I would much rather see Salmon as Bond than Bana. He is also familiar with the role given that he has played Bond in screentests for the Brosnan films sans Goldeneye.

Shit like this is why I've almost completely given up on regular continuity and stick to the Ultimate Universe.

Yep, at least in the eyes of the law. -
Pot grower faces murder charges for firefighter

That's it. It is the same way in Canada too. If a death results from a pre-meditated criminal act, then the person who committed the act is guilty of murder (not manslaughter), even if the actual death itself was only an unexpected side effect. Stupidity (such as smoking in bed) isn't illegal, so they wouldn't be charged with murder. They may get a negligence charge against them, but that's it. -
Obi-Wan tells Luke in the first film (Episode IV) that he used to be a jedi along with Anakin before the Empire. Also, Tarkin mentions in his first scene that the last remnants of the Old Republic have been swept away with the disbanding of the Senate, suggesting that he also had been around in the pre-Imperial days.

Was Big Show younger when he won the World Title?
Kahran Ramsus replied to Lt. Al Giardello's topic in The WWE Folder
According to WWE, he was. He won the belt, held it for a matter of minutes, then forfeited it. -
Lucas confirms that Sidious is Palpatine on the Phantom Menace commentary. Not a clone.

It depends on my first statement. If HHH gets control and keeps it, I think it can stay afloat. Shane seems to have the brains, but not the ambition, and Steph has the ambition but no skill.

Then who was worse? There are certainly some candidates (Warrior, Hogan 93, Yoko, HBK 96, Sid both times, Hogan 02, HHH 02-03).

Weekend Boxoffice Report Aug 20-22
Kahran Ramsus replied to Youth N Asia's topic in Television & Film
I'd say chances of seeing Bourne Ultimatum are pretty good now. -
False. Shelton Benjamin is the next Chris Benoit. STATEMENT: No World Title run in WWF/E history was more damaging to the company than Diesel's in 1995.
-
STATEMENT: If Vince dies, WWE would be far better off if it was run by HHH rather than either of his two kids.

Kyle Shewfelt won Canada's first ever Gold in Artistic Gymnastics today on the Floor. And Greene losing the 100m just makes me giddy.
-
No, they were awful as always.

This is true. California has the worst crowds in North America.

That's because Thorpe beat Phelps in the match that everybody cared about. Sort of like how it doesn't matter what you win in track, it is the 100m winner that becomes the 'fastest man on earth'.

Spielberg is still good when he is focused, like with Minority Report or Catch Me If You Can. And the Best Picture for 1998 should have been The Truman Show and it wasn't even nominated. I get the feeling it was before its time. In the post Survivor world it would get more recognition.

The big story this afternoon was Aaron Piersol nearly getting screwed out of a Gold Medal in the backstroke. The judges DQd him for no good reason (although there is speculation about it being for his earlier critical comments about the judging). He was eventually reinstated after Austrian Marcus Rogan, who was moved up to Gold following the DQ spoke out on Piersol's behalf. Phelps won #4 in his biggest shoe-in of the games (200m IM), but the Piersol/Rogan story is the biggest of the day. China won their second Gold in badminton today after a come from behind win against the British in mixed doubles.

Wasn't Booker's Spinebuster actually called the Sidewalk Slam? I noticed that but I seem to remember Schiavone calling it that all the time, so figured it was given a seperate name because it was different to the Anderson Spinebuster. Actually, Ron Simmons's spinebuster was the first sidewalk slam, in that it was like a spinebuster but instead of spinning around, Simmons just picked up his opponent and drove the guy straight into the mat, kinda like Batista's. Somewhere along the line, somebody started calling Dino Bravo's side slam a sidewalk slam, and it stuck. Of course, that never stopped Schiavone from calling a ham sandwich a sidewalk slam. Simmons version is what I always thought a sidewalk slam was (despite JR constantly calling it a spinebuster). I thought the Bravo version was simply a side slam.

I probably wouldn't do it, but if QB/WR is what you want, then take Manning & Moss. In a league where passing TDs = running/receiving TDs, Culpepper takes a huge hit, and his terrible turnover ratio and injury-prone status makes him hard to count on. Manning is a consistant, safe pick, and he may make a run at Favre's consecutive game streak before he's done. He is far and away the #1 QB on my board. WR is much closer. Harrison is safer, but Moss has more upside. However, what makes this the easy choice for you is avoiding taking two Colts. If Manning has a bad game, then you will get nothing from Harrison either. In my experience it is better to spread your top guys around different teams. If the Colt & Vikings have seperate bye weeks (I'm not sure), that is ever more reason to take Moss over Harrison. Definitely don't take Culpepper/Moss. The Vikings are one of the least consistant teams in the league, and the above would affect them even more than the Colts duo. If you must have Culpepper for some reason, take Harrison with him. I also generally take an RB in the first round like the people here, unless I really don't like who's left and Moss or Harrison are still there. I never take a QB in the first round.

Yep. You probably would have seen similar reactions in the other big smark cities (New York, Boston & Philadelphia) too. Look at how Boston reacted to HHH/Steiner at Rumble 03. Most of Canada is pretty smarkish in general.

RVD isn't any worse than JBL in the ring (though neither are good), but he suffers alot in the character, mic skills, and charisma department, so no, he is not a better choice to be champ than JBL, who isn't a good main eventer in the first place. Bad wrestlers have gotten good main event runs. Wrestlers with poor mic skills have gotten good main event runs. Wrestlers without the 'look' have gotten good main event runs. But if you have neither talent, speaking ability, or look, like RVD, then you have no chance.

Sports that should be part of the Olympics
Kahran Ramsus replied to Masked Man of Mystery's topic in Sports
Squash. It is in the Commonwealth Games, and it should be here too.
