I agree with CWM, and have said so before. Wins and losses are what matters, moreso than the amount of TV time you get. Benoit is not the type of character or wrestler that you can give 30 minutes of interview time to every week. He just comes out, wrestles, wins, and leaves. Kind of like Goldberg in WCW, except Benoit does it with fantastic competitive matches instead of squashes. It is much better than Jericho's title run where he was less important in the storyline than Trip's dog.

Which discussion show is 2nd best to PTI?
Kahran Ramsus replied to The Czech Republic's topic in Sports
OTR, easily. ATH is okay, but too gimmicky. -
Last week everybody was complaining about Benoit being champion. Now they are complaining that he is going to lose the belt. What the hell do you want? I personally think that Benoit has a lot of life left as champion, but this is hardly unexpected so I can't be too upset.

Booker's best singles WWF/E match was against HHH at Wrestlemania XIX. It was mucho disappointing live, but in retrospect it holds up better than the Jericho/HBK match that preceded it. I'm pretty sure he had good matches with Kurt Angle during the Invasion, but I haven't seen them since, so I could be wrong. Part of the problem with Booker is that because of how poorly he is booked, most of his best matches are on free TV. Thus, they usually are forgotten. It also must be remembered that he is well past his prime wrestling years (1998-2000). He was never Chris Benoit to begin with, but he's a step above chumps like RVD, Christian, Mark Jindrak, etc.

Harris & Eves did improve the situation. They managed to cut the deficit by $9 billion and saved the economy with their tax cuts. Dalton is making things worse, back to the NDP days.

C'mon dude, it's not that fair to generalize us all here in TO. A lot of us voted anything BUT red. The Liberal's as a minority government will be largely ineffectual and 10 bucks [Canadian] says that there'll be another election in two years or less. I really feel sorry for you guys that live in TO, but are intelligent enough not to vote Liberal. The Liberals won 44 seats in Toronto though. It is just rediculous. What really worries me isn't so much the outcome of this election, but if the majority of Toronto is still so forgiving of the Liberals, I'm an extremely worried that Dalton McGuinty will get re-elected. Bob Rae destroyed the province 15 years ago, and now McGuinty is doing the exact same things. Give him two terms and we will be bankrupt. It affects me more directly than anything the feds can do.

Geez, get some perspective. All of those things you mentioned, combined, are barely a drop in the bucket. Give me balanced budgets and the occasional spending bobble anyday over yearly eleven-figure deficits and social conservatism. Just don't get sick. Otherwise you will die while waiting 6 months for the operation due to Martin's budget cuts.

Sad to say, but this result may have just lost Quebec. The increase of support for the serperatist movement is a direct result of AdScam.

Have I ever mentioned how much I fucking hate Toronto? The Liberals have ruined the country in the past 11 years and are a bunch of criminals that were caught red-handed, but Ontario and especially Toronto gave them another governement. This is a dark day for Canada.

Oh come on, Savio wasn't THAT bad. a 10:00 match vs. Yokozuna, a match vs. the Road Dogg, and a match vs. Mabel. Please don't defend Savio judging from KOTR 95 And a match with IRS on the Free For All.
-
I thought Roadie / Holly and HBK / Kama were decent... Two Mabel matches, FOUR Savio matches, the two most popular wrestlers (Taker & Shawn) getting knocked out in the first round, and a lame tag team main event featuring Diesel & Sid. Worst WWF show ever.

Adscam was a media creation. The stuff they did was standard government practice -- ANY government -- to get money from where it was to where it needed to go. Everyone blew it up into farcical proportions because they don't understand how financial mechanisms work in government, due to the ridiculous restrictions placed on the flow of money from one department to another. If that was the case, then Martin would have dealth with it before the election. That he didn't, suggests he is hiding something.
-
Yeah, I got confused. For some reason I thought the debut was at SS 91. That's when he won the title.

I got him. The same time I finished off Nemesis.

