This was the first time in the history of reality TV that my favourite actually won. Well, it is rare for me too. Brian the Pornstar from Survivor: Thailand was my favourite there, and Richard Hatch of course, plus Bill on the Apprentice, but that's about it.

As a general rule, the further you get away from the timeframe of the original trilogy, backwards or forwards, the worse it gets. Sure there are exceptions, but nearly all of the best books (Thrawn Trilogy, X-Wing Series, Shadows of the Empire, Han Solo Trilogy) are within a handful of years of the original series. Most of the utter crap (NJO, Corellian Trilogy, Crystal Star, Darksabre, Planet of Twilight, the prequel books) are further away. The best author is Aaron Allston. The depth of his characters and the interaction between them goes far beyond those of the other authors. He is also the only author who has no problem with spending a lot of time building up his own good guy characters and then kill them off if the plot calls for it. There is more tension in his novels as a result. His best book is Iron Fist, which I also think is the best Star Wars novel ever written. Following him are Tim Zahn, Michael Stackpole & AC Crispin. The worst is the woman who wrote Children of the Jedi and Planet of Twilight (Barbara Hambly?). Both books are virtually unreadable, and brought the worst Star Wars character ever, Callista, into the EU (not counting the jedi Hutt she created). Kevin J. Anderson's books are incredibly childish, but at least they weren't completely awful. He's definitely next on the list though.

This was the first year where my favourite team in the race won.
-
Season 2. Chris & Alex out ran the evil bastard Wil at the finish line.
-
The only place I've ever seen them is on that Star Wars: Movie Magic CD-ROM they released when the SEs came out. The scenes with Luke and the spiderdroid at the homestead were unfinished and pretty much unusable. The one with Biggs was fine.
-
Undertaker wasn't that bad.
-
And the Lions are alone in first place!
-
Jeez, the Vikes coverage team was offside and they still allowed a huge runback.
-
At the time they were burying WCW and building towards a unification match between Rock & Austin. Blame the booking for that one, not Rock. At least he put Jericho over, that's more than Austin or HHH ever did. Jericho was a cowardly heel, of course he was going to cheat.
-
It shouldn't have counted I agree. The Vikes got screwed, but it is Tice's own fault for not challenging it.
-
That TO TD put the exclamation point on it. The Vikes are done. And in first place...the Detroit Lions.
-
His best WWF/E singles match was as a heel, (vs. Rock at No Mercy 2001).
-
If HHH respects wrestlers as much as people says he does how come he has so much difficulty in properly putting somebody over? 'Cause to me that's the biggest sign of respect. Keeping your spot is called business, and name me one wrestler that would act any differently in his place. You can't. Rebuttal: The Rock. He's about the only one though.
-
Rebuttal: 10 years ago the top stars were Bret Hart, Owen Hart & Bob Backlund. (Sept 1994)
-
The Rock is a great wrestler too. Orton isn't there yet but he's young and will improve. He was pushed first and then became a good wrestler though. Austin was a good wrestler long before his big break.
-
In Austin's case, he was also a fantastic wrestler.

Ottawa. 613=10, which is lower than Toronto (416=11) and the GTA (905=14).

Best Starrcade/WrestleMania WCW Title Match?
Kahran Ramsus replied to The Mandarin's topic in General Wrestling
Flair/Race is a work of art. -
I love how in Royal Rumbles if someone gets hit by a Stunner or a Pedigree they get immediately back up so they can be tossed out. Kane at 2002 is probably the best example since he didn't sell the Stunner at all. Dynamite Kid no selling everything in Foley's first match is pretty funny too. Foley goes for his spinning elbow thing and DK just stands there and lets Foley bounce off of him.

Nostalgia all the way here. I absolutely love 1990.
