No, unfortunately. Batista certainly deserves the main event slot over Orton. Although it still isn't my ideal main event, which would be Edge taking the title from Benoit. Just have Jericho screw Edge over next week and give the belt to Benoit. Edge can clobber Jericho at the Rumble, let a Smackdown guy (Cena) win the Rumble, and get the #1 Contendership somehow afterwards.

And what about that fake field goal? You do plays like that when you need points badly. The Rams were a FG away from it being a one score game.

Flair winning is worse than HHH winning. At least HHH is credible.

By 11%.

Flair. Him winning would be an embarrassment.

I don't think its even in doubt.

Is this the worst year WWF/E has had since 1995?

Why don't they just send them out there nude then? At least it would be worth watching then. -
It would only work with someone like Spike Dudley.

That's nothing new.

You also have to remember that ratings aren't really a problem. It is the buyrates and attendance that are killing the company right now.

I don't see why we should concern ourselves with the business aspect. The numbers are there in black and white to tell us that it is. The real discussion is in terms of quality. -

No, because at least this year had Chris Benoit's World Title march early in the year and five month reign as champion. The worst was 1999. -
Here is the problem. A large portion of the audience was raised on the 90s, big fights, big costumes, big breasts, style of comics. They are generally the type that want the costumes, big space battles, and Logan in every title. Now on the flipside, you have people brought in because of the movies. They want more down-to-earth realistic storylines like in the movies. Now, any good company would deal with both groups equally, making their particular comics that cater to both, in order to draw both audiences. But Marvel seems to have this idea that EVERYTHING in their name books has to be the same, much like WWE. Thus the fanboys win out this time, and the new audience has been pretty much relegated to the Ultimate Universe. They have no idea how to market different styles.

No, it won't help, it would probably drive away the current fanbase even more actually. Good storylines and pushing the right people will get people watching again. Also, minimizing the crap that just drives away viewers, like the Diva Search. Better to be boring than alienating.

Big Show's been on Velocity twice in the past month.

It is pretty much inevitible that Orton wins, but I would much much prefer Cena or even Taker. Or hell, just ditch the whole Orton thing, be unpredictable, and have Batista win it. It would at least get people talking.

Alexander - Well, it's apparently a pile of shit.

Chargers take over on downs and will take this game 34-31.
-
Chargers take the lead. 34-31.
-
I've moved to the more competitive KC/Chargers game. 31-31 with 6 minutes to go.

Kevin Williams returns a fumble for a TD for the Vikes.

And Culpepper fumbles the ball as the Vikes are driving. Jags ball.
