True that. In Montreal people assume sidewalk = freeway. Quebec, and Montreal in particular, is known for having the worst drivers in North America.

It is somewhat left in the air whether everything that happens after Anderton is placed in stasis is a dream or not. It is certainly much debated. Much like the ending to Total Recall, except in that case everything after the first 10 minutes would be a dream. As for the topic at hand, three movies immediately come to mind that have not been already mentioned here. Bonnie & Clyde Butch Cassidy & The Sundance Kid Unforgiven All three had extremely powerful endings. I also have a lot of love for the ending to Raiders of the Lost Ark. Everything from the opening of the Ark to the final scene in the military warehouse with thousands of similar boxes is awesome stuff. One of the great things about the Indiana Jones movies is that he never gets what he after at the end. The classic with the worse ending is Psycho. Everything that happens after Bates is caught is completely unnecessary. For those that have not seen it, it goes on for a further five minutes where a psychiatrist explains everything about why Norman did what he did. It is a complete waste of time and the movie ends really flat as a result. Rear Window had a really weak ending too.

My biggest pet peeve as far as vehicles are concerned (besides the way morons behave at gas pumps), is driving the wrong way on a one-way street or a split high-way. I see it time and time again in certain places (like Oshawa & Toronto) and it never ceases to amaze me how stupid somebody can be not to realize that all the traffic is going in the opposite direction that they are. My driving instructor when I was first learning to drive 10 years ago was once nearly killed when a maniac was driving the opposite direction on the 401 directly in front him. Fortunately a lane opened up next to him, and he made it out of there.

You can't always count on them to do that, and I can guarantee you that you will end up with problems in the future where there are lots of elderly or handicapped people around. Or kids in a residential sub-burb. You are talking about people that either can't physically move out of the way or don't realize that you are coming. On country roads it is a different matter entirely. During the day you are generally okay, but at dusk and at night, I have seen many a truck smashed to bits by crashing into a moose or grizzly. When you're dealing with trees (or a swamp) on both sides and a moose taking up all the space in the road (and believe me, they can and do) you don't have much option. If you are lucky, the sides of the road will be clear and you can ditch the truck.

Speaking of that. Demolition certainly falls into this category. Notice how their heat plummeted after they finally got rid of their awesome theme.

Benoit is 'just a transitional champion'...
Kahran Ramsus replied to Use Your Illusion's topic in The WWE Folder
Benoit won the Royal Rumble from #1, and then won the title by making HHH submit at Mania. We all know he is going to lose to HHH, but the difference between Benoit & Jericho is that Benoit isn't booked as a joke. Even the poor booking between Rumble & Mania didn't matter because in the end he won. Ten years from now when they do Wrestlemania XXX most people probably won't remember what happened afterwards, it is what happened at Royal Rumble & Wrestlemania that will be remembered. This is why I said before Wrestlemania, that it was at Wrestlemania that Benoit had to win, even if it meant losing in his hometown at Backlash. Wrestlemania is the big one. Jericho/HBK was the same way from XIX, and we saw how that damaged Jericho's career even though he got the win back later. -
I always liked Faarooq better than Bradshaw.

The best thing for the Democrats would be if Dean just went away.

It was the triple threat. Best WWE three way ever.

When I was up working near a provincial park campground, every summer the Friday night of either the Canada weekend or the Civic Holiday weekend people would come in with their cars and trailers, etc asking where to make reservations for the campground. This despite the fact that those weekends are booked full 3 years in advance. One would think that a good time to find out would not be at 10:00 PM Friday night on the long weekend. At least once a week some Americans would ask (fully serious) where they could go snowmobiling/downhill skiing...in July! I would also get Americans asking how to get to Toronto, which would generally be two hours back the direction from which they came. And finally, the #1 pet peeve that would happen several times a day during weekends in the summer, Americans wanting to pay for everything in American funds and get American change back, and then get pissed when you tell them that we have different currency.

I deleted it. It was just fluff and didn't belong there.

Sagat. Even in the terrible movie, Wes Studi's Sagat was entertaining.

Piper was extremely entertaining as was Heenan, but Foley was the best at getting his target over.

