The ol' stare down, eh? I always used to do that to bull sharks at Sea World in Orlando 'til they got fed up and left. Good times...

I used to leave my pet duck at a friend's farm whenever I went on vacation, and they had this big ass goose that would chase after me whenever it even caught sight of me. I've also had encounters with some snakes. One was a Western Diamondback in a reptile farm in Southern Ontario. Funnier was a water moccasin I encountered in the woods of Central Florida. Which is only funny because I was riding a horse at the time and it just took off as soon as it saw the snake. Speaking of horses, I was also tossed in the middle of a swamp by one too once. Swans, emus & llamas don't seem to like me too much either. Emus especially are real jerks.

I still don't believe WWE wrestler was Willie the Worker. Meltzer confirmed it wasn't Hardy. There's a thread about this in general wrestling. How about Matt Hardy? He's a known whiner.

I saw enough of Lidle in Toronto. The guy can't pitch.

I can't disagree with that. I was more interested in this show than I have been for any week since the Benoit/HHH Iron Match in August.

WWE never treated the division seriously until RVD got there, so its not like its even comparable to the ECW stuff. It was started as a joke division to begin with. Just look at the way Foley was handed the belt. However, as far as hardcore matches go, Bret/Austin from XIII is 100x better than anything ECW ever produced.

Atlantis has supposedly been found
Kahran Ramsus replied to MarvinisaLunatic's topic in Current Events
I always assumed that Atlantis was probably Thera, but this is certainly interesting. -
Also witness the Booker/HHH feud leading into Wrestlemania XIX where it is stated that Booker never had HHH's title.

Bischoff did not take half of the Undisputed Title back, that belonged to Lesnar. So he created a NEW title and called it the World Title, and used the same physical belt as the World Title used in 2001. But the lineage of the WCW Championship and that World Title is in the WWE Championship.

Batista has a better look than Orton, has more charisma than Orton, can arguably wrestle better than Orton, and is more over than Orton. Therefore the answer is yes.

The home games should be wins (Jags without Leftwich, Rams suck outdoors, Lions decimated by injuries), as will be @Chicago (no way are they going to be down for that after losing to Chicago in Lambeau). The key is @Houston. If they win that, then they can lose to both Philly & Minny and still have a good shot of making the playoffs at 10-6 in the NFC. After that they should focus on @Minny to take the division. @Philly is a game they don't need to win, they probably won't catch the Eagles anyways. Learn from that for a potential Philly rematch in the playoffs.

WCW facts, tidbits, and stuff people forgot

About Chris Adams. He had a 'classic' feud with Glacier over who had the best superkick on Saturday Night, which Adams won. -
"it's not bad, it's parity" No, its because aside from Philly, the top teams are in the AFC. The Pats, Broncs, Steelers, Colts, Ravens and possibly the Jets are all better than the #2 NFC team (Atlanta).

The Steelers also have one of the most (if not the most) talented top three wideouts in the league. Bad move here. The Giants were still in contention for a wildcard spot with Warner, and they are basically waving the white flag with this move.

Forbes Magazine Says NHL Owners Overstated Losses
Kahran Ramsus replied to EVIL~! alkeiper's topic in Sports
No. People complain when one team has a payroll that is many multiples of the lesser teams. It isn't just that they have the largest payroll, it is because the difference between the haves and have-nots are absurd. It should be noted of all the complaints that there are no good teams in the NFL, that the most important factor is still the competancy of the front office. At the biggest extremes, since the salary cap came in place, the Green Bay Packers have never had a losing season, while the Cincinnati Bengals have never had a winning season. -
Forbes Magazine Says NHL Owners Overstated Losses

As far as revenue sharing goes, there also needs to be an NFL-style salary floor to force teams to pay a certain amount, otherwise cheap owners will just tank their teams intentionally to get the revenue coming in for doing absolutely nothing. The MLB revenue sharing plan is idiotic. I would rather have nothing than that. -
I assume he meant Renteria, since we are talking about shortstops.

Wow! This PPV sounds even worse than the Bills/Pats game.

Don't get me wrong, beating the Vikes is pretty high on the list, but Green Bay despises the Bears in ways that Minnesota can only imagine, even if it is lopsided. Yanks/Sox is pretty lopsided too. Vikes & Packers are rivals. There is pure hatred between the Bears and Packers.
-
Why didn't the Giants just go after Guzman, who is younger and better than Vizquel?
-
Except that the Vikings are not the main rivals of the Packers. Chicago is.

Mike Martz is a bad gameday coach. He has no concept of clock management and is terrible at playcalling. The Rams have a ton of talent, yet have underperformed every year since Vermiel. Dennis Erickson can't do anything and he badmouths his own team. I don't know why he even has a job.

He was over because he was a breath of fresh air in the terrible Invasion angle. Once that ended, so did his heat. It was definitely a novelty thing. He's held on longer than Eugene due to his ECW days and the fact that he isn't a joke character, but he never did have long term potential. BTW, I am not arguing that RVD wasn't/isn't over. I am arguing whether people would be willing to pay to see him. He certainly has his uses.
-
Yep. The latter is what Chris Benoit gets. The former is what RVD got.
