodo has to be the Ringbearer. If someone powerful like Gandalf, Galadriel or Elrond tried to do it they would be corrupted quickly and they would have become the new Dark Lord. 2) The farewell speech to Aragorn really ruins this in the movie. I never liked it, because why would he escape once he knew Aragorn wasn't a threat. In the book he just takes off immediately following the incident with Boromir, and Sam follows him. 3) In the book it is Gandalf who knows they must take the road through Moria. It is Aragorn who came up with the idea to cross the mountain. It is building character for Aragorn since we know he will be leading the group at some point in the future. 4) In the book he doesn't treat Sam nearly as badly as he does in the movie. In the film he can feel some sympathy for Gollum since he is undergoing the same experience that Gollum did, and Sam has no clue about it. He also thought he could save Gollum, and in the end he was proven wrong. 5) The real hero of the story is Sam. It is not a coincidence that he is also the only major character who is not of noble or royal blood. Much like Frodo thought he could save Gollum but couldn't, he thought he could part with the ring and when the time came he found out that the ring had taken too much control over him. 6) Frodo's life was destroyed by the ring. He left because he could no longer find peace and happiness in Middle Earth. Sam lives a long and full life as Mayor of the Shire, and eventually he gets to go to the Undying Lands anyways. Sam clearly got the better of the deal.

We know they are both making the playoffs, so the 5th starter is irrelevent. Pavano could very well be a one year wonder, and I don't like Wright at all. Pedro could never beat the Yanks anyways, his loss isn't that big. I will agree to consider the rotation a push, and I prefer Boston's lineup and pen to New York's. This is right now, and assuming the Sox get Clement. If they don't get Clement or the Yanks get someone like Delgado or Beltran, then yes, they would be the favourites.
-
For now. If the Sox get Clement I would once again consider them the favourites. I hope by some miracle Toronto gets him though.
-
Well, I was exaggerating, but the key is Beltran or Andruw Jones if they could find a way to get him. They need an elite glove in CF. Obviously this is a benefit to the Yankees. But they still need to get Beltran.
-
The Yanks still need Beltran. If they don't get him, this deal means squat. EDIT: Can we expect the Sawx to sign Clement now?
-
He would just be a transitional champ, so I don't see the problem. It wouldn't be much different than Benoit/Edge, aside from the extra needless switch in January. The big draw of Wrestlemania should be Cena winning the belt.

If you contract the D-Rays then Loria will still be around. The whole point of my plan is to run him out of the league.

Hell, I think JBL is the most entertaining thing on Smackdown right now. Dissenting opinions won't get you banned. It was because he was an obnoxious ass, and then continued to whine about it afterwards.

Jim Carrey - Most under-rated dramatic actor ever?
Kahran Ramsus replied to a topic in Television & Film
The Academy hates him, but I've always thought he was a much better dramatic performer than comedic one. Truman is by far my favourite movie of his. -
Edge winning at Mania would have a lot more impact. I want to put the title on him there, not in the EC. So you would have to have HHH win, and then transfer it to HBK at the Rumble (or on RAW).
-
Contract the Marlins. I know there are worst teams on the field, but it gets rid of Loria and Marlins fans can just drive to Tampa.
-
Benoit/Edge is the ideal match, and since Benoit is in the EC it is perfectly doable. HBK/Edge would also make sense, but would make a mess of the title scene in January.
-
I figured a banning from the WWE Folder would be warning enough, and its not like I outright banned him.
-
Yes, he is a moderator.
-
I have been an advocate of this idea for a couple of months now. Right now he is the most over heel on RAW, and they have a chance to create the next big heel star by putting him over strongly at Wrestlemania.
-
Who do you think?

The Packers of 95-97 were pretty damn good too.

It isn't just reality shows. The sitcoms are just as bad, if not worse, and most of the successful dramas are spinoffs of the same two or three. There are a few exceptions, but in general network TV has gone down the tubes. Writing is just terrible these days. If you want intellectually stimulating entertainment you have to go to the cinema. You're not going to get it on TV. We talk about the decline of WWE around here all the time, but the exact same thing is happening all over television. There are very few things worth watching any more that are not sports.

I would almost expect them to keep Johnson now.