By the IWC, Who is is the most Overrated Wrestler
Kahran Ramsus replied to a topic in General Wrestling
Shawn Michaels. He is criticized by smarks, but for his attitude, not for his wrestling ability whom most consider still at the top of the line. But he has yet to have a single great match since coming back, that didn't include Chris Benoit, the best worker in the company and even managed to drag Kane to a good match. His match with HHH on RAW at the beginning of the year was really good too, but of all the singles matches he had with HHH, that was the only standout, so it seems to be more of an exception than the rule. His Jericho match at Wrestlemania XIX was decent but horribly overrated, and was carried by Jericho anyways. His RVD match was just awful. He has been back for almost two years now, I think its about time to admit he doesn't have it like he used to. HONORABLE MENTIONS: RVD (would have been number 1 two years ago, but more people are starting to sour on him now), Christian, Kidman As a general rule, guys with flashy moves and good bumping ability, but little use of pyschology and long-term selling tend to be overrated. In Christian's case, it was due to him being one half of the best tag team since the Hollywood Blondes. -
It wasn't them that destroyed healthcare, it was the federal government. And how is delisting services and raising premiums going to help healthcare get back on track. A vote for McGuinty is a vote for privatization. The biggest problem with the education system right now is inadequate teachers or at least it was when I was in school during the Tory government. Caving into the union is only going to make things worse. I also don't think it is too much to ask kids to be able to pass a basic literacy test before graduating high school. The purpose of school is to get an education, not to get a piece of paper. I was speaking to the small-l liberals in general. The NDP will win several seats and have won at the provincial level before, so it isn't like you are voting for the Green. The Liberals are so corrupt, I just don't know why more of their supporters haven't jumped ship.

The Producers is up there too. My personal favourite is Young Frankenstein.

When Paul Martin was finance minister his one and only goal was to eliminate the deficit. How he accomplished this was by major cutbacks, primarily of the military and from health care, leaving the provinces to pick up the pieces. This was the reason health care is in the mess it is now with long wait times, not enough beds, etc.. Additionally, in Ontario's new budget, Liberal Premier Dalton McGuinty who is in support of Paul Martin, raised health care premiums by about $1000 a year per person, and delisted several services from OHIP, most notibly physiotherapy and eye examinations. In other words, McGuinty is marching towards an American-style health care system, and this is the guy that Martin has been backing. Martin, of course, denies this, but they have been caught lying so many times that there is no reason to believe him this time, and the actions of himself and McGuinty in the past suggest that this is what he's going for. McGuinty is also spending a good amount of money (I forget how much right now), that he promised to health care, on sewer systems instead. As for stealing money, just look at Ascam and the fiasco involving Martin's off-shore shipping company. Martin promised that he would get to the bottom of this scandal before the election, but he never did. Did you watch the debate? These issues were brought forth by Harper, Layton & Duceppe and Martin didn't bother answering them at all. BTW, if you are left wing, why don't you vote NDP? I certainly don't agree with them, but they will certainly defend your interests a lot better than the Liberals will.

State Of Morale In World Wrestling Entertainment
Kahran Ramsus replied to haVoc's topic in The WWE Folder
He isn't worth what it takes to use him properly. He never should have been hired, period. Same with the NWO in 2002. -
So you like the health care system being gutted and your tax money stolen by the government? Interesting country you want. Hell, it almost split up during Chretien's first majority. The Liberals are hardly the great protector of this country. The Liberals have acted like criminals for 11 years now, and you are still voting for them. Between Paul Martin & Dalton McGuinty, the health care system will be fucked for years. Since most Canadians do consider that the most important issue (according to polls), a vote for the Liberals on those grounds would be absolutely insane. If someone keeps fucking you over, don't keep voting for them.

I was a big fan of Willy Beamish back in the day. That and Maniac Mansion.

I've gotten that with Schilling, Pedro & Nomar, when the Sox were leading the Wild Card race. Nobody bit, and they made the playoffs only to blow a 2-0 lead in the ALDS to Seattle.

Proof that talent counts for nothing this company
Kahran Ramsus replied to a topic in The WWE Folder
Jamie Noble is the most wasted talent in WWE right now. He can talk, he's the best CW wrestler they have outside of Rey Rey, he's over, and he has a more ground-based style that you think would make him more popular with the bookers than other guys his size. I would like to say that London was dead in the water after the more charismatic Spanky left, but they weren't pushing that team anyways. London should be a CW Title contender, or in the tag division, I can't see him ever doing any more than that. He's a good wrestler and all, but he's very bland. He is not as charismatic as Rey Rey or Chavo. -
What's right and wrong in today's society?
Kahran Ramsus replied to Jobber of the Week's topic in Current Events
I'm pro-death penalty and pro-choice, so I might not be the right person to answer this, but the idea is that certain criminals are simply too dangerous to let live, whereas embryos are innocent. If life inprisonment actually meant life imprisonment that's one thing, but it doesn't. I don't think it should be used as often as it isin the US, but if a criminal is a raving lunatic who will clearly do it again if he gets out (those 'it was a message from God' types, for example) then death is really the only safe alternative. It should be a last resort, but it should be an option. -
Those that want Vince to be fired because he won't stop Steph need only to look at Germany in the 1930s. As soon as Hindenberg was out of the picture, things got much worse. Steph is who needs to go.
