Why? They've got money to blow and Sosa's still capable of putting the asses in the seats. He's not the big name in Chicago anymore, but he'd be a draw in New York. Big names get you in truoble like that. Bring in a player to your big market team who can produce, and he will become a star. Besides, why should the Mets target Ramirez or Sosa when J.D. Drew is available, for less? Drew has had injury problems, but he can't be more injury prone than an aging Sosa. I would take Drew over Sosa too, but you can't seriously be suggesting that he is a better player than Ramirez.

What I don't understand is why Minnesota can't win after October when they play indoors.

Sunday, here. We even were celebrating it at Church this morning, and our Minister mentioned about how stupid it was to change the date of Halloween. I'm Anglican, BTW. -
Was there ever any doubt that Shawn was Republican? Hey, I wonder if JR is too.

It can, because there are so many states up for grabs, but I would consider it unlikely. Certainly not impossible.

In honor of SurSeri: Matches with obvious endings
Kahran Ramsus replied to a topic in General Wrestling
Another obvious Survivor Series match was the King's Court vs. the 4x4s from 89. Jim Duggan vs. Macho King Duggan is fresh of jobbing the Kingship to Savage, who is getting a renewed push after jobbing to Hogan all summer. Bret Hart vs. Earthquake Yeah right. This is 89 after all. Hercules vs. Dino Bravo Hercules was a JTTS by this point. Bravo had renewed energy by hanging out with Quake. Ron Garvin vs. Greg Valentine The one possible win for the 4x4s as Valentine retired Garvin in the spring, only to have him return and eventually beat Valentine at Rumble 90. Another one was the opener of Survivor Series 1987. Honky Tonk Man, Ron Bass, Harley Race, Danny Davis & Hercules vs. Randy Savage, Ricky Steamboat, Jake Roberts, Brutus Beefcake & Jim Duggan. The cowardly IC Champion, an aging former champion from a rival company with a dumb gimmick, a ref, and two JTTS vs. the top five faces (minus Hogan) of the time. -
To be fair, the decision to put it on Tuesday was pretty dumb, but it wasn't the only problem.

Ok, Sault. KingPK warned you. Take it to the other thread. EDIT: You too Chong.

I was pretty torn on Iowa. I only put it with Kerry because Gore got it.

Locked Up Kerry 171 - CA, OR, WA, IL, NY, ME, VT, MA, RI, CT, DE, MD, DC Bush 208 - AK, ID, MT, UT, AZ, WY, ND, SD, NE, KS, OK, TX, MO, AR, MS, LA, AL, GA, SC, NC, VA, KY, IN In Play Kerry 102 - HI, NJ, NM, CO, MN, MI, PA, NH, WI, IA Bush 57 - FL, WV, OH, NV Kerry wins 273 to Bush's 255. The two keys for Kerry are New Hampshire and Iowa. If either goes to Bush, Bush gets re-elected (via the house if NH and only NH goes to Bush).

My problem with this is that they already sued Vince and reached a settlement. Now they are suing him again for the exact same thing. In Canada they aren't even allowed to do that.

You weren't the only one. But it can't be, that guy was banned and thus can't be here....right...?

Nobody would trade Unit for Kevin Brown.
-
Why does everyone assume the Yanks will get Unit? Last I checked he was not a free agent, and the Yanks don't have enough in their system to be able to trade for him.

Kahran Ramsus replied to Lil' Bitch's topic in The WWE Folder
Big Show should be the one to take the title. I like Booker and all, but if he is retiring soon, then you waste JBL's big job. Its not like he's never been World Champion before either. -
Michigan's now a tie? When did that happen?
-
At this point I only see Kelly, Jennifer & Kevin as even having a chance. Andy is a real long shot, and the others are clearly weaker. If I was to pick one of them, it would be Kevin. Kelly is too confrontational at times (especially with Andy) and Jennifer just hasn't been able to accomplish as much as the guys because of her teams. She could easily pull it out from behind though.
-
Wasn't Kent talking about retiring not too long ago?

Flair doesn't have enough credibility left to be getting serious feuds against anyone but non-wrestlers like Vince or Coach. Nobody will pay to watch Flair anymore. On the other hand, he is over, so the obvious solution is to make him an opening match guy like Hurricane to get the crowd into the show at the start. Sort of like the way they used him against Benjamin at Backlash.

He was rich in Texas though. He wanted to win.

Just imagine what A-Rod must be feeling like now.