It certainly was the agents fault, but I also blame TO because he couldn't figure that out and instead said it was the league's fault. Whether he got on the Eagles or not, TO should still be smart enough to fire that bum.

For the hell of it, top 5 Wrestlemania arenas/stadiums. 5. Trump Plaza, Wrestlemanias IV & V 4. Hoosier Dome, Wrestlemania VIII 3. SkyDome, Wrestlemanias VI & XVIII 2. Madison Square Garden, Wrestlemanias I, X & XX 1. Silverdome, Wrestlemania III The worst is the Pond. I sure hope they never go back there.

Road Warriors British Bulldogs The best team in NWA history versus the best team in WWF history. The way it should be.

I liked the Widowmaker as a kid.

Diesel/Razor was also pretty good from SS 94. I really didn't like anything from 99 besides the Shane/Test match, but it was still better than 88.

WWE sure knows how to run a business
Kahran Ramsus replied to Kurt Angle Mark's topic in The WWE Folder
I like this idea. Especially if it is a draft rather than a lottery. Drafts are always fun. -
There is no chance Benoit will either get stripped or be moved to Smackdown with Backlash in Edmonton. That was the main reason for moving him to RAW in the first place. And if Benoit keeps the title, Eddy keeps his title and stays on Smackdown. As for the minor titles, I don't know.

He'll be feuding with a face-turned Batista.
-
He overrated the good matches and underrated the bad matches (aside from Brock/Berg), but he's more or less got the right idea.

I'm not quite sure what NY Untouchable is talking about. The crowd was very loud on television (well, the webcast anyways).

John Cena vs. Big Show: Simple, fun match which served its purpose. It was certainly watchable, but not good. ** RAW Tag Titles: Much like the first one, although the ending to this was way too abrupt and it didn't tell much of a story. They really could have done a lot more, but it wasn't actively bad. *3/4 Christian vs. Chris Jericho: I liked the match, and I liked the ending which honestly I didn't see coming largely because I wasn't paying much attention to the lame feud. However, the botch spots annoyed me so I will deduct it for that. The potential is definitely there if they decide to continure this feud though. **3/4 Evolution vs. Rock & Sock Connection: It was certainly entertaining aside from the end, and it was clearly Rock & Flair that made this match. The heat segment with Foley also went on too long. Foley did okay, but Orton & Batista were clearly over their heads. **1/2 Playboy Match: We've seen two of them nude, and the other two didn't show off anything we haven't seen on RAW. What is the point of this again? I won't rate it, because I used it as an excuse for a bathroom break and didn't see all of it. Cruiserweight Open: I found it entertaining, but as a match it was a complete mess. 1/4* for the Shooting Star. 1/4* for Chavo winning. 1/2* Goldberg vs. Brock Lesnar: WMOTN. Stalllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll... and then their usual stuff at the end. It was something like 13 minutes but seemed like 30. This was bad by Goldberg's standards, let alone Brock's. -*** and they deserve it. Smackdown Tag Match: A couple of good spots from WGTT, but that's it. The wrong team went over too. The RAW match was much better. One star, but jobbing WGTT forces me to lower it. 3/4* Molly Holly vs. Victoria: Just an excuse for the head shaving. I expected so much more, but they weren't given time. 1/2* Eddy Guerrero vs. Kurt Angle: The match I paid to see. They slightly let me down, but it was still far and away better than everybody else. Not as good as Eddy/Brock, but still a great match with a great finish. **** Undertaker vs. Kane: Usual Taker match. 1/2* Triple Threat: This match completely had me on the edge of my seat, and make no mistake this was Benoit's match from start to finish. Anything that he was involved in hear was great. HHH did his part well too. Shawn was the weak point in the match as he was his usual noselling self (bumping does not equal selling) and really didn't belong in the match in the first place, especially since he wasn't involved in the fall. It was a good decision not to though, and the final confrontations between Benoit & HHH completely made the show. Best Triple Threat match ever, and probably my new #1 markout moment replacing the Horsemen reunion on Nitro in Sept 1998. ****1/2 OVERALL: Pretty much a repeat of Wrestlemanias VIII & X. Two big matches save the show.
