They are here. And yes, the Packers are looking quite pathetic right now.
-
Haas is seemed as a jobber. For this you need somebody you can put in against Cena right away.
-
I would rather see Luther Reigns in his spot right now (facing Cena, not teaming with Carlito).
-
Seattle gains some redemption by beating the Vikings with a controversial finish, although realistically, Culpepper was down. The Vikings retain their crown over the Hawks in the battle of the biggest chokers in the NFL.
-
The problem with Eli though is that the Giants were contending for a playoff spot under Warner. Tanking the season does no good, as they could ruin Manning's confidence and they traded away their top pick anyways. It was just a bad decision by Coughlin.
-
I would have done that at Survivor Series. Survivor Series is more of a team night. It drew well enough anyways. It is Armageddon that needs the boost, because nobody has bought that show for years.
-
Matt Clement. A pitcher with a higher K rate (assuming a good BB rate) will almost always have a better chance at future success. That's what I thought, which I find odd since Clement has teams like Cleveland & Toronto as the frontrunners while New York & Boston were chasing Pavano.
-
I'm curious Al. Who would you rather have gone after? Pavano or Clement?
-
Ok, I haven't been paying that much attention to what the western teams are doing. I don't think they get them. They will get one of Delgado/Sexson, but if Toronto gives Koskie a good offer I would expect him to go there and Pavano is probably going to go either the Yanks or Sox.
-
I still think they should have done the 6-Way HIAC and make it an Armageddon tradition. Just take the time away from the useless handicap match and put Show & Angle in the main event, and upgrade from Jesus to Reigns. Add Chavo/Kidman (ditch the divas) which they wasted on Velocity, and we get a PPV that I would be willing to order.
-
Beltre had one good year. He is probably asking for more than what is being offered. The Mariners seem the favourite, but I hope not because I want Delgado out of the East.
-
I think they will take the OHL Championship, but will probably lose out after that. In better news, Ottawa (while still in 4th) are now only 5 points back of the first place Petes in the East. It is still up for grabs, aside from the terrible Generals.
-
Magglio said the same thing. It would be something if the Yanks don't get Beltran. They need him more than they need Unit. He will instantly make their entire rotation better. Why would anyone want to move to Vegas. There is nothing there besides tourists, and they don't go to baseball games. There are plenty of better places to go than there.

Yeah, Mike I certainly can believe that. Some towns even up here moved Halloween to a Saturday (not here thank God). We actually had an appropriate sermon that morning saying that would respect other people's beliefs and traditions and that there is absolutely nothing wrong with things like celebrating Halloween. Back when I was younger we used to have Halloween parties every year at my Church. Too many people regardless of their political or religious beliefs simply want everyone to be exactly the same as they are, and I find it quite pathetic.

Yeah, but Rocky was a legit threat by that point. He only lost to Lang because he wasn't taking him seriously and then creamed him in the rematch. The one where he is really a million-to-one shot is in the first one, and he loses.

I sort of like this idea, I just don't like the execution. Let's face it, aside from RVD, Rhyno, Tajiri & The Dudleys, everybody associated with ECW is pretty much useless as far as drawing interest. Rey, Benoit, Eddy, etc., are all more famous for having been in WCW. Instead, they should just have a RAW or Smackdown Only PPV and give it an ECW makeover for one show a year (all hardcore/gimmick matches), preferably in the spring after the big Wrestlemania storylines have wrapped up. Its worth a shot. Anything to generate interest in PPV, which should be the company's top concern right now since it is their biggest weakness. The RAW roster is more ideal overall for this type of show, so you would have to move RVD & The Dudleys over by then.

Why is San Fran the favoured team anyways, when the As have won 4 WS in Oakland and the Giants have won jack since moving west?
-
And he didn't. Creed won by decision.

He sympolises the meaning of the giving part of the hollyday. Also, Santa Clause is based on an actual St.Nicholas. So their is a religious affiliation. Yes, I should have known better. I know not everyone celebrates Christmas, but is it too much to ask that people be tolerant of other people's beliefs? All athiests I know celebrate Christmas anyways, and there are several other major religious holidays around this time of year as well. I just don't understand Americans. Then use X-Mas.

They'll have Beltran, but Johnson is staying put.

WCW facts, tidbits, and stuff people forgot

No, it was always WWF up here, although I personally liked WCW better from 1996-1998. -
America is the greatest country in the world. Its influence is far beyond that of any other nation, its economic power is overwhelming, and militarily it is dominant. Best country in the world to live in? That's a different issue.
-
Why does it matter? He's not up for re-election again anyways.
-
Undertaker way back in 1990.
-
Yeah, I am not in any way arguing that he isn't top 15 in North America (personally, I'd have him at around 9 or 10). But if you go around various boards you will see most people putting him in the Top 3. He is not Top 3. And that is why he is overrated. Bret is above Shawn for one reason and one reason only. Quality-wise, they were comparable. Bret just did it for much longer. Had Shawn not taken large amounts of time off in 93 (quit company for 3 months), 94 (spent only 4 months as a regular competitor), 95 (marine incident), 97 (lost his smile, plus was injured for a couple of months in the summer), and from 98-02 (retirement due to back problems), he could have surpassed Bret. But you can't ignore that Bret crushes Shawn when it comes to longevity.
