If it is up against Guiliani or McCain, I don't think it will matter.

Show some patience Mike. He's probably going to win anyways.

He picked up the final vote from Nebraska.

On the colour thing, historically red was the colour of the left. For some reason it is reversed in the US.

I know, but right now he is holding steady at 55%.

The Republicans look like they might pick up a Senate seat in Louisiana.

Yeah, because the Yanks tried to get rid of Lofton in April and couldn't.

You guys would hate our elections. The numbers bounce around all the time when the networks call a riding, and then change their mind.

Which network are you watching tonight?

CNN, without a doubt. Least partisan coverage. -
Lets hope so. Batista looks bad by being made to look like he's on the same level as Flair. The group had more credibility when Orton was in it.

The Surviiiiiiiiiiiivor Seriiiiiiiiiiiiiies Thread

1.) Favorite world title match at the PPV? Bret/Diesel is the winner here. It was the best match, plus it finally got the title off of Nash. 2.) Favorite SSeries team elimination match? Team Demolition vs. Team Powers of Pain from 1988. This was a highlight of the top teams of the era. Demolition, The Brainbusters, The Bulldogs, The Hart Foundation, The Rockers and the Rougeaus. Only Strike Force is missing, due to Martel's injury. And among all of these guys, the Conquistadors last until the end after the big Demolition face turn. 3.) Favorite face / heel (or both) SSeries team assembled? Face - Randy Savage, Jake Roberts, Ricky Steamboat, Brutus Beefcake & Jim Duggan from 1987. This is like an All-Stars team of the top faces in 1987. Heel - The Teamsters. Shawn Michaels, Diesel, Jeff Jarrett, Owen Hart & Jim Neidhart. Jeff Jarrett was my favourite wrestler in 1994, and with him you get the current tag champs and the current main rival of the WWF Champion and his lacky. Owen Hart main evented Summerslam that year, with Neidhart as his support. Michaels/Diesel were about to embark on a WWF Title feud. Jarrett was on the verge of winning his first IC Title. Unfortunately, they lost to a joke of a team (aside from Bulldog & Razor). 4.) Favorite non-world title, non-team battle match other than Austin / Hart? Easy. The WWE Tag Title Match from 2002. 5.) Favorite segment? I hardly remember anything besides the matches. About the only thing to come to my mind is Virgil in 1992 warning Bret after getting squashed by Yoko. 6.) Things you hated besides the Montreal Screwjob? The entire team of the Teamsters jobbing to Razor 5 on 1 in a lame CO. The end to the Team Yoko/Team Vader match in 1996. Shawn winning the Elimination Chamber. Randy Savage not replacing Sid in 1991. Austin getting run over by a car after people had already paid to see him in the main event. Shawn replacing Lawler in 1993. -
Best. Opening. Ever. That is probably my favourite single scene in the entire run of the series.

There was talk of sticking Frank Catalanotto at first, which would make some sense since they have one too many OFs (Johnson, Rios & Wells are the expected starters on opening day), but it is not an option that I am particularly fond of. I would rather have a real first baseman, and Delgado is Toronto's biggest star so it would be hard to see him go.

Test was in many ways similar to A-Train in the ring, but he was so bad in the charisma department that he just had to go. Honestly, of the three, he had the least value. You just couldn't do anything with him. A-Train I think they should have kept, but good riddance to the other two.
-
Billy Gunn should never have returned from his retirement. A-Train on the other hand was killed due to the WWE Trademark Halfassed push. He would constantly pop up out of nowhere, destroy people for a month or so, get beat by some midcarder and then disappear to Velocity for 6 months. Nobody can't get over like that. He had a good moveset, but lacked some basic wrestling skills, likely due to poor training. He certainly had potential, which is more than I can say for Heidenreich and company.

In Canada it is up to the DRO alone to decide whether to boot out any party reps who are becoming unruly.

Most third parties are whacko extremists. I'll take Kerry OR Bush over the likes of Ralph Nader any day of the week.
-
Yes, this was bad. But the people responsible were punished for it. This is a dead story. I don't see why people are so hung up on it.

Marlon Brando, anyone? Also, how about the trio of O'Toole, Burton, and Olivier.

All of Wrestlemania XIII aside from the Austin/Bret & LOD/NOD matches. It is unbelievably boring. The worst is probably HHH/Goldust. I literally fell asleep watching that one and had to be woken up. Even older, Roberts/Rude from WM IV is basically a 15 minute chinlock by Rude.
