Jags get a FG to close it to 20-16 now Slayer.

You're a Giants fan? I thought you were a Jets fan.

And I think I'm the only one here... at least the only vocal one I can't really comment on my team's game right now since I can't see or hear it. I have to rely on dubious gamecasts. I think Vern is too. I've got the game. Vikes lead 20-13 off of a TD reception by Moss, but the Vikes D is having an awful job stopping Taylor right now.
-
And there is a TD by Randy. He's still walking gingerly though.
-
Moss is not anywhere near 100% in this game.

The problem with Shawn moving to Smackdown is that he gets hurt too much, and with Kurt Angle already on the show, they can't afford to have any more top stars that you don't know whether they will be around in a month or not.

Five guys this year. 1. Hollywood Hogan (Everyone still likes him, but they won't pay to see him. There is no point in bringing him back to wrestle, so he is free to be inducted now. The biggest name in history.) 2. Gene Okerlund (The ultimate sideline announcer.) 3. Bret Hart (Another obvious choice.) 4. Ricky Steamboat (Flair's best opponent, and one of the best babyfaces of all time.) 5. Jim Cornette (NWA/WCW's greatest manager, who went on to make Yokozuna into a viable draw and has done a lot of work building promotions and training the next generation in OVW.)

These will be somewhat unbalanced in order to help fix Smackdown a bit, but I will try not to bury RAW. I can't find anyone after the top 6 for each brand that I want to move. To RAW: 1. Undertaker (Again, break up that Angle/Taker powerbase. But Taker has more power than Kurt so he can hold his own better against HHH. The live show also really helps Taker's surprise appearances.) 2. Torrie Wilson (Might as well get all the Divas on the same show. There aren't enough to split the division. Same as the CWs as we'll see later.) 3. Dawn Marie (Same thing.) 4. Mark Jindrak (He is the weak link in Angle's group. Send him back to RAW to join up with Coach & Cade.) 5. RVD (He doesn't fit in with the Smackdown guys at all, aside from maybe Rey Rey.) 6. Hardcore Holly (Maybe he'll try less shit with HHH around.) To Smackdown: 1. Chris Benoit (#1 target in making Smackdown a better show. He also belongs with Angle & Guerrero._ 2. Chris Jericho (Get him away from HHH at all costs.) 3. Yoshihiro Tajiri (CWs go to Smackdown) 4. Hurricane (Likewise.) 5. Rosey (If Hurricane is coming, he might as well too. He could be a good heel bodyguard type for Hurricane.) 6. Val Venis (Gimmick change and a jump is about the only thing that could salvage his once promising career.)

Well, that and his cowardice. He never really made much of an effort against the Scots after Bannockburn. Edward I certainly wouldn't have done that. Pure manpower would likely have won for the English. It would have been interesting to see Bruce against Edward III too, and it almost happened. Robert died a year and a half before Edward overthrew his mother and assumed direct control of England.
-
Absolutely. There are other real inaccuracies in the film too, such as no bridge at the Battle of Sterling Bridge, Isabella is way too old, Edward I outlives Wallace by a couple of years, and worst of all, Wallace was NOT the father of Edward III. Bruce was easily more significant than Wallace. I'm not familiar enough with their military knowledge to say who was better as far as that goes, but Bruce's biggest successes were against the incompetent Edward II, while Wallace had to take on the best military mind of his age in Longshanks.

John ignored it anyways. The credit for the development of parliament should go to Edward I. He was the real greatest king of the English Middle Ages. Edward I was responsible for the development of Parliament? I thought was famous for expanding his rule over the entirety of the British Isles by basically making Wales and Scotland his bitch. They show his statue under his entry on the Wikipedia site; he looks evil. In a badass way. He did that too, but in his defense, Wales got what it deserved. Edward had actually been quite leniant with them after his victory in 1276, before they rebelled again in 1278 and really pissed him off. But yes, it was Edward who first summoned parliament (consisting of representatives from the Church, the barons, and the shires) in order to gain approval to raise money so that he could continue to defend Gascony against the French. He was one of the most popular kings that England has ever had. He did have a bit of a temper though, but he wasn't barbaric the way John or Richard III or even William I were. Only Edward III and Henry II rival him as greatest English king until Tudor times. BTW, don't pay any attention to his portrayal in Braveheart.

Along those same lines, Henry Ford deserves a definite mention. The mass production of the automobile was the key invention of the 20th Century. It opened up the modern world, by putting the ability to go wherever you want in a relatively short amount of time in the hands of the common man.

Of course I'm exaggerating, but Nicea is still a watershed moment in Christian history.

He was one of the founding fathers of this country. Not including him is like not including Thomas Jefferson as an American because he was born before it was a country.

Only for violent crimes, in which case absolutely they should be tried as adults.

English is spoken all over the world because of the British Empire in the 19th Century. Shakespeare has nothing to do with it.

The one where we never saw the arena until the second hour. Sometime in March 1999. -
He's Canadian.

Christopher Colombus was a racist bonehead who got a lucky break and came home from his last journey after his crew mutinied on them for his being such an asshole. Anyways, the European who had the most influence on the modern world was Constantine the Great. Imagine how different the world would be if the Roman Empire never adopted Christianity as its official religion and that it never developed into more than just a minor cult.

Woah, I am older than Dupree? I had no idea he was that young. I'm the same age as Orton.
