Ha! I knew it. Green Bay has made losing in the last two minutes or OT into an artform.

I just get the feeling of another crushing last second loss for the Packers. Things are looking a little too good at the moment.
-
The Packers have tied it up at 21.

I've pretty much got the rest of the season mapped out and I'm staying far far away from the Chargers. Week 16 is pretty ugly.
-
Interesting that we both went for a Thursday game for the second week in a row.

I'd go, in order of best to worst.. 07 Dolphins, 08 Lions, 01 Panthers. Those Panthers were AWFUL and I can't believe I forgot them. The 07 Dolphins would beat this Lions team by a TD or 10 points. They had a good running game, at least, and the defense wasn't totally laughable at times. George Seifert is in Canton if not for that Panthers team.

Well I'd attribute that to the offensive schemes of the teams they played for. When I think Washington Redskins of the 80s, I don't think Greatest Show on Turf. But the 1998 Vikings? That was as explosive an offense as any. The advantage cannot be denied. The Joe Gibbs Redskins of the 80s and early 90s were definitely an offensive powerhouse. When the 1998 Minnesota Vikings set the record for most points scored in a season, the team they beat to get the record was actually the 1983 Redskins. From 1983 to 1991, the Redskins led the league in scoring twice and only missed the top five three times. And were they scored through the air? I thought their bread and butter was the running game with the Hogs and Riggins and etc. Not in the record year of '83 (although they were still top 5), but at their peak in the late 80s they did have the top ranked passing offence in the NFL. Keep in mind that aside from 1995, Minnesota wasn't that good passing the ball during Carter's tenure right up until 1998 when Moss got there and they suddenly exploded.

I'll be in if there is any room left.

1. How do you feel about the Dallas/Detroit tradition? How would you change it, if at all? I don't really care one way or another. I like having the three games though as opposed to two. 2. Are there ten QBs in the league -right now- that you would take over Matt Ryan? If so, who? If not, does that blow your mind? Where do you rate him? Right now, yes. In no particular order: Warner, Brees, Rivers, Cutler, Rodgers, Favre, Romo, Manning, Manning II and Roethlisberger. I would definitely take those ten above Ryan. I'd place him somewhere in the next tier with the likes of Campbell, Collins, & Cassel, among others. He has been a big upgrade for the Falcons though who haven't had a real quarterback since Chris Chandler. 3. Who is the best player in the AFC west? Tony Gonzalez. He's just lighting it up right now. 696 Receving Yards & 6 TDs despite being crippled by having no QB for half a year. Extremely impressive for a player many thought was washed up. He's a first ballot HoF having one of the best seasons of his career. 4. Where does Donovan McNabb play next season? Tampa Bay. They are good team with a coach that loves veteran QBs and happens to be a feud with his current one. Garcia might retire, and if not, he's a free agent anyways. He will be gone. So will McNabb, who's clearly worn out his welcome in Philadelphia. This is just a perfect scenario for everybody involved, at least until the Eagles finish 5-11 next year with Kolb at QB. 5. Why does Seattle suck so bad? Age, injuries and a lameduck coach. They had no chance this year.

And we are down to two!

A hockey game broke out in Miami. New England better hope Light doesn't end up getting suspended.
-
Switched over to Titans/Jets just to watch Washington tear apart the defence. Looks like some champagne for Shula and company tonight.
-
Patriots are starting to pull away now.

I still don't trust Cassell. He's surrounded by a ton of talent and I've watched him constantly miss open WRs deep. Some team desperate for a QB will give him a big contract based on a couple of good games and end up with the next Rob Johnson.
-
New England/Miami has been quite the game thus far. Another lead change with the second TD for Moss. Been back and forth all day.
-
I thought they were playing Culpepper today.
-
Haynesworth is down. EDIT: Fortunately he is on his feet. It looked scary for awhile.
-
I did pick Tampa to miss the playoffs, but losing to Detroit is embarrassing.

Personally, I love having football to watch on Thursday.

Sorry, I thought that was the last round. Timothy Dalton
