This was always a game that would be awfully tough for the Packers to win. It isn't that big a loss, more important is being able to come back after this and win against Tampa next week.
-
VX - Better defence, better coach, and Marshall Faulk is a huge difference maker that I don't believe 909 can match.
-
Chicago scares me far more than Minnesota at this point.
-
Sad, but true. As good as Sanders was, my first image of him is the -1 Yards he had in the playoffs against Green Bay.

Kate Hepburn Charlton Heston

VX - Too much firepower here on both sides of the ball. 909 - The one big difference here is Barry Sanders, but I don't think he will be enough going up against that defence led by Nitschke. Montana is a big upgrade over Starr as well, as much as it pains me to say it. Gert T - Goblin has Unitas, but Gert T has a two-headed monster at RB and the best receiving corps of any team in the tournament. I'd also give the edge to Gert on defence. That his team is coached by Paul Brown is just a bonus.

He didn't really fit in with what I want to do. Same reason I passed on Brando. I would have taken Newman with my next pick though. Couldn't let him fall any further.
-
Hochuli might have screwed me out of a win. Now I need Dallas to cover.

Arguably the greatest actor that ever lived.

Not as long as Kurt Warner stays upright.

I picked the Niners to win outright. I won my pick, but it was never in any doubt.
-
Great day! Packers win and the rest of the division gets beat.
-
He also said I neglected my secondary when I used three early picks on them. Other than missing out on Johnny Robinson it went pretty much exactly how I wanted it to. Bailey & Renfro are two of the best corners ever and Lynch kills people.
-
Looks like somebody missed their pick.
-
I lost my spine this week.

For my first pick, I am going with another one of my favourite directors ever. He only makes a film once every 5 years, but he almost always hits a homerun. Peter Weir My next pick is the baddest jedi in the galaxy, Ol' Obi-Wan himself... Alec Guinness

Ravishing Rick Rude. He was fantastic in the early 90s, and probably would have been WCW World Champion if not for a crucial injury in 1992. A year and a half after this, he was retired.

Losing Alan Rickman hurts. I was expecting to get him later.

Which brings back into question the 6 that Young managed on the Wonderlic coming out of college. At the time the results were basically disregarded aside from a bit of mocking on boards like this one. Now it appears that the Titans should have paid more attention to it.

Smartly Pretty over EHME - SP has this won at pretty much every position except RB and in the secondary. VX over Brooklyn Zoo - Brett Favre, Marshall Faulk and a murderous defence? I can't vote against that. CanadianChris over HarleyQuinn - Tough one, since both teams are pretty equal, but Barry Sanders is the difference. JustJohn over 909 – You know how 909 mentioned that he didn’t like Holmgren. Well, that’s what I think of Shanahan. jwest27 over Bored – Taylor & White are almost a wash, but I feel that jwest27 has more depth overall. Plus Lombardi & Staubach are proven winners. TheOriginalOrangeGoblin over Tzar – Tzar’s neglection of offence is going to bite him in the ass. Gert T over Fokai – Gert T did basically the same thing I would have done so I cannot not vote for him.

100% agreed. I was between Fiennes and Roth for my last pick.

1. Whose big-win momentum carries through to this weekend-Chicago or Carolina? The Panthers. This is a team that does very well when healthy. They just are never healthy. Since things are looking pretty good at the moment, I think they have enough to beat Chicago. I doubt this good fortune lasts though. 2. How well will rookie Matt Ryan and a running game that left footprints on every Detroit defender perform against the best defense in the NFC last season? Not well. Tampa is a much better team than Detroit with a good veteran defence. I just can't see how a young offence like Atlanta's can handle them, 3. Can New England circle the wagons after the most catastrophic loss in recent memory against their division rivals? Not enough to win. They looked pretty bad last week against the team that I believe to be the worst in the NFL. Granted Huard is an upgrade over Croyle, but he's still not fit to shine Brett Favre's cleats. The Patriots might keep close, but given the bad blood here and the Jets being fired up, it would be a disaster for the Jets if they lose this game. 4. Will the clowns that said "Anybody could shoot the lights out behind that line with those receivers!" finally realize that they're retarded? They will deny they ever said it in the first place. The same thing they always do. 5. Can Cleveland rebound in a huge divisional game? They certainly have the capability of doing so, whether they actually will or not is a different story. I'm tempted to say the Browns will win the upset, if only because this basically wraps up the division in Week 2 if they don't. It will be tough.

Yeah, I thought we were just seeding them randomly and then voting on who would win each matchup.

This is a potential letdown game for Green Bay. They should beat the Lions with ease, but they were unfocused on Monday, especially the offensive line so I worry that they will treat the game seriously enough.
