I liked it better than I did Spider-Man.

Big Show will continue with pretty much what he's been doing. His World Title shots will disappear, but he'll be a top level guy for short in-between PPV feuds for the World Champion and a US Title competitor the rest of the time. Angle I don't expect to be around too much before he gets hurt again, so there isn't much point in worrying about him. This is assuming HHH stays on Smackdown.

I think the big difference is that Perfect was healthy for the KOTR 93 match, but was wrestling injured in 1991. That said, 1991 is probably more emotional to most people, but for me 1993 was bigger. Pretty much everyone I knew who followed wrestling in 1993 were either firmly Bret Hart fans or Mr. Perfect fans (I was the latter) and it made for a very heated match watching it live. It also has much better pyschology with both guys trying to fake each other out, without making it obvious. 1993 is the better pure match. The other match from KOTR that tends to be overlooked is Shawn/Austin from 1997 which I feel is much better than the Wrestlemania match for many of the same reasons. Except in that case, both guys were hurt for the one match.

Actually, they were dropping if I remember correctly. I know they got something in the 5.4 range for the draft night, which was high for the time.

Most jobs to the same guy without a win
Kahran Ramsus replied to Steve J. Rogers's topic in General Wrestling
What about Warrior/Bravo in 1990. They fought each other pretty much every week for about 8 months and Warrior won every time. -
I question the Jindrak selection more than Dupree. I voted 2002. RAW really got raped in that draft and subsequent lottery. If I remember correctly Smackdown got Rock, HHH, Jericho (then coming off a World Title reign), Hogan (coming off the Rock match and superover), Angle, Benoit, Edge, Christian, Lance Storm and generally everyone else worth having besides Undertaker & Booker T (I hate RVD, and it was Lesnar's second week). The thing that really pisses me off this time is the Heyman pick. I really liked him on Smackdown and I absolutely can't stand Stephanie, yet this will probably allow her to come back. I also think that they can have better uses for Heyman than to revive a dead bush-league promotion that wasn't any good since 1995, and put it over Velocity/Confidential which I actually like.

I've heard that the finish of Summerslam 1999 had to be changed either because Austin didn't want to job to HHH (unlikely considering he did at No Mercy) or because Jesse Ventura was against a heel going over in his match and Austin wasn't healthy enough to wrestle the next night.

I was worried that she was going to show up tonight, and now my fears have pretty much been confirmed.

Jaws 2 has Brody holding the cable in front of him and when the shark goes to attack him he bites the cable. Maybe you are thinking of the Ride, where Jaws does bite some random cable during the final attack and fries.

The thoughts on the Undertaker...
Kahran Ramsus replied to Open the Muggy Gate's topic in The WWE Folder
There was already a thread made about this last week, so I'm going to close it. -
Generally, I would move this but since this has turned into a debate on Jimmy Carter rather than the original topic, I'll let it slide for now.

Deceptive headlines/Slanted media reporting

Envy. Or at least outside the US. I'm not sure what American liberals think. -
If Play by play teams are put in draft.....

Three of them are fine. Lawler needs to go. Other than that, keep them as it is. -
Former "Terrorism Czar" speaks out against Bush

He also blamed Clinton, so I don't see what your point is. Face it, EVERYBODY screwed up in the years before 9/11. -
Harper wins Conservative leadership
Kahran Ramsus replied to Kahran Ramsus's topic in Current Events
Huh? Wasn't that the point of electing Harper? Because his power base is out west (Stronach & Clement were both from Ontario). And there hasn't been a PM that supported Ontario since as long as I can remember. Borden maybe. Every PM in my life time, most notably Jean Chretien, gave Ontario the shaft in favour of Quebec. Quebec is the one that always gets all the attention, not Ontario. As far as Canadian/US relations are concerned, losing Chretien for Martin greatly improved relations immediately. Chretien's cabinet and strongest supporters were openly hostile to the United States (Americans=Nazis and the like). Martin is a lot better, but he has a big hole to dig his way out of because he is a part of the same party of Chretien. -
Toronto plays Boston 6 times in April and another 7 in May. They don't play New York until July 26th. Toronto also plays the mighty Tigers 6 times in the first 10 days.

I have never had any problem getting rentals to work. I have never bought used DVDs or games since the demise of the cartridge era. Not that I wouldn't, just that I tend to buy it when it comes out if I want it.

Okay then, small animals present no problem whatsoever. Just keep it in mind if you are ever driving up in Canada.

http://toronto.bluejays.mlb.com/NASApp/mlb...4news&fext=.jsp McGowan & Rios, especially, are future stars. ------------------------------------------ It never was a concern about how it would affect his ability to play. The concern was that it would be re-injured fairly easily, and that would be a big problem to the Yankees.

Benoit is 'just a transitional champion'...
Kahran Ramsus replied to Use Your Illusion's topic in The WWE Folder
Hey, guess what? If Brock didn't quit, Eddy would be a transitional champion too. And that is more because they probably don't know what to do yet. -
It has to be checked in. Which is why any responsible store makes sure that it is done right before the due time.

Benoit is 'just a transitional champion'...
Kahran Ramsus replied to Use Your Illusion's topic in The WWE Folder
I think you're exaggerating things in order to make your point. It's not like Benoit was getting steamrollered every week by Trips and Michaels. He was just made to appear as an underdog, I think Benoit was made to look like a third wheel. HHH and HBK were trying to feud, and DAMNIT, that Benoit just wouldn't get out of their feud. Yep, and he ended up kicking both their asses. That's why it worked in retrospect. They were ignoring him and he ended up beating them both, while they couldn't keep their egos in check. -
Benoit is 'just a transitional champion'...
Kahran Ramsus replied to Use Your Illusion's topic in The WWE Folder
The WCW Belt and the current World Title are not the same championship. The WCW lineage is in the WWE Title (formerly the Undisputed Championship) held by Eddy Guerrero. When Brock Lesnar jumped to Smackdown after he beat Rock for the Undisputed Title, Bischoff created a new World Championship and gave it to HHH in the form of the same physical belt as the old WCW World Championship. The title history begins there. Lesnar's Undisputed Title was never split up, it was simply remade into the WWE Championship. -
Philly 10-6 Dallas 8-8 Washington 5-11 New York 11-5 Not only do none of the three win the Super Bowl, I don't think they will take the division either. New York is a lot better than they showed last year, and should rebound in a big way this year. Philly is past their peak (2002), even with Kearse & Owens. Dallas is going nowhere fast unless Parcells makes a big upgrade at QB. Washington got Gibbs, but nothing else. Portis needs Denver more than they need Portis. He has talent, but he's no Tomlinson or Ahman Green.
