I'll join as one of the final two slots, since we haven't finished the first round yet.
-
Brees is pretty much playing his way out of the MVP race tonight.
-
I was going to go with Tennessee until Dorsey became the new starting QB for the Browns. The Browns are done and Philly has something to prove. Should be a no brainer.
-
No objections here.

1. MVP/OROY/DROY/COTY. Who you got in the discussion? MVP: Kurt Warner, Drew Brees, Albert Haynesworth, James Harrison - The first two are putting up fantastic numbers and are carrying their teams into at least contention in the case of Brees and the playoffs for Warner. Haynesworth & Harrison have been beasts, and neither the Titans nor Steelers are going anywhere without them, instead both teams are Super Bowl contenders. OROY: Matt Ryan. There isn't even a discussion here. Barring a complete collapse in the final 3 weeks, if anyone other than Ryan wins this then it is a joke. His numbers are better than Flacco's across the board and he came into a far worse situation. DROY: Jerod Mayo is leading the Patriots in tackles. It hasn't been a very good year for defensive rookies so he should win easily. COTY: Tony Sparano, Jeff Fisher, Mike Smith, Mike Tomlin - Sparano turned a 1-15 with no significant additions into a playoff contender and gave the NFL its next big fad with the Wildcat offence. Fisher got saddled with a mentally disturbed QB, and was forced to go with retread Kerry Collins and currently has them at 12-1. Atlanta was perhaps even worse than Miami with their star QB in jail and their head coach packing his bags and leaving in the middle of the night last year, and again Smith has turned them into a playoff contender with a rookie at QB. The Steelers have been dealing with massive injury problems all year, and yet they have the best defence of any team since the 2000 Ravens and might be the best team in the league (New York & Tennessee are the other contenders). 2. What is the most disappointing team in the league? I had Jacksonville as AFC Champions, yet there were never really even in the race. They have completely given up at this point. 3. Many teams are already thinking about the offseason. The Seahawks, Niners, Rams, Raiders, Chiefs, Lions, Browns, Bengals, and Browns are all hopeless. Pick a team or two (or all of them) and turn them into winners this offseason. The three teams on the bubble are Cleveland, San Fran & Kansas City. With San Fran, I wouldn't do much. The team on the field right now could easily compete for the NFC West crown next year. Just continue to improve through the draft. Going into the season the Cleveland defence was considered its weak point, but sloppy play on offence is what has doomed them. Romeo has to go, and I like Schottenheimer but I don't think he is right for this team. I'd go with Brian Billick. He's an offensive guy that never had anything to work with on that side of the ball in Baltimore, and he's proven he can win in the post season. Sign a big name free agent WR (TJ Houshmanzadeh?) to take pressure off of Edwards, and use a high draft pick on a RB. Quinn needs to start right away. This can be an offensive powerhouse with the right coaching and additions. The Chiefs need defence, defence, defence. Especially the front seven. The first day of the draft should be dedicated to this. Their O-Line is a work in progress, but they started fixing this year. Thigpen should be the QB for the present and future. If they spend their efforts looking for a QB this off-season, then they screwed up. Larry Johnson is a problem, so getting a replacement for him is a top priority as well. Finally, they need to find a way to bring Tony Gonzales back and keep him happy. They would lose a big target for Thigpen if he forces a trade. I would give Edwards another year, since we knew this season would be a wash anyways. I don't think it is fair to judge him on that. 4. How have you felt about the officiating this season? Hasn't been much worse or better than normal. Not much to say about it. The refs are getting more flak than they deserve. 5. Kick someone in the NFL right in the dick. Who are you picking and why? Laveranues Coles. He's been on lousy teams for years. Finally, he's got a decent QB and is on the best team he's ever been on and he's bitching about his role (despite being 1 TD from tying his career best). Just shut up. At least TO waits until they lose.

It has been over 12 hours, so my turn. I feel that there are three absolute classic Sideshow Bob episodes, and I want to make sure I get one of them. Since the first two were already taken, my choice is easy. Season 7, Episode 9 - Sideshow Bob's Last Gleaming Wiggum: Hey, where is Sideshow Bob and that guy who eats people and takes their faces? Prisoner: I'm right here, chief! Wiggum: Oh. Then where's Sideshow Bob? Prisoner: Eh, he ran off. Wiggum: Oh great. Well, if anyone asks, I beat him to death.

While I agree, we shouldn't ignore the schedule either. All four teams in the AFC East have inflated win totals by virtue of getting both the NFC & AFC West, two of the worst divisions in the history of the NFL. Even with the Jets lousy west coast road record.
-
Looks like we go another round at least. Maybe we can take this to the end.
-
Looking good for me. I need to improve upon my AFC Championship defeat last year.
-
I didn't expect the Giants to go 15-1. Hell, I wouldn't be surprised if they lost another. Some times teams just have bad days.
-
Rome has to be relieved. Exactly what I was about to say. This loss all but clinches 0-16 for the Lions. Their D is gonna get ran off the field against Indy and New Orleans and Detroit hasn't won in Lambeau in about 17 years. I bet the Lions can beat the Packers in Lambeau. It would be a fitting end to both teams seasons. I almost expect it. Probably with a game winning drive at the end of the 4th, just like seemingly every Packers loss this year.
-
Looks like yet another loss in the last 30 seconds.
-
Whoever gets out of the NFC North is going to get destroyed in the first round.
-
23 actually. They blocked two FGs, one of which was returned for the Giants only score.

Deep Space Homer - Season 5, Episode 15 "I'll field this one. The only danger is if they send us to that terrible Planet of the Apes. Wait a minute... Statue of Liberty... That was our planet! You maniacs! You blew it up! Damn you! Damn you all to hell!" Oddly this isn't even my favourite episode of the season. That would be Cape Feare above. Season 5 is without a doubt my favourite season in the history of the show.
-
Close. I certainly thought about them. But the Rams are terrible and on the road, and the Cardinals can wrap up the division after this week.
-
I loved Persona 3, so this is definitely one of my most sought after games of the season. I really liked how open-ended it all was. You were more or less assigned a task that had to be completed by such and such a date, but the when and how was up to you. I had as much fun with the various after school activities as I did in Tartarus.
-
Good thing it doesn't count.

According to Ticketmaster they range from $105 to $350 per ticket. At Ralph Wilson Stadium, they range from $36.00 to $77.00. It isn't that much more expensive to get season tickets in Buffalo than they are for the one game in Toronto. People aren't going to pay 4x the price to see the Bills in Toronto when they can hop on the QEW and just go to Buffalo instead. I know many Bills fans that feel like that.
-
I would have picked the Raiders for tonight. I just have no faith in the Chargers at all, even against a team like Oakland.
-
It is definitely the price. Toronto fans can just drive an hour to Buffalo for much less.
-
Anything could happen in the AFC. Currently I have the #1 Seed and I could easily end up missing the playoffs.
-
Probably because the winner of this game basically wins the division. The Vikings are kind of the anti-Packers. Whereas the Packers play well most of the time and find a way to blow it at the end, the Vikings play like shit but manage to get lucky somehow and get the W.
-
Most of those losses were easily winnable. That's what is so frustrating.
-
What is so frustrating is that the Packers almost always (last Monday was an exception) play well enough to win, but can't close the deal at the end of the game. Once again the defence completely falls apart when it matters most.
