Stephanie McMahon directly made the call...
Kahran Ramsus replied to QuestionMan's topic in The WWE Folder
Not so Clear. Shane is neck and neck with her. Stuff sabotages people off screen, Shane does it on screen. Shane only ruins those in angles with him. Steph can ruin anybody, anytime. -
Who is your teams greatest player of all time?
Kahran Ramsus replied to Vern Gagne's topic in Sports
The greatest Packer of them all is Don Hutson. The second best WR of all-time, behind Jerry Rice, and about #5 overall. For the Jays it is pretty obvious, Carlos Delgado. -

Steph is clearly the worst McMahon. -
Van Hellsing: Thoughts, opinions, and criticism!

Having enjoyed the Mummy, I had reasonable expectations headed into this. I was hoping it would be more Mummy than Mummy Returns. Needless to say, it isn't nearly as good as Mummy Returns. Utter trash. Jackman deserves better. -
2002 was one of the worst years in WWE history. 2003 was at least watchable.

This season is terrible. Aside from Rob, none of them are playing with any sort of intelligence whatsoever, and even he made a bad move this week. This season went downhill as soon as Rich got voted out. Rob is obviously the best guy there, but he's still not playing nearly as good a game as Brian or Rich did on their respective shows. And this seems a particularly stupid jury so he probably won't even win. It reminds me of Marquesas (easily the worst show prior to this one). Whether this will be worse depends on the ending. The season can redeem itself if Rob takes home the prize. But I doubt it.

I was referring to Jonathon.

I'm close to giving up on WWE forever...
Kahran Ramsus replied to UseTheSledgehammerUh's topic in The WWE Folder
RAW's the best it has been in 3 and 1/2 years, so quit complaining. Benoit is not being buried. If you want to watch bad RAWs, head back to 1999. Man those stunk. -
Round Six of The RPG Character Tourney 2k4
Kahran Ramsus replied to Lightning Flik's topic in Video Games
Citan, Jowy & Ramsus all go out in the same round? Who the hell is voting in these things? Kain Tir McDohl Luca Blight Magus/Janus Zeal The finals are going to be downright sad. -
Fair enough. I put in their batting stats in my last post just to help argue my point. A-Rod was #2, I just think that the league gave it to him because he was the easier choice, since Toronto had already won the Cy Young and because of the year Tejada won it instead of A-Rod.
-
A-Rod may be the best player in the AL (Pujols & Bonds are both better), but Delgado had a better season than he did last year. That's why he shouldn't have won the MVP. Delgado .302 AVG, 42 HR, 117 R, 145 RBI, .426 OBP, 1.019 OPS A-Rod .298 AVG, 47 HR, 124 R, 118 RBI, .396 OBP, .995 OPS A-Rod was better than Delgado in only runs scored and homeruns. In every other category Delgado was better than A-Rod, including OBP & OPS which are the two most important stats. In 2003, Delgado was better than A-Rod and since the MVP award is for that season only, he and not A-Rod should have won.

Woohoo! Flyers win!

You probably should have picked up Ultimate X-Men. It is the most like Morrison's run which I am in agreement on with most of the other people here. It was the best thing to happen to the core books since the 80s. I am willing to give Whedon a chance, but early reviews seem to indicate that it is back to business as usual with Claremont and Austen is generally even worse. Neither Claremont nor Austen has any business writing the book anymore. Claremont is especially painful because he was the guy who made the X-Men, but he is in George Lucas territory as being a senial old fool who is completely living off of his past accomplishments.

The announcers mentioned it.

The melting of the icecaps won't change sealevel at all. It is already in the ocean. Melting the continental glaciers in Greenland & Antarctica would make a difference, but it still isn't the real problem. By far the biggest concern is the expansion of water molecules due to the warming of the oceans. You can try this yourself at home. Water expands when heated. Using a large scale, the earth is getting cooler, not warmer. Global warming, even if you are right about us being the cause of it, is only something that will affect the current interglacial. Nothing we can do can compare to the factors (plate positions, axial tilt, extraterrestrial impacts) that are the cause of every ice age we have ever been in, and are still in fact in. Anything we can do at this point will be very minor in the geologic timescale. You are right about the last part, even though the reason is still faulty. Climate always changes. It either gets colder or warmer, and life adapts to it. If you are trying to stop it, you're fighting a battle you can't win. Latest estimates are at about 1.5 degrees Celcius over the next century. Down from the 8 degrees predicted in the 1988 due to better climate models, computers, etc. You are almost right here. Yes, latitude is important, but due to the rotation of the earth the west coast will get it pretty bad whereas the climate on the east coast (especially in the interior, places like Ohio, Indiana & Ontario) of North America would actually improve. The equatorial regions of the world won't experience much change at all. They were roughly the same during the Cretaceous as it is now. The north and west of continents would experience the most change. Maybe. I don't know the local weather patterns in Southern California. However, the heat island effect has produced tornados in other cities (most famously Atlanta). Cities are hotter than the surrounding country-side due to lower albedo, and as a result new airmasses are formed above cities and produce cyclones with the cooler air above the surrounding country. As for tornados, it would probably be rare that cyclones are created that are that strong, but it certainly could happen. California seems pretty warm regardless, so I would guess that it wouldn't happen there, but I don't know. It is certainly a possibility in other places. Yeah, you're right here.

Hell is Other Robots would have to be my favourite episode, if only for the final act in Robot Hell with the snappy musical number. However, the rest of the episode is great too featuring Bender finding religion after becoming a drug addict.

He did all of that except take the title back from the Undisputed Championship. He created a new title, once again called it the World Heavyweight Championship, and brought back the old belt, but he never took back his portion of the Undisputed Championship. This was made quite clear at the time. Brock, since there was a new title on RAW, simply went back to being called the WWE Champion, but kept the actual Undisputed Title. The Undisputed Championship is still around the waist of Eddy Guerrero. Benoit's belt was created in September 2002, and has the same name and actual belt as the old World Heavyweight Championship held by the Rock. Not that it matters much. I'm all for the idea that a title only means as much as how it is being used currently or in the immediate past. But from a historical perspective, Eddy has the more valuable title.
-
Wrong. Bischoff never did take it back. He came up with a completely new title that happened to be the same physical belt as the old WCW Championship. That's all it is. The lineage of the WCW World Title is in Eddy's belt. They could have easily done the above like you said, but they didn't.
-
They weren't that hard. They are certainly beatable, even within a rental period at the time. You just had to work at it. ESB is the hardest of the three, but it still isn't too bad. There are much harder games out there.

BTW, Jowy Blight is the best character in the tournament, not Citan or Kain. -

Am I the only one who thinks that the Yanks would be making a mistake by going after him? They have enough cranky, injury-prone, veterans on the decline already. They would be much better off trying to get someone like Zito or Hudson from the As. The Yanks need to get younger in a hurry.

Xenogears & Xenosaga are linked, but Xenogears is not part of the Xenosaga series. Even if it is kept as canon, it takes place 10000 years after the entire Xenosaga series (not just Episode 1). Xenogears is for all intensive purposes a completely seperate game.

That never has happened to me. I've never seen the CPU make trades at all actually (for my team, I don't mean between two CPU teams).

You can edit a lot in the third. It changes for each game. The big battles in II & III are better. The battle system in the first two is quite generic, but it is still more than adequate and the 6 member parties make up for it. The revamped system in III is great.
