Am I the only one who thinks that's the most meaningless subject line we've had here so far? It describes the interview well. RVD won't talk about the incident.

Why would you push a guy who may jump to TNA in a month? It would be a terrible business decision. Ignore his talent for a moment. There is absolutely no chance he will be pushed unless he resigns.

Shawn didn't stand a chance anyways, and rightfully so.

Exactly. I feel the same way. The only down side is Atlantic Canada would be physically cut off from the rest of the country, possibly leading to either annexation by the US or independence or the status quo would remain, but things would definately be different. My big problem is that most of Quebec (geographically) don't want to go. I'm talking about the native populations in the north who have said quite clearly that they want to stay in Canada, and the western areas with a large English population (Gatineau and the like). However, the area of Quebec that wants to seperate have virtually nothing with which to support themselves and won't willingly let the north stay in Canada. Not only is it hypocritical, but it would create a huge mess in the new independent Quebec. Most seperatists haven't thought this thing out clearly. The other problem, of course, is that the reason in large part that their culture survives is due to protection by Canada. If they split, I don't see how they could deal with the big bad English United States on their own, when they are surrounded by the new entirely English speaking Canada as well.

Weekend Boxoffice Report June 11-13
Kahran Ramsus replied to Youth N Asia's topic in Television & Film
Well it's total gross vs. total budget that matters, not opening week. Yeah, but it is going to be hardpressed to do that with a $20 million opening weekend. A film needs roughly double their production and advertising budget worldwide to turn a profit. Domestic box office generally makes up about 50% of that total so if it makes back its budget in the US, it is probably going to be a success. There are exceptions for certain films, like Troy which do much better overseas than in the US and those like Spider-Man which don't have a big following overseas and need to make the bulk of its money in the US. Riddick certainly appears to be in trouble, and it is looking more and more like Harry Potter is going to be the top grossing movie of the summer (it is close to Shrek in the US and more popular internationally). -
If Quebec wants to leave, although I won't be happy about it, I don't think we should force them to stay. However, it would have to be full independence. You are either fully in Canada or fully out of it. No in between.

Most of the adult actors in the Harry Potter films, Alan Rickman, Gary Oldman, Kenneth Branaugh and the like. You can add Brendan Gleeson to that list now that he's going to be in the next one. They were underrated long before the Potter flicks, except maybe Branaugh in the Henry V days. Another two of my favourites who actually are starting to get noticed are Brian Cox and Chris Cooper. They were underrated for years too.

Honestly, WWE really does need HHH right now, just as long as he doesn't become too dominant again thus making the product too predictable.

True. Olympic Hockey is HUGE in Canada.

The 1998 Yankees aren't even the best team in the history of the Yankees. I'm sure alkeiper will back me up on that one. Both the McCarthy & Stengel eras were better, as well the 1927 team and I would probably even argue the 1961 team.

The 1985 Chicago Bears have to be high on the list.

The Mega-Powers vs. Ric Flair, Arn Anderson, Lex Luger, Kevin Sullivan, Meng, Barbarian, Zeus and Bane from Batman & Robin in a loser cage match with vaguely defined rules at Uncensored 96.

I would put Harrison before him. After all, before he had been in office a month, he died. Harrison wasn't around long enough to do any damage. Harding is a better argument, or Grant who also had a regime of massive corruption.

Christian to miss a few months of action...
Kahran Ramsus replied to Garth's topic in The WWE Folder
I wish Kurt Angle, who is a far better talent than Christian, would learn that lesson. -
I'd, personally, replace Wilson with Truman. -=Mike Truman botched the Korean War, lost China to the Communists and let Stalin get the bomb. Wilson was let down by a crappy Congress.
-
Reagan is either 1 or 2 depending on my mood. FDR would be the other one. Like Mike said, those were the two best and most influential (in a positive way at least) presidents of the 20th Century. The second tier consists of Wilson, Teddy & Eisenhower in no particular order. Nobody else was that remarkable. Carter was the worst, and possibly the worst in US history.

There goes that healthier argument I used in the Edge or Christian thread. -
Joe Carter vs. Mitch Williams

If he gets off, then I've completely lost faith in that region except for Israel, Turkey and possibly Iran whenever the inevitable revolution takes place there. Even Liberals agree that he was an evil, evil man. They just don't think that he was any threat to us.

Here is my big problem with the movie, besides the political stuff which is more of rant against those who would use this to push their agendas despite being about as scientifically accurate as Star Wars. The problem is that it tries to be something more than a big dumb disaster movie and tries downright to get away from that after the first act, yet ends up being nothing more than a big dumb disaster movie. It fails at what it is trying to do. That's more or less it. Something like Deep Impact, which is a flawed but better movie which tries to be a serious disaster flick, was at least smart enough to save the explosions 'til the end.

Yeah, right. Thanks to Jean Chretien, our army couldn't take down a Trekkie convention. As for the topic, I highly doubt that this will amount to anything. Lebanon is probably happy about it. They get rid of some Palestinians and the west blames Israel. Its win win.
